Same! My style is very vintage and it is so hard to find anything inexpensive so I am slooowly decorating. It’s also hard for it to look cohesive.

I don’t think you should change anything about it. It seems to me that is good etiquette. I’m not American so some of these things are not exactly done where I am from so not quite “regardless of culture” but I’d still assume you are following your own culture’s etiquette and admire it. However, if you do visit another country it is good to look up their etiquette.

I’ve seen horror stories of women who have children with men out of marriage so I would not be with a man who doesn’t want the commitment. I’m committing my body to bearing children and refusing a career to serve my family, my man needs to make a commitment to the family as well to provide. As another commenter said, this fear reeks of weakness and I want a strong man. I also understand the fear of a man to marriage, lots to lose, but then find a woman who you trust. If you can’t trust her enoug…
