3	Why do women want/need commitment? Don’t you find that a bit archaic towards men? You’re basically saying men haven’t evolved past needing to biologically impregnate as many women as possible to continue the human race. 5	Why do women want/need commitment? You do realize this statement would go both ways? You’re acting as if men don’t lean on their partners just as much. A relationship/commitment is agreeing to lean on each other for a variety of things, and depending on the relationship these items can be the same or different. If a woman is financially dependent on a man, but she gives him a family and stays home to take care of that family, that is an even trade of responsibility to the relationship.
