OR she said I’m innocent and I’m not taking anything even though her attorneys BEGGED her to take the deal to have a shot of walking out of prison one day. Explaining over and over that the evidence was overwhelming. But she didn’t believe it would actually happen to her, that she has never had real consequences, so why would this be any different? Ask me how I know.

If your client says to you that they are a victim then ethically you can proceed with pushing that narrative- honestly even if they don’t - you’re screwed if they tell you they were never a victim. Then that’s shut down. If you have an allegation client is a victim or if client ever said anything at all then yeah, You can ask questions suggesting that’s true (though the jury is instructed to not be fooled by that) just generally find holes. Even if your client never says that specifically but yo…

That makes sense…I guess I’m being defensive because I see attorneys trying to come up with SOMETHING when there is really nothing. For example I sat through the nispey hustle trial and that attorney did a great job with zero. Absolutely nothing. Just tried to argue that it was in the heat of the moment so it was manslaughter but nip called the dude out then dude went to get fries and came back and killed him. But he got his trial and the jury found him guilty those are the tough but the worst c…

Look if client says he kicked her ass then you can suggest then in your cross or argument. Maybe there is a trail of police calls or reports? Your clients assertion is enough to try to find a way to push that narrative. Not saying it’s a winner but a defense attorney holds the state to its burden and seems like they had the evidence. She went down for it. That’s the way it’s supposed to work 🤷‍♀️

its not, hence the Guilty verdict...it amazes me how many people think that there is some magic way to get away with crimes - LIKE MURDER - by somehow coming up with some kind of argument - SHE KILLED HIM! This is how the justice system is supposed to work - She had her trial - a jury heard the evidence, the defense clearly had nothing and the offer was probably, "no offer" so the trial had to happen. End of story - that attorney held the state to its burden and clearly the state had no problems…

clearly you don't lawyer...cant just make stuff up my dude - you have some ethical obligations... as you know, the accused is presumed innocent, you can attack the sufficiency of the evidence, you dont just make stuff up...though you can suggest alternate interpretations of EVIDENCE - but sometimes, folks are just good for it...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
