When I was 14, guys in their 20s assumed I was 18. At the time, I thought that was because I was tall and well developed, and was kinda flattered. Now as an adult, I know they "assumed" what they wanted to be true, what most benefited them, and didn't bother to check. The only way a man could have sex with a teenager and "not know" is if he is putting his dick before her wellbeing. They know exactly what they are doing, and that's why they don't ask.

I think it depends on the content of these personal things. My general rule is, if I really see it going somewhere serious I will share personal things, so 4-6 months. No reason to share anything before that, and after that it really depends on what it is you are sharing, how you feel about sharing, and what level of openness you want and need in a relationship.

Exactly. And I'll admit, it's a turn on for me to turn my guy on, but that can get dangerous in young women who are just looking to please. Men take advantage of that.

Plenty is an overstatement I'm sure, but just going by what women say in public spaces (and maybe they really don't like it). There's pressure to be a cool girl and say you like it, too. I've tried it, don't like it, won't do it again.

I saw your other comments that went into more detail, and it's definitely a pattern of bad behavior. When its a pattern, apologies mean nothing. See the apology as another offense, another lie, another disrespect. He's a fool for thinking it makes up for anything.

I know plenty of women genuinely enjoy anal, but would they have ever even thought of it without male porn brain suggesting it?? Probably not. Never harm a woman's body for a man's benefit.

Sounds like he's part of the PUA culture, or something adjacent. That's the language they use (Alpha) and relationships are mocked and not at all valued in those circles. The men are all encouraging each other to spin plates and use women, simultaneously hating them. Bullet dodged! But if your type is mature, masculine men, don't worry, they do want relationships.

I have dated men on antidepressants. You are correct that acknowledging and maintaining their mental health is very key. Antidepressants will affect everyone differently, and it also depends on the kind they are taking. It's pretty common that it kills sex drive, so that is something to consider. Like any other issue, it's not acceptable that he take his problems out on you or expect you to fix it, or excuse bad behavior with it. We all have times of less than great mental health, I don't see it…

If you have a high sex drive and place great importance on your sex life or have love language of physical affection, probably shouldn't wait. Knowing your husband can sexually satisfy you and matches with your drive is important.

One of the first school shooters was 16 year old Brenda Spencer. Male dominated crime and violence is significant as percentages. It's 99% men doing the murder and mayhem, but finding the two or ten women who do xyz isn't hard, and the sub would become a showcase of all those rare finds.

Natural blonde here, I've tried a range of other colors and lengths over the years. I get approached less as a blonde, especially when it's long. I do get more people telling other people "she's hot". Make of it what you will 🤷

I hike alone all the time and these are my safety tips. One, be prepared (bring a kit that could save you if you were injured or lost and had to stay out overnight. Two, know the land and possible risks (landslide, bears, ect) and be prepared. Three, bring protection; I take my dog always, and often a handgun (that I'm very capable with). Also a good idea to have a map and GPS tracker. There are programs that will allow someone else to view your location in case you are injured or lost. Four, te…

Humans make mistakes, it is inevitable that whoever you choose will make some at some point. Part of being a healthy, balanced person is being able to forgive. HOWEVER there are some things that, even done only once, show pervasive depravity and cannot be forgiven. Also, anything that is continual moves from mistake to habit and is not worth the trouble.

Why would body piercings inherently make anyone low value? That's straight from the Red Pill handbook, along with tattoos, short hair, dyed hair, ect. High vs Low value is a character thing. A high value woman respects herself and others. She takes responsibility for herself and her happiness, she is emotionally mature, she is compassionate, but not a push-over. She educates herself to have an informed opinion and takes her social obligations seriously (voting, volunteering, community investment…

Why is it critical to find a man to have the life you want, and why now during a pandemic? 8 years older when you are 20 is, in my book, a deal breaker. I question why he wants to be with someone that much younger. Additionally, a house that is far from clean and complaining about condoms are both red flags. For a 20 year old with years to develop as a person and build your own potential, why would you tie yourself down now with a subpar option?

Fair enough. I'm still inclined to say, lesson learned. I too have experience with narc abuse. I do wish her the best.

She knew he was a cheater who treated women badly. We do ourselves and other women no favors when we refuse to take responsibility for our choices. No, she wasn't asking for the abuse, she didn't deserve it, but she willingly went into a relationship with a cheater. That's a poor choice with predictable results. I've certainly made poor choices with predictable results myself, and owning that is part of how I've learned to be and do better.

I don't believe (nor did I say) she deserved the abuse, just that it's to be expected. If you date a drunk, expect drunkenness, if you date a cheater, expect cheating, if you date an abuser, expect abuse. Generally, these traits are hidden until it's too late, but in this case she was cheating with him before they were dating so she knew this was part of his character. Regardless, no one deserves abuse, and hopefully this is a big wake up call to protect and heal herself.

She was an adult cheating with a man who was in a relationship. I think we all know that's questionable behavior at best, regardless of our past. I call it like I see it, and it's no less than what I'd tell my sisters, whom I love dearly. I won't excuse shitty behavior in women that i wouldn't excuse for a man. Additionally, this group is for support, yes, but these kinds of things are likely best shared with a sister, mom, friend who can give you a shoulder to cry on, not strangers on the inter…

I stopped reading when you got with a guy who was in a relationship. Why does anything that happened after surprise you? You brought it down on yourself. Lesson learned. Move one, be better. Also, I question if this is the kind of content we need to see on FDS (maybe share in the chat instead). Lots of these kinds of stories lately, but I fail to see how these benefits the community.

Yes. Don't tell it with an air of shame or asking for apology or permission, but if you trust a man enough to let him into your life and bed, you should be able to tell him about a cosmetic surgery. In all likelihood he can tell something is up anyway, and it also may have health implications down the road, or if something went wrong.

Circumcision is genital mutilation, anyone who supports removing a healthy, functional body part from an infant is disgusting. There is no reason for it whatsoever and it ruins sensitivity and drys out the glans. US is one of the few countries in the world that still does it, and only because of ignorance and tradition.

I think this question comes from a misunderstanding of what high value is, but I see it in women's posts about their personal estimation of high value as well. What high value is NOT: Pretentious, conceited, snobby, classist, abelist, narrow minded, egotistical. ETA: this is not about having standards. You can have standards and still be kind, well-reasoned and even open-minded. Your value is not in your body/health. Those are both great tools to gain and express high value character, but it's n…

Sex (masturbation just doesn't do it for me), romantic love, biological fulfillment in the pleasure of being female opposite a male. Not that I need a man to be fully a woman, but part of being a heterosexual female is I'm extremely drawn to men as part of that biology, and I want certain things from them. I can live without it, but I know my life would be happier and more fulfilled with it.

I get where you're coming from. Meet too many trash men and it gets discouraging. For me, there are things a man can give me that I can't get anywhere else in life. It's pretty bleak, but I remain hopeful while I focus on other things I can control.

No one should lower standards they've decided are required for their happiness and well-being. I have however noticed in this community some arbitrary non-negotiables, and wonder where they come from. For example let's say my standard is a man has to own his house. The reasons behind this are it shows stability, his willingness to plan ahead and invest in something, his ability to maintain and care for something long-term, good money management, and so on. However, is it required that a man own …

Police culture is toxic and cop marriages have a high divorce/cheating/ abuse rate. Men who are attracted to police work tend to have a particular personality and mental + chemical makeup (very similar to criminals in fact) that makes them more aggressive, arrogant, sneaky, ect. This is a broad brush I'm painting with, I've known good men in law enforcement, but often as not they got pushed out or held down because they were not fitting in and toeing the line. Also, the job is stressful and ofte…

"I find it difficult to talk to them if I'm not attracted to them" This is straight from the male mind about women 😅 But yeah, if you want a life partner who is male, this is a problem. I suggest therapy as a required first step.

I think kinky needs to be defined for this specific context because it's a blanket term for a lot of different sex acts and ideas. Anything harmful or degrading is an absolute no. It devalues you, and shows a man to devalue you. Our brains are what we think, so doing certain acts can and will actually change how you think about something. Sex should be three things. Pleasurable, worshipful, and secure. There's plenty of room in there for exciting, fresh, and daring sex. If a man thinks you're to…

One, she needs her own accounts, and a healthy savings. Non negotiable that some part of the monthly income is hers personally. Two, take the (albeit, limited) flexibility and free time of home life to earn some new credentials or skills for her future. Some careers are easier to come back to than others, but no one who wants to return should be stagnant in the time off. Depending on how much maternity leave is given, returning to work part time when the baby is a little older might also work fo…

If a woman is taking on the task of staying home with the baby, and this is something that was agreed on by both partners, she should be getting "paid" from that shared income. She should have money that is her own. There are huge benefits to having a parent at home when the child is an infant, and even until a child goes off to school. The child bonds as it should, tends to develop better social and emotional skills, have more confidence and achieve milestones earlier. But it's a huge career sa…

Didn't even finish reading and I was already saying "oh hell no". I've dated jealous, insecure, controlling men in the past. It goes nowhere good. Any man who gets jealous of a stranger flirting with you (and you're not flirting back) is a major red flag. Add the hitting? Get out now.

My parents were young when they had me, but they didn't stop, and my youngest siblings are beautiful and intelligent. I personally know young parents who are passing on some truly unfortunate genetics. Human reproduction is complicated, and age is just one factor.

Me too! I'm a fairly closed-off person so being aloof is my norm, it takes me a long time to get close to someone. But doing that with a long term intimate partner would be exhausting. I want my husband to me my #1, and to be his. Friends and family are of course necessary for a balance, but I want my best friend to be my partner. I'd also have to question a man who would be fine with a woman who didn't trust him enough to let him in. A man who doesn't seek to know, understand, support and love …
