But then my comment about comics and video games stand. "Society" has never held still. Its not an immutable object, but something that changes in definition from place to place, person to person, and time period to time period. To casually suggest that society has broken down is to ignore the fact that we've made "society" work in some form for over 2,000 years. I think the article missed the mark actually. The real conversation here is that the paternity support system is slanted against men because of an archaic view that women provide the majority of child rearing responsibility.
