You ignored this part it's the job of the police to verify statements and act correctly. She has a right to be as racist as she wants, it's the job of the police to take whatever info they get, filter out the crazy, and use the remaining info to correctly ID the situation. Also, you yourself just said 'presumably'. You really think that someone is 100% to blame for something that you're only assuming they did? That's a slippery slope.

You are correct. Change 'tall' to 'short' and it creates a different person. However, I said 'define' not 'create'. While it can be the basis, someone's height/race/gender/etc doesn't define who someone is. Someone can be black and be a harder worker than a white guy. The other way around can be true as well, it just depends on the person. It's the person behind the features that matters more than the features.

This really sounds racist. Just because someone is white or black, male or female, tall or short, comes from a rich or poor background, or is currently in a rich or poor surrounding, that doesn't define who they are as a person. That mentality is what brought me towards 'Men's rights' as opposed to Feminism, but what you said here is why it's hard to actually be associated with it.

That's true. However, they weren't in an ambulance. At least, the article doesn't say they were. I would assume that they were basically on the street. The AED was "procured from a nearby convenience store".

Your argument doesn't address anything that has to do with this situation. On top of that, the driver isn't said to be a woman or a feminist, and that's even just who the hero of the article suspects called the complaint. Even if the complainer was ultra feminist, the police handled it without going to extremes. First and foremost, the police responded correctly to the accusation. If someone was an eye witness to something that happened in the open, and reported to the police "Hey, someone molested that person", there should at least be an investigation. The result was that he was offered recognition that he saved her life. He wasn't thrown in jail for years and then was pardoned after a dramatic court battle or something like that. Doesn't really matter. I think this was part general lack of knowledge of how to use the AED from the driver, and part culture. This really isn't a men's rights issue. It's just reporting that the bus driver didn't know how to use the AED, the police heard that the guy acted like a 'pervert', and reacted appropriately by talking to the guy, and let him go when they found that the bus driver was just overreacting.

It should be MORE controversial, honestly. Name calling is something that I point out whenever a debate or argument goes poorly for one side. It makes that person look childish and it doesn't help resolve anything. In this sub, I see it pointed out whenever a feminist has resorted to name calling to illustrate a point. We should be better than name calling if we want to be considered legitimate.

This isn't about violence against a man, it's violence against a child that happens to be a boy. Just because it's not a Men's Right's issue (yet) doesn't make it less terrible. This won't be a full Men's Right's issue until it comes out that these boy's mother is beating them because they didn't turn out to be girls, or if she manages to get out of punishment earlier, or is treated easier, because she is a woman and not a man.

He wasn't abused BECAUSE he was a boy, he was just abused by his mother. Now, if his mother is able to get out of this situation better than a man would in the same situation, THEN it would become a Men's Right's issue, IMO. I still feel for the kid, though. This should be xposted to a children's rights subreddit, where potentially experienced, prepared, and potentially connected people would be able to talk and potentially do something to help this kid, his brother (who was in the car as well) …
