Guy’s own shallow and insecure masculinity is shining through a video where he demonizes the same. Notice how he likens men that he describes positively as “beachfront properties”, then flashes his own beachfront? He is the example of the perfect man with the perfect property. He is the best, and anyone who doesn’t conform deserves their fate. He talks about men just “stomping their feet” about loneliness. A hugely problematic and sexist worldview is that women’s problems are systemic, and men’s…

Do you have a source for the claim that most pedophiles are women? Never heard that before. But I’d bet it isn’t even that deep. The masses don’t know and don’t care that women perpetrate these crimes at high rates.

It doesn’t matter to “leftists” if it’s a man, unless he’s not white. It doesn’t matter to “conservatives” if there’s violence, unless it’s against a woman. In no popular discourse is being a man enough to garner sympathy and support.

Is that why so many physically unattractive guys have fulfilling relationships, sometimes with extremely attractive women? The coping BS is more from the lens of people who want to blame anything but their own lack of social skills for not getting laid. Pete Davidson is a classically good looking fella, is he? There are numerous studies showing that the biggest predictor of being partnered is how well you “flirt”. Get off the internet and live a little.

Not surprised that the framing of this puts the onus on men again, as though it’s simply men’s choices that lead them to participate more or less in domestic life. What are the chances that it’s actually when men get treated as more than a breadwinner, that they have better outcomes? And what about the societal pressure for men to succeed or be seen as worthless?

Certainly it’s not ok to assume consent is given, regardless of sex. Men are sexually harassed too, and neither are acceptable. The issue is one of nuance. In professional contexts, it’s likely not appropriate to engage in any type of sexual advance if we were to be strict about it. And the problem becomes clearer when power dynamics are involved. But even then, we often have workplace romances occur despite HR’s best efforts. Clearly as the original comment outlined, it’s a mixed bag concerning…

Hmm. I stand corrected about my claim about the average education then. Perhaps what I had learnt was that more women were afforded higher education, which is not the same as the idea of average education. Thanks for sharing and correcting.

For someone claiming to care about truth, you asked a pretty embarrassing rhetorical question. Women were, on average, more educated than men were (although this might not be so indicative of "privilege"), as they were expected to be well-educated, proper, and find a good man. Men, on the other hand, received less education on average and were expected to work. This lead in education for women hasn't changed, and in fact, today, 2/3 of all bachelor's degrees are awarded to women. Edit: it seems …

Women did start a lot of wars. There was an interesting study that showed female world leaders were more warmongering than male ones. The point is moot. I appreciate the logic you’ve put forth but I can’t help but wince at the suggestion that its somehow beneficial to men that “society has systematically forced women not to take part in war” whereas men were forced to go to war. I think I also fundamentally disagree that the familial role wasn’t as important, or as you say, resulted in a situation where “women arent able to contribute the same way men have...”. Feminist ideology is only interested in twisting truths to fit the theory. Men die, women most affected. Men get injured, women most affected. Men suffer, women most affected. Men have no value besides the utility they provide, women most affected. Everything is a byproduct of how women are affected, and they wonder why it’s getting less popular among both men and women.

How many suggested sexual harassment/rape policies/laws by feminists involve some degree of removal of due process, such as the kangaroo courts in college, the lowering of the bar of what is considered evidence, and the fundamental legal definition that only women can be raped and not men? What numbers? You're literally going around in circles refusing to see what's right in front of you. Does below help you? Your assertion: X=0, where X is the number of people shot if no crime was committed. The reality: X>0, as evidenced by the numerous high profile cases where it has been confirmed by even the police themselves that the victim was not guilty of any crime. Btw it is YOUR numbers that are at issue here, and the onus is on you to justify YOUR numbers. I've explained clearly why yo…

? Anecdotal evidence to disprove an absolute statement is accepted readily. You need literally 1 example to disprove an absolute statement. In this case, the absolute statement being disproved is that you have to commit a crime to be shot. Even if I only had 1 concrete example, that is proof enough. Which statement? That you don't have to commit a crime to be shot? See above. I'm not claiming it happens on a mass scale. I am saying it happens and there are clear examples.

What theory? The one where you don't have to commit a crime to be shot? Does the name Breonna Taylor mean anything to you? Or Daniel Shaver? Or do you assume just because I called out how your summary is biased, I must be convinced there is an epidemic of racist cops out there killing blacks? Because I didn't state any theory in my reply to you.

Either the police killed extra-judicially or they didn't. It should be taken as a percentage of arrests i.e. interactions with cops, not as a percentage of violent crime arrests. As I've already explained, it has become clear you don't have to commit a crime to be shot, let alone it being a violent crime. The "violent crime" perspective is a confounding variable introduced just to spin a narrative that whites are killed disproportionately, and it's as disingenuous as suggesting there is an epide…

What we've seen is that you don't have to commit a crime to be shot, let alone it being a violent crime. This summary is biased by excluding so much data, and ignores many factors, such as the fact that whites are less likely to be prosecuted and/or arrested in the first place. The likelihood of black people committing crimes is not news to me, and it's something I have been explaining on a statistical level to all the "ACAB" crowds. However, it has no bearing on justified or unjustified killing…

This is backwards feminist theory at its finest; instead of wanting to normalize society supporting men's emotions, they want to "normalize men needing emotional support". Men can cry when they are upset. Or espouse their sadness or anger or grief in any number of masculine ways. But no, they only accept when men behave like women. Their end game is for men to be just broken women, not comfortable with who they are or how they present themselves and their emotions. This is not progress.

I don't think the word gender logic stands up to scrutiny. The word for "penis" is feminine. Contrary to traditional gender ideas, the word for "service" is masculine. And let's not mention the countless words with genders that are inconsequential, like "chair" being feminine.

I'm not going to entertain the thought that we actually think women have it better in Saudi Arabia, but this specific tidbit of information isn't surprising to me. Thanks! Very interesting. I think much like how men can’t ever truly understand what it’s like to be a woman, the inverse is true. I’d like to think this is why so much sexism against men exists, rather than the much less optimistic outlook.

Such a ridiculous term to begin with. "Lived experiences"? We already have a term for that. Anecdotal evidence, or anecdotes. I'm confident the next federal election will have a conservative majority. People are getting sick and tired of Trudeau and his virtue signalling/hypocrisy while hard working Canadians with a focus on their families are being shafted by his government's ceaseless expenditure. That, and many provinces want to separate. A conservative government is the only government that would give a shit about the very real economic and security issues and stop playing identity politics.

It's not up to me to decide what they are supposed to mean. As it stands, the definition of patriarchy is more or less: a social system in which men hold primary power and predominate in roles of political leadership, moral authority, social privilege and control of property. There are many reasons I find this intrinsically disingenuous. I think one of the intentions of this definition is to preclude ways in which women benefit from the current structure of society. Fascinating that feminists blame the "fragile ego of men" when it's been shown time and time again that while men, on average, do not mind the earning power of women, women consistently, on average, reach for men with higher status and earning power. Sounds like we should really be discussing toxic behaviour exhibited by women.

It’s telling that the feminist push is for men to open up and be emotional, instead of for both men and women to be more accepting towards men and their emotions. Getting hard does not indicate consent or lack of it. Consent indicates consent. Similarly, getting hard does not indicate lack of intoxication or presence of it. Intoxication indicates intoxication. It's time we put to bed the myth that if a man gets hard, they were either not drunk, or fully consented. It's like saying a woman consented to rape because they had an involuntary orgasm.

I honestly don't think it counts double for male models. But you're right in that they will never be paid the same as women. And perhaps rightly so. As a society, we should embrace valuation by demand and ability to generate revenue. Just as male models shouldn't be arbitrarily paid as much as female models, female soccer players shouldn't be arbitrarily paid as much as male soccer players. Their pay is reflective of what they actually generate. Calling sexism in either case is a distraction.

There is a pay gap. Women's football actually provides their players a higher percentage of the total revenue generated, ~13% vs the ~7% men's football pays their players. Proportionally, women's football pays their players almost double in comparison their male counterparts.

If I'm honest, I don't view digital dating platforms as any such thing. I am in it for the company and activities as much as the other person. If sex happens, it happens. It sucks to know that some women would gladly take advantage of me though.

I’ve seen “why would women lie about something as serious as rape?” Literally makes 0 sense as an argument.

'Why would women lie?' should be met with 'Why would men rape?' It's so sexist to suggest men can't control themselves, and that women are victims when it comes to sexual contact.

Well, if a woman cheats, she has a reason to. Men cheat just because. /s If I'm being fair though, I don't think society as a whole pardons women for cheating. It's just the harshness of the treatment after that is a double standard.

Pretty sure if the dad were the cheat and the mom wanted to tell her kids, there would be less consensus here. Once again, women are afforded protection while men are disposable. I agree with the point about the kid suffering, but when the mom is lying about what happened, you really don't have a choice but to tell the truth. Don't let being the bigger person ruin your life and your relationship with your kid...

'Intimate relationship' and 'began having sex with the boy' are quite nice ways of saying 'rape' and 'raped the boy'.

Lots of studies nowadays just confirm what we already know at an intuitive level. Granted, feeling something is intuitively true does not make it the truth, but man do modern progressive types seem to turn centuries of collective knowledge and scientific advancement on their heads at the drop of a hat. It is not rocket science that in most mammals, males pursue, females select. Women have always been the gatekeepers of sex, which carries with it all the connotations it always has. Am I suggestin…

I thought this meant we should reduce the number of female valedictorians and college graduates so that men have an equal chance? And maybe give women a 'grade tax' so they don't outperform men due to systemic sexism?

Perhaps. But the status quo is a more than a bit disheartening and dystopian. Men are constantly being penalized for being male, and this has become normalized beyond belief. We have to fight fire with fire instead of brushing it off as freak radical behaviour; the rhetorics are no longer confined to just man-haters, and has leaked into mainstream media and our daily lives in North America.

It isn't Reddit that needs to do more in suppressing these ideas, it's that the media outlets need to do more in recognizing the existence of these ideas and letting the public see the extremists for who they are. We need to allow an equal voice in the limelight with regards to, for example, "toxic feminity" as opposed to only "toxic masculinity". I had hoped the term "toxic masculinity" would never have taken hold at all, but now that it has, this is our only chance at recovering any foothold a…

Didn't even feel I rocked the boat too hard. I am glad we are open to external input and rational discussion instead of just preaching to the choir in an echo chamber of hate and monopolizing morality.

This type of theoretical thought exercise without research hurts the credibility of people defending men’s rights. Let’s not be hypocrites by supporting baseless claims.
