I'm betting the person who said this isn't a sex worker herself. "Rape her, not me!" This sentiment is so nasty.

Men literally describe the most perfect, wonderful, happy, lovely woman and be like "right, how can I tear her down". He feels inferior to her (he is, but anyway) so he has to treat her like an object to bring her down and put her in her place. Pretty sure he hopes to ruin her confidence by letting her know she's good enough to fuck but not take seriously as a person. I hate him so so much.

Tbh I agree with incels on one thing: there is likely no such thing as a female incel, because many men would happily fuck a golf hole. They've outright said they could replace us with literal bits of plastic resembling our appearances, which says everything about how they see women. It's not sex women struggle to find, it's respect. They really can't fathom women choosing celibacy over dehumanisation.

All the anti feminist male YouTubers I watched in my teens support porn and prostitution 🥰🥰🥰 they always want women sexually available to them in some way. It says a lot that it's the one "feminist" cause that misogynistic anti feminist men also defend.

I'm criticism of casual sex because I think it benefits men more than it does women, and I'm not convinced that it isn't used as a form of self harm by some women, but it's in no way comparable to prostitution. Casual sex is still something that can done purely for the woman's pleasure. Pleasure is not something we need, we can manage without it even if we don't like it. Therefore casual sex is done out of free will and both parties want the same thing in this relationship. Both people's pleasur…

Listen to the thanks you're receiving. You helped this lady. She is thanking you for a reason, try to remember that. Focus on what you did for her and for you rather than on him. You haven't ruined his life, you've helped stop her life from being ruined because she clearly didn't want to be with someone who cheats and lies. Don't let him make you out to be the bad guy. You did a good, honest thing.

I don't like the violent video games cause violence argument simply because I think many of us probably suspect at this point that it was pushed to take the focus off gun control, at least in the US. With that said, I absolutely believe that the way things are portrayed in media affect people's perceptions of them in real life. Not necessarily as dramatic as directly causing people to go out and commit crimes, but maybe for instance decreasing empathy for victims of those crimes in real life (we…

Wasn't it also EXTREMELY biased? Not a proper experiment at all. I heard that when recruiting they specifically asked for people with an interest in prisons, and that the subjects acting as guards were directly encouraged to behave aggressively during the experiment.

Enies Lobby was when I first noticed it. The whole fight with Kalifa... And it went even more downhill ever since. It's a shame. Nami's storyline from the early episodes still makes me cry watching scenes from it, it was really powerful.

What's worst of all is when an anime you like changes and becomes more sexualised :( one piece comes to mind. Nami and Robin are good characters and I loved their character designs at the beginning of the series. Robin had a really unusual face that you don't see often in anime. And both she and Nami dressed like normal people. Tank tops, t-shirts, jeans, button up shirts. Now it's a different bikini every episode, constant fanservice, and just don't get me started on the animation. It honestly …

Ah yeah I totally agree. It just sounded a little odd saying "Asian men", because all men are bad, but the cultural environment does make certain behaviour more permissible/easier to get away with/easier to inflict. One of the reasons I went off Japanese media was because of the rampant sexualisation of underage girls. As for Korea... yeah. I had a big argument with my Korean male friend about the porn industry and I was honestly kind of shocked at some of what he said. Stuff like "men NEED sex …

Assuming this isn't totally fake, I'm disgusted at everyone here tbh. OP for bringing up something the cousin likely didn't want brought up and that isn't hers to disclose (like seriously, a lot of the women who go into porn aren't exactly mentally healthy, so I'm not going to pass judgement on them for what was probably one of the worst periods of their life), all the men for thinking they have the right to judge the cousin despite the fact that they all watch porn themselves, ESPECIALLY the br…

This. I've met some very nice men with autism. It makes them not so good at reading the room, not complete arseholes. The kind of social mistakes they make is not knowing when to stop talking, not recognising when other people are bored, perhaps making slightly inappropriate comments (my friend's dad told her mum she had childbearing hips when they met- clearly it worked because they're still married). It can include executive functioning issues, so being messy or struggling with personal groomi…

For real, the women who do make decent amounts who weren't already celebrities often have to spend all day doing stuff for their OF, probably actually more than normal working hours. It won't just be taking a few pictures and waiting for the money to roll in. It'll be having to text these scrotes constantly throughout the day to give them a "girlfriend experience", live streaming, custom pics and vids. I've seen them literally admit to this. All for their stuff to just get nicked and reposted el…

Yes I've had these exact thoughts! You are not alone. With our global population approaching 8bn as well, I've thought that it might be better to adopt if I ever want children. I remember watching a (Taiwanese?) trash film called The Country of Beauties, about an all-female island. The stinky scrotes from the all-male island want to come and live on the women's island because their island is shit, but they accuse the women of being anti-men and want them to change their customs (which are very anti male but, the audacity, it's their island). The women do not want the men there because they know that men are dangerous, and their island is constantly being attacked by ma…

Porn does the opposite of sexually empowering women. It makes women into objects to please men sexually and still focuses entirely on men's sexual desires, not women's. It doesn't seek to make sex safer, more enjoyable or less shameful for women, that's never the focus. Unless of course it's arguing that women like being choked, hit and spat on and promoting one night stands, in which case suddenly the focus is allll about what women "like". Funny that. Women's "desires" only matter if they matc…

Hm a llama or alpaca would be a better gift than a cow I think, they're quite useful and can guard other animals (chickens for instance) by scaring away foxes and things and they're taller, cuddlier and fluffier and the wool can be quite expensive.

It frustrates me when I'm told "it's their choice to do porn, it's none of YOUR business what other people do, so you can't criticise it". Yes...I can? It IS my business when porn will influence how men treat me and how I'm viewed, it is my business when I'm told I should consider getting naked if I'm strapped for cash and when this is being normalised. Without even mentioning yet that many women actually aren't in the sex industry by choice, it is still my business because I'm a woman and porn …

The delusion. Young women who actually like older men exist, but they're very rare, and it's usually down to daddy issues (I have a friend like this). I've been hit on by men in their 30s and they just look old to me as a 20 year old, plus the added anxiety of wondering about what their motives are. Shockingly enough I like guys I find attractive and who have similar interests, and that's guys my own age.

They always like to justify it as "wellll everyone does aftercare uwu even in normal sex, it's bringing your partner a glass of water afterwards and asking if they liked it, aftercare doesn't mean it was traumatising". Something tells me there's probably a big difference between the aftercare necessary in normal sex versus BDSM. These are often the same people who like to pretend that having sex with strangers for money is the same as working as a cashier so 🤷

Well, we don't spend our time on this sub calling rape victims liars, saying men shouldn't be allowed to vote, calling them intellectually inferior, referring to them as walking dildos and defending rapist celebrities. Male subs did/do all of this regarding women. It's perfectly okay, I think I may have expressed myself poorly, so I apologise too. Sorry for being snappish, I think we are on the same page. Thank you for sharing about NZ, that's honestly interesting, and it's sort of what I'd expect? When I think of decriminalisation, I generally do not think of the Nordic model, I think of full decrim. What is the difference between legalisation and decriminalisation to you then? Please explain to me. I don't ever believe in criminalising women, and I'm a bit pissed that you tried to pull that card on me. Are you pro Nordic model or pro total decriminalisation but not legalisation? If it's the former, I can actually agree with you. If it's the latter, that's what I mistrust because it just sounds like people don't want there to be any oversight of the sex industry.

Legalisation meaning the law actually regulates it somewhat and legal efforts are made to make it safer for everyone involved and ensure it's treated as real work and that they're covered by worker's rights. Libfems always push for decriminalisation which honestly sets off my alarm bells because it honestly sounds like something a pimp would say "the law shouldn't be involved in any way, it will only hurt sex wo…

Surprised I haven't seen a comment mentioning it yet, but the double cleanse skincare method, using firstly an oil to dissolve dirt and grease on the skin and then going in with a gentle soap cleanser is really effective (for me at least). Sunscreen of course. Korean sunscreens I've found are light and make better day to day sunscreens. They don't make your face super greasy or leave a white skin. Etude house or A'pieu are both good. Sex workers on Twitter are like this all the time. "You're just mad because your man would rather pay to fuck ME than do it with you". Maybe it's doubly disappointing when their man turns out to be the kind of person who would cheat AND who views women as commodities?? Like, congrats that someone's shitty husband wants to treat you like a hole instead of a person. Something that I find even more upsetting about GOT is that Emilia Clarke apparently wasn't comfortable with nude scenes but was pressured. This is the problem with nudity even on TV, even though there's nothing wrong with showing nudity in itself, it's the way it's done. Gratuitous, prolonged, done purely for eye candy, exploits the actress (it's an actress like 90% of the time which I think says a lot about why and for whom nude scenes appear).

Had a screaming fit because someone nicked his drink when he turned his back, took me a while to even understand what he was upset about because I just couldn't understand what he was saying which made him even angrier (you took it from me mate, not my fault, your job to guard it after you've got it, I've got 10 other people waiting to be served, and you seriously expect me to be able to understand what you're saying through …

Have you read Herland? It's about a hidden utopian society made up of only women who reproduce through parthenogenesis. There's an audio book available for free on YouTube!

My dad is a very strange man and we were all happier after the divorce. Very sexist, terrorised his sister, was rude to his brilliant, intelligent mother, verbally abused my mother for years, didn't understand boundaries, never helped with housework and more. We realised a few years ago that he might have undiagnosed autism but I don't really see that as excusing everything he put us through though it does explain a lot. I prefer men who are the opposite of him in nearly every way. He's tall, sk…

I blame porn tbh. Ex was Korean. A lot of Korean guys seem to have a thing for either Russian (there seem to be quite a few eastern European girls in porn) or French girls and it was quite clear that he had watched foreign porn from stuff he said to me. Stuff like he thought foreign girls love sex and would do all the stuff he wanted and that they're more open to stuff than Korean girls and he was interested in anal (there's a reason why he's ex). Guys always seem to think that women from other …

I found the artwork in question. The manager is depicted as a black woman with a sword but not actually in combat yet, her sword is resting on her shoulder, she's got her hand out in a stop motion showing that she's trying to handle the situation calmly. Karen certainly can be used in a misogynistic way, but I don't think this was it.

This! In theory females are the only sex actually required, hence why some species can reproduce through parthenogenesis. Also the Y chromosome is apparently slowly degrading (though it will take several million years) so er...

Purity culture is designed to make women men's private property, porn culture is designed to make us public property. Purity culture is about making sure a woman is always available but only to her "owner". Porn culture is about making sure ALL men have access to women's bodies ALL the time, and the fact that these actually exist side by side in our society is the worst part. It's like a cage.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
