Men erroneously confuse being confident with being an asshole with the whole nice guy/asshole dichotomy and womenAll humans are shallow. Men act the same. I have a friend who just uses men, but they all go crazy for her! It’s insane to watch. She exudes confidence and sexuality and makes you feel like the most important person when she’s talking to you. Thing is she does that to everyone but men lose thier goddamn minds. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 26/01/24 07:43 PM
Men erroneously confuse being confident with being an asshole with the whole nice guy/asshole dichotomy and womenNo, she’s completely spot on. It all comes down to who the woman wants to fuck. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 26/01/24 05:19 PM
| – | The most important thing a man can bring to a woman, is attention (and sex)Sure but good looking mostly means decently fit and well groomed. Anyone can be “good looking” if you take a small amount of care for yourself and develop confidence. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/01/24 04:10 AM |
The most important thing a man can bring to a woman, is attention (and sex)You’re partly right. Confidence/good grooming is the first gate. Then once she’s interested she needs attention to keep her. I think guys on this sub are too hung up on looks. Pretty much anyone can be decent looking if they have good grooming, well fitting clothes, and confidence. “I eat good pussy” attitude goes waaaaaay further than chiseled jaw line…. Trust me. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/01/24 06:11 PM
The most important thing a man can bring to a woman, is attention (and sex)As a woman, I think this is very accurate. Really we just want to be taken care of (emotionally)and listened to and have good, safe sex. If you can provide those three things you are in the top 80% of the pool. Decent looks and confidence will get you most of the rest of the way. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/01/24 01:06 AM
What do you feel not heard about? man or woman. And are you willing to listen to the other side?Never in my life has a man I wasn’t currently sleeping with care about my orgasms. Do men lack empathy for women? I mean not being able to get an intimate sexually fulfilling relationship is hard. It’s something that I’ve struggled with immensely in my life. Do you have empathy for me? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/11/23 12:19 AM
What do you feel not heard about? man or woman. And are you willing to listen to the other side?Wait a second, male loneliness is the same as not being able to cum in a vagina????? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/11/23 12:00 AM
What do you feel not heard about? man or woman. And are you willing to listen to the other side? That’s simply not true. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/11/23 10:31 PM
What do you feel not heard about? man or woman. And are you willing to listen to the other side?Yeah I don’t think women generally have empathy for not being able to get your balls drained. I have a ton of empathy for guys who struggle to find a full filling relationship. But not being able to cum in a vagina? Nah, don’t care. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/11/23 10:30 PM
What do you feel not heard about? man or woman. And are you willing to listen to the other side?Well I’m a woman I don’t think any of those things. Im sorry you’re so lonely that sounds very hard. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/11/23 10:29 PM
What do you feel not heard about? man or woman. And are you willing to listen to the other side?Oh boy. I think most women know that men have higher sex drives. We’ve been told this our entire lives. Men only want one thing, etc. most women in relationships know this as well. That it leads to suffering I think isn’t something women think about much. More lack of awareness and caring than maliciousness. Most people don’t care about things that don’t affect them, especially things that they didn’t cause and can’t fix. Do you care about child labor in Bangladesh? Correct me if I’m wrong, but … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/11/23 06:19 PM
What do you feel not heard about? man or woman. And are you willing to listen to the other side?As long as you aren’t lying to them it’s all good. As a woman who dates casually, men catch feelings like whoah i think being socialized female makes it harder for me to just not care about thier feelings, but it is frustrating. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/11/23 06:06 PM
What do you feel not heard about? man or woman. And are you willing to listen to the other side? This is something that I’ve really started to appreciate. The threat to a guys reputation and thus social standing and career opportunities is real real, if one women gets the wrong idea. I do think as a society we’ve over corrected and need to give average men way more benefit of the doubt about thier intentions, the confusion from mixed cultural signals, and the damage from women making assumptions. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/11/23 06:01 PM
What do you feel not heard about? man or woman. And are you willing to listen to the other side? But that hasn’t translated economically. Who cares if more women then men have higher degrees if there is still a significant gender pay gap. The truth is the gender divide manifests later in life as people start having kids, so you get more women with student debt with less ability to pay it off because now you have to choose between working and paying for child care. It’s also easier for men to find partners willing to follow them around for thier careers, even if the women is the same level o… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/11/23 05:58 PM
What do you feel not heard about? man or woman. And are you willing to listen to the other side?Do women deny this? Or just deny that it’s something they should care about? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/11/23 05:55 PM
What do you feel not heard about? man or woman. And are you willing to listen to the other side?Because the metrics are different. Women have an easier time getting dates and sex, but when it comes to finding a compatible life partner it’s not easier for women. It can be difficult to find someone you are attracted to and compatible with, who respects you and wants an equal relationship, who wants to commit and have kids. All the first dates in the world don’t mean that finding a husband is easier. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/11/23 05:53 PM

men's dating experience is unfair and feminism has failed to address itTo expand on that. Yes it’s absolutely true that it’s easier for women to get attention, dates and sex. There is definitely difference in sexy drive and spontaneous desire. But ultimately everyone wants the same thing which is a loving life partner who is a good match. For that, men and women are on an even playing field. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/11/23 10:05 PM

men's dating experience is unfair and feminism has failed to address itIn dating, I’d say feminism has achieved equality or close to it (division of labor within LTRs is another matter). Feminism allows women to choose who she actually wants to be with instead of being forced into unhappy marriages because of culture or economic necessity. Although as I’m writing this I’m realizing that we haven’t fully achieved that but…. Women and men both have the ability to choose who they want to be thier partners. Enthusiastic consent means that both people want it. If you st… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/11/23 06:49 PM

CMV: Personal responsibility seems to go out the window as soon as a man is expected to vet women.Wanting a paternity test doesn’t mean you are always scared of being cheated on, what a leap. Put yourself in their shoes. There is always a chance someone could cheat on you. I just listened to a podcast where a woman didn’t know her father was a serial killer. You never know about people. Can you not empathize with wanting to be 100% sure the kid is yours? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/11/23 06:04 PM

CMV: Personal responsibility seems to go out the window as soon as a man is expected to vet women.First of all I’m a woman. You can vet all you want, you can think you know someone for decades, and not actually. This is not a gender thing. What world do you live in? It really seems like you just hate men. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/11/23 04:29 PM
CMV: Personal responsibility seems to go out the window as soon as a man is expected to vet women.Even if you trust someone, paternity is such a huge thing it’s completely legitimate to want to be totally sure. Men should be able to get the test without having to blow up thier relationship. What possible argument could be made otherwise? Women trust men who turn out to be abusive all the time. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/11/23 01:39 PM
CMV: Personal responsibility seems to go out the window as soon as a man is expected to vet women.I don’t know if paternity testing should be mandatory, but it should be destigmatized and offered to new fathers confidentially. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/11/23 10:57 PM

There is a active push to limit the scope of socially acceptable venues to approach a womanYes and this is a good thing. As a woman I want the places that are acceptable to approach to be limited. I mean, I enjoy eye fucking a cute guy, but in general I don’t want to be cold approached by a bunch of dudes who don’t know anything about me. The switch from old school internet dating where you could browse all the profiles and message whoever, to swiping and needing a mutual match is also good. Tells me that he’s not interested in who I am, just wants any woman. The other most often reason is that I can’t tell if I’ll be attracted to someone from the pictures. I don’t know that until we meet in person. More often than not, I’m not attracted to them, even if they are good looking. | 2 | Who told men that being nice will get them laid?Everyone everywhere of all genders tell women that men just want sex. And if you date a lot it’s easy to believe it. However I happen to think that’s a bunch of sexist garbage and that most men want what everyone wants which is love and understanding and intimacy. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/10/23 06:13 PM

Women have zero tolerance policy for even slightly socially awkward menThat is a creepy interaction that you outlined. And no, you’re beautiful let’s grab coffee isn’t going to be interpreted as I want to get to know you. It’s very much I want to fuck you and all women know this ESPECIALLY if you’re approaching in a non social environment. I mean think about it, you know nothing about this person other that you think they are fuckable. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/10/23 04:21 AM
Women have zero tolerance policy for even slightly socially awkward menI mean as they are going about their lives. You can approach respectfully in social situations. This isn’t really a complicated concept. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/10/23 10:40 PM

HOWEVER coming up to a woman and asking her out based on her looks alone is still creepy. Like, have a conversation first, damn! | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/10/23 09:35 PM |
Women have zero tolerance policy for even slightly socially awkward menThat’s right, this is the answer. Awkward confidence is awesome, much better than suave or fake. Insecurity will always be a turn off. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/10/23 08:36 PM

Women have zero tolerance policy for even slightly socially awkward menNo the alternative is to leave women the fuck alone in public. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/10/23 08:30 PM
Women have zero tolerance policy for even slightly socially awkward menAssuming this a guy she doesn’t know? It depends on the context. A bar or other social event that’s explicitly for meeting people and dating - not creepy. At a grocery store? Creepy af I want to go about my life without being reminded that I’m constantly being assessed for my fuckability. A guy who knows literally nothing about you other than that he likes your ass approaching you to tell you that is creepy. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/10/23 08:29 PM

I often hear women say "I have attractive male friends with awesome personalities, but I don't like them that way." If they're attractive, why aren't they attracted to them? There are a few possible reasons: 1) smell/pheromones: I was seeing a guy briefly who was hot and we got along great - but I hated how he smelled (not bad just not for me). I love how my current partner smells, even after working out. It’s a biochemical thing. 2)passivity/gentleness: I’m attracted to dominance. There could be a super hot guy but if he is too shy to make a move or if he’s the kind who wants to caress me gently and make slow love to me… my vagina literally slams shut. 3) assholery… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/08/23 04:53 PM

Come on now. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/07/23 03:40 PM |
Most women can’t admit that they care about looks just/nearly as much as men because they see themselves as the sophisticated and non-primitive gender as opposed to men.Look I’m really not making that value judgement. It’s true that men’s sexuality is more visual and frankly easier. I’d rather have the men’s version! And im not talking about emotional connection. Im talking about confidence and dominance and the things that women like in bed. You don’t need an emotional connection for that… but it’s not visually based is all im saying. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/06/23 01:28 AM
Most women can’t admit that they care about looks just/nearly as much as men because they see themselves as the sophisticated and non-primitive gender as opposed to men.Huh no. I don’t think women are more evolved. I just think we are different. And no, a handsome guy who sucks in bed still sucks in bed. There’s no pleasure there regardless. I guess unless you count the ego boost as pleasure which sure, but that’s not gonna get the guy another date. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/06/23 07:05 PM
Most women can’t admit that they care about looks just/nearly as much as men because they see themselves as the sophisticated and non-primitive gender as opposed to men.You don’t understand how female sexuality works. A guy being super hot doesn’t equal pleasurable sex. A guy with confidence who knows what he’s doing is much more likely to give me a good time. A super hot guy who knows what he’s doing is the best option obvi. Understand that women are looking to enjoy themselves sexually which just doesn’t have that much to do with whether or not the guy is a model. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/06/23 05:02 PM

Men are entitled to some things, they just aren't entitled to others caring.Sure. I don’t agree that because you are entitled to do something, someone else shouldn’t be upset about it. It seems like you think that someone not liking your actions means they are saying you aren’t entitled to those actions, and that is simply not the case. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/05/23 07:56 PM
Men are entitled to some things, they just aren't entitled to others caring.Oh no, I agree that you have the right to do whatever you want in your life. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/05/23 07:45 PM
Men are entitled to some things, they just aren't entitled to others caring.Haha ok I’ll try again. Basically people expressing their disgust for your behaviors and beliefs aren’t infringing on any rights or entitlements of yours. You’re argument is “I’m entitled to be an asshole” and honestly, no one is gonna disagree with that statement. What you AREN’T entitled to is any particular reaction from any person. Trying to change your mind isn’t actually taking away from your freedom to do what the fuck ever you want. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/05/23 06:44 PM

many men need to do a better job at realizing that wanting sex =/= “dating options”That’s absolutely not what I am doing. I am not a victim and I don’t hate men. | 9 | many men need to do a better job at realizing that wanting sex =/= “dating options”I’m not saying that. I’m sure those men exist. | 1 | The Friendzone is a thing because the average woman doesn't find the average guy attractive enoughIt’s not all looks tho. For me it’s the sexiness factor. Two men could look exactly the same but with different attitudes one I want to fuck and one I don’t. The guys on here REALLY overplay the importance of looks when in reality what women want is a man who turns them on, who knows how to balance anticipation with confidence, who isn’t NEEDY. Why would I want to lay there and spread my legs so the guy can use my body to get himself off? And no, being over eager to go down on me isn’t a turn on… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/04/23 04:25 PM

Financial Abortion and deadbeat dadsI was under the impression that the financial obligation was the thing that you and the OP were concerned with. Is that not true? Edited to add: banning abortion still doesn’t achieve fairness due to pregnancy | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/06/21 08:33 PM
Financial Abortion and deadbeat dadsI’m talking about how the legacy of patriarchy impacts our current society. I also don’t care about dead men. I understand your preference. What doesn’t make sense to me is why the abortion ban is your alternative. Currently, a woman gets pregnant and has the baby you’re on the hook. If you ban abortion and a women gets pregnant, you’re on the hook. So banning abortion takes away options from women, but men are in the same situation. So you’d rather take away freedoms from women in the name of f… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/06/21 08:07 PM
Financial Abortion and deadbeat dadsI see. The logic almost makes sense. The problem is you can’t get around biology. Women are the ones who get pregnant. First, abortion is not neutral - it has mental and physical effects - so allowing men to opt out if the woman doesn’t want an abortion isn’t true equality. Second, I don’t agree with your premise because I prefer to look at the world practically and throw out the just world fallacy. Yes, in one way of thinking abortion gives women more options then men because once the pregnancy… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/06/21 07:47 PM
Financial Abortion and deadbeat dadsInteresting. What’s the grave injustice here? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/06/21 07:36 PM
Financial Abortion and deadbeat dadsWell, I’m digging into the logic of an abortion ban. Why should abortions be illegal? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/06/21 07:31 PM
Financial Abortion and deadbeat dadsHuh? I don’t think that. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/06/21 07:29 PM
Financial Abortion and deadbeat dadsIs this a real thing? I’m seeing a lot of red flags with the “sort the rest out later” part. What if they decide the woman is lying? How can you even prove that? It’s also inconsistent logically. Why ban abortions but make an exception for rape? Either abortion is bad or it isn’t, right? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/06/21 07:27 PM
Financial Abortion and deadbeat dadsAre we talking about a rape exception to an abortion ban? That’s impractical on many levels. Edit for clarity: I’m specially talking about the impracticality (not to mention moral issues) with proving rape | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/06/21 07:16 PM

Financial Abortion and deadbeat dadsPIV sex always has the potential for pregnancy (except for vasectomy, tubes tied, infertility…). If a person of any gender engages in PIV sex, they are agreeing to the possibility of a pregnancy. For any gender, if there is a baby at the end of pregnancy that isn’t put up for adoption, the parents are responsible for that child. You agreed to that responsibility when you engaged in PIV sex. Abortion is up to the woman because only women get pregnant. It’s not “fair” but that’s just the way it is… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/06/21 04:47 PM
Financial Abortion and deadbeat dadsThe logic almost makes sense. The thing is, abortion isn’t neutral physically or psychologically. I don’t think we should be creating a situation where the woman has to choose between abortion or being financially fucked because that’s a different kind of coercive. I’d like to see a world where everyone takes responsibility for their reproduction. There’s so many ways to prevent pregnancy. If you’re a woman who doesn’t want a child - go on birth control, use condoms, etc If you’re a man who does… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/06/21 04:18 PM

Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few dates….. ….. Jesus Christ | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 10:31 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesSo… straight men want to date… anyone? Is that what you’re saying? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 10:12 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesMaybe I’m missing something. Can you explain the origin of the disbelief? Edit: I’m not trolling, I’m very curious. Do you not know any professional women? The idea that women with careers are rare boggles my mind. Like… what?Where do you guys live? What have your life experiences been that led you to this conclusion? I’m genuinely trying to understand your perspective. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 10:11 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesYes it is bro. A) why would you question that? It’s pretty normal. B) he claimed that no women are actually career woman. This is misogyny in big blaring letters, and im Noh one to jump to that conclusion. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 09:44 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesWhat was the “legitimate” question? Whether I’m actually a career woman even those don’t exist supposedly? No, Im not going to engage with straight up misogyny thank. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 09:38 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesThat’s sad. We need to break the gender bonds of men! | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 09:36 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesI get that. My confusion is why you’d want to date someone you can’t take at face value. If a women gets pissed you didn’t pay and there’s no second date, isn’t that dating working how it’s supposed to? You go out, find out you’re not compatible, and move on. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 08:18 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesYeah?? That’s what I thought! | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 06:42 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesSure. I dislike transactional attitudes towards dating from both genders. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 06:30 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesYeah talking to men who date women this seems to be true. I can thank being raised by a second wave feminist. Never mind the crippling perfectionism, status obsession, and workaholic toxicity…. It’s all good I’m fine really 😐 | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 06:28 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesYeah I agree with the OP that Dutch is best. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 06:19 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesI usually pay my own way unless the guy insists. If I asked him out I pay. The vetting for sexism happens at all phases of dating. I’m surprised and dismayed that so many women have the expectation of being paid for. Money is power - if I pay my own way it avoids weird entitlement and we set a precedent for a mutually respectful relationship. That being said the gender pay gap is real. My rule of thumb is that people should pay proportionally to what they make. Yes when I date guys who make less… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 06:15 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesI mean… we have to vet out the 95% of men who are sexist. So I guess join the club? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 06:04 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesI mean… maybe the women are looking for something different then what you are looking for? And that’s ok? Dating is about connection not transactions in my opinion. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 05:35 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesBackbone? This isn’t an argument? I’m curious about experiences that are outside of my own. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 05:31 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesI’ll tell you how many degrees I have if you tell me how old you are. 😋 | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 05:31 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesMaybe it is typically true. It’s not true in my bubble. Which is why I’m like wait what. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 05:29 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesHey you’re pretty hostile. I’m not questioning your experiences, but it’s pretty weird that you’re questioning mine 🤷♀️ | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 04:52 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesDo you mind if I ask how old you are? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 04:36 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesI’m curious what that looks like? Do they stare at you when the bill comes? That’s so weird to me. None of my friends are like this but we are all career women. I think I live in a bubble. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 04:24 PM
Women shouldn't expect to be paid for on the first few datesIs this true? I’m a woman who has dated A LOT in my life and usually we go Dutch or the guy absolutely insists on paying. Honestly the insist on paying ones never work out, I wonder why 🧐 I’m not negating your experiences, genuinely curious. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/06/21 04:20 PM
