Get an Oodie instead! It’s literally a huge, long hoodie made out of a blanket, mine hits mid calf. I’m in mine now and it’s my favourite possession. Best part is that my boyfriend bought it for me - no pressure on appearance in this house apparently haha

This woman is an absolute genius. The fact that she doesn’t even mention the toll this will take on her physically and emotionally and doesn’t ask for additional compensation for that is big of her as well. She’s only asking for lost wages and he’s still mad 😂

My ex husband did this once when were camping and the amount of pain I was in was just hilarious to him. I wish it had broken his dick.

Exactly. “How could another man do that to ME? A man who is superior over him?”

Exactly. I would also add that men who view their daughters as possessions dehumanize them as well. And the fucks who see them as ‘someones daughter’ or only as their own daughter and not as though she is her own person separate from her relationship to him, are only viewing them through the lens of them being the possession of another man.

THIS. I called my ex FIL out for this once in a restaurant. He said something about how sexual harassment and assault started to really bother him after his daughter was born and I was like “what about your wife that carried her and gave you that daughter? She didn’t fucking matter the whole time before that when you were in a relationship with her, getting her pregnant 3 times?”

Yep. I’m finally with someone I’m actually attracted to and after a divorce where I didn’t even want him kissing me, it is THE BEST. I find it very true that a good sex life translates to the rest of your relationship, and with my current partner it’s just so easy. I always want to. With my ex, every few months I would bite the bullet to ‘tide him over’ and hopefully not feel bad about avoiding him for another while. I’m never living like that ever again.

Literally one of the biggest green flags with my boyfriend is how much he loves my kitties. He’s a dog loving, whiskey drinking, metal head, yet carries my rag doll around the house and tucks him into bed 😂

I am recently divorced and friends with my ex husband. Our dynamic over time became friends/roommates and there is nothing romantic there and hasn’t been for years. There is ill will when I think about the relationship in fact. However. When he finds someone, she will come first. I will respect however much he wants to back away from me and I will back off from him first. If she wants to communicate with me, I’ll do whatever. I’m not going to be an issue in his new relationship without him makin…

I’m in the exact same job as my husband. I’ve been raped at work and gone through all the recovery and bullshit that comes after that which affected me personally and professionally by setting me back 5 years in my career. I pushed through and now I am finally at the same stage as he is. He had a meeting earlier this year where he was told that he isn’t seen moving into a certain position in the future. This overgrown child pouted for two fucking weeks about how he sees himself in that position …

Let’s also not forget that the common theme of wanting a tall man is because of the patriarchy convincing us that we should be small and frail and want a man to protect us. It’s literally an uno reverse on themselves because now for me to feel like a girl to the standard that THEY HAVE SET, that requires the man I am with to be bigger and taller than me. Sorry, I didn’t make the rules.

THIS. Like k wow nice that he did the work and now gets the credit (especially with renos) but the people praising him missed out on the screaming matches to get him off his fuckin ass to finish a project HE started and then fucked off. That I did all the planning, shopping, budgeting and prepping for. Cool. Ya. He hung sheets of drywall (poorly) he’s a saint.

Right? I can only tell them he ain’t shit so many times before I get tired of them monopolizing every single conversation crying about some fuckin man who isn’t worth 5 minutes of their time anymore

I was 20 dating a 28 year old who told me he was 25. I was in university and he owned a house and had been engaged before. Just totally different stages in life even if it was only 8 years. It was an awful, manipulative relationship because I didn’t know how to identify that. He got away with so much shit because I thought I loved him

Bingo. “Didn’t they see me standing there!?” Yeah, because your presence should be the only reason we don’t get sexually harassed. Sick, you are the problem.

Next time someone says this I’m gonna be like ‘I can’t wait to give birth to a son so that I can then learn how to respect men.’

Yeah and it’s really not even about them respecting their daughters. It’s about them feeling the other men are disrespecting THEM because their daughter, and apparently her sexuality, is his possession.

Girls like that get promoted faster. They’re ‘one of the boys.’ They think girls that are raped actually just had regret sex. I’ve heard it all a million times. ‘This base or that school isn’t as bad as people say, it’s never happened to meeee.’ Meanwhile I’m seeing it fucking happen to them, their own misogyny is just so internalized that they don’t even realize it’s wrong. Every single thing I do is scrutinized and commented on, whether that’s wearing a pair of earrings that are WITHIN regs, h…

I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that Sk8r Boi is written about a situation she went through and she is the guy in the story. I’m too high to work through whether it’s still the same amount of problematic if that’s true
