You're right in regards about me putting it on a pedestal. That's something I have to break. Can't make sex the end goal. The goal isn't sex, it's control of your sex life. It's the ability to get sex when you decide you want it. Very clarifying what the end goal should be and shouldn't be.

The dependency problem by making sex the end goal I think it makes us complacent to the circumstance of our lives. We get comfortable since we reach our end goal. It's like having sex is a reboot button. We have to wait to till our system is back up and functioning properly. Sometimes there's system updates (oneitis) that make it take longer then usual to return to the proper functioning state.
