It costs us less to keep someone in prison for life than it does to give someone the death sentence. So yes it is fair to keep someone in prison for life compared to a death sentence. The death sentence is worthless in every respect. I just had a thought about the damage the media inflicts on false rape cases. Since calling someone a rapist who is found innocent is a type of defamation, wouldn't that allow suable offence?
