Thanks for writing this out. I can confirm the leetcode part, its on point. I am at junior level so can't talk about system design interview process. At Senior you should target 350k of TC. If you arrive at this level, all good, you can now study more and target the Staff and Senior Staff positions (500k/700k). I don't agree with this. To become more senior in a role at FAANG its mostly about knowing really well your codebase and the tech you are working on. Just studying a new book will not cut…

The only thing it's proven to me is that when you're short and genetically unlucky, you're essentially worthless to the world. Only if you are not good at making money too.

What I'm saying is to anticipate plateaus and irregular spurts and stalls in growth, focusing on enjoying the process itself, This. Just enjoy the pain/process and always try to improve yourself. The results will come automatically. If you focus on comparing yourself to others or to some schedule of progress it will only demotivate you.

I have read the book "The slight Edge" and even made notes. I am starting to think that either this is a meme or it just does not work for me. All I have ever achieved is by maniacally focusing on one thing. Sometimes that thing took all of my waking hours minus the essential work. Or sometimes it took only 3 hours a day(like dieting and lifting) but it was the most important thing I did. I designed my whole life around the one thing I wanted to achieve. Only by this kind of focus I have achieve…
