Do you think at fault divorce should still exist?Agree to disagree, I suppose. My gut instinct is that men are more likely to end up getting caught and divorced over cheating, so if you are pissed about men losing money in divorce now, I can only imagine it'd be worse if this was enacted. The simplest solution, really, is to never get married in the first place. I see no benefit to it over a regular LTR, other than monetary reasons. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/02/15 05:00 AM
Do you think at fault divorce should still exist? Why should they split assets 50/50 is the better question I imagine you already know this, but the whole argument is that the wife is forgoing her career to be a stay at home mother. I agree, but you can't really enforce it like a breach of contract if by default assets are split 50/50. If divorces automatically split everything in a way that valued each person's contribution, it'd make sense (and then there wouldn't be a need for an arbitrary 20%). I think the best scenario is doing case by cas… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/02/15 04:44 AM
Do you think at fault divorce should still exist?Assets are shared between the couple. If they are 50/50 during marriage, I see no good reason why they shouldn't be in divorce (unless maybe in certain circumstances where the divorce was caused by finances). A man cheats on his wife, so now his property is only 20% his? I don't follow the logic. They don't relate. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/02/15 04:21 AM
Do you think at fault divorce should still exist?Infidelity, substance abuse, emotional/sexual neglect: none of these things have anything to do with assets. Why would you want to overcomplicate things and associate them in a divorce proceeding, other than out of spite or a weird sense of justice? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/02/15 04:15 AM
Why is every women's/feminist sub a "safe space"?How often do you need to identify that you are a woman or a feminist in unrelated conversation? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/02/15 01:08 AM
What are TRP's standards for truth? (Also an experiment)I think that personal experience weighs much higher in something like self improvement or dating advice than other areas of my life. I'm not Red Pill, but if I tried it and it seemed to work, I don't necessarily think I'd need to see studies to believe in the tenets. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/02/15 05:05 PM

| -1 | Circlejerking rule changeThis seems more like playing Devil's Advocate than circlejerking to me. They are being sarcastic, but they are responding more or less with what they think BP's would say. It's almost like a Cunninhham's law type of thing. I really don't see a problem with this as long as their flair is accurate. The real issue is that it seems like RP outnumbers BP on the sub, at least in reply count. Rules for the sake of rules are obnoxious. For the same reason, I hate going to /r/science. I don't think censo… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/02/15 11:45 AM |
