This is stupid and a joke, but paying on first dates suck. I have no problem paying for drinks on dates after the first date, but it is normalized. 95% of first dates don't make it to the next so it's just a large waste of money. More so where I live and even more so if drinks turns into them ordering dinner. A first date can easily turn into $100. It's nice when the woman offers to split, but I'd say that only happens 30% of the time if that.
