"I like companionship but not at the expense of my own happiness." This exactly! Would I love to have sex? YES, but a majority of the time that comes with some sort of relationship or comittment, so I'm great as is!

Maybe its because im old (59) and was married for 34 years (2 years post-divorce), but i'm BLISSFULLY happy being alone. I have no desire for any relationship or frienships, and I relish just being alone. I do have two young grandaughters locally that I hangout with each weekend, but my days consist of work until 4pm, a quick home workout, then TV/PS5 with a bourbon. I love going to movies, museums, biking alone. I've just embraced my introverted nature and enjoy me.

I was married for 33 years, now divorced the past two years. I'm 59 years old, have two awesome adult children and two granddaughters. I have ZERO interest in becoming legally and financially entangled with another person ever again. Casual relationships and dating...sure, but I'm happy and content with riding off into the ether enjoying me.

She worked for a catering company. We were married for 33 years. Now she lives with her deadbeat boyfriend and will probably have to work a menial job until she dies. I will be retiring in 3 years with no debt, I'll be traveling the world. Oh the choices we make!

This! I was married for 34 years. Zero interest in ANY form of committed relationship. Any ideation of marriage again is a huge NO for me.

I was married to the woman for 33 years and its been just over a year since it ended. To quote Depeche Mode, I "enjoy the silence"! Great feeling going home after work and not have to speak or do anything I don't want to.

I was married for 33 years and I'm 59. I still want to date, but I'm adverse to any committed relationship right now. Remarriage will never happen, I'm done with that shit😄

It's been a year and a half since it ended. (married 33 years!) The peace and serenity I have now is immeasurable. I'm happier and healthier. I have dated a few times, but have no interest in a serious relationship right now, and I will never get married again. No way at my age do I want to get legally entangled with another person again!

We sold our house during our separation. Our separation agreement stipulated we would pay off all debt accumulated during our 33 year marriage before any 50/50 split. We both walked away debt free, with about 30k each. It was a win/win for us.

If I had young kids and divorced, I probably would be in a similar mindset. My kids are adults, and two years after the divorce, my ex and I are in a good place, we co-grandparent our two girls. Christmas is different now, but I still enjoy the short time we come together as family.

58, married for 33 years, divorced a year ago. I would never consider getting married again. No interest in getting that emotionally and financially entangled with another human being again. I will ride off into the sunset content with my two adult kids, my granddaughters, and just casual dating here and there.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
