She's using Fear tactics and it's working. She can get some if your income but that's it. Tell your parents they have nothing to worry about.

Maybe she's old school too? Is everything else going good or other red flags? Sex abundant?

People get older and more miserable...it happens...if you're getting in better shape and she's not maybe she'll notice or not give a fuck as well.

Stick around for the kids and start finding a new partner like she did. Nothing wrong there. Be roommates until you want to end it

Why does he have to leave? That's not the solution
/r/Divorce_Men12/01/26 07:39 PM
1

What's the solution then? All you did is say I'm not right. There is a strategic way to way to call her names
/r/Divorce_Men12/01/26 07:34 PM
2

If you don't snap back it will continue. If she calls you names you do the same. Tell her you don't want to call her names but if she calls you anything but your name she's going to get it right back. Do not put up with that shit man. If the marriage is fucked it's fucked. Don't let her stomp you for the sake of the kid.

Good point thx...so far looks like we have reset back to the roommate mode. I'll tread lightly
/r/Divorce_Men07/12/25 12:42 AM

Honestly this is true but she's the one who's bringing it up so I'm kind of checked out. But I'm 15 years of marriage she doesn't want to go to counseling. but I'll bring it up again

I'm honestly at the point of not caring too much. I don't think she'll fuck me over for alimony or child support etc. she wants custody that's for sure. That's the only miserable part. I could care less if I live like a bum but not seeing my kiddos would suck

I'll try to make an appointment Monday on my next off day. But lawyers are going to cost a ton and we are strapped for cash . Her family is loaded so I'm sure she can get $ there.

Only fans hooker has entered the chat... Hi! Do you think I'm forced to do this and make 200k annually while not when working full time? Not every situation is sex trafficking. Many of these women BALL and they BALL hard.

If she can be cold like that you need to be able to mentally do the same

Dude erase her out your memory... don't give her that benefit. Women plot this shit for a while
/r/Divorce_Men21/09/25 01:31 AM

She already knew she wanted out for a long time and was just waiting for an explosion or an argument to really do what she wanted. Time for you to do what you want and give zero care about her. Sure be neutral for the kids but when it comes to her you need to treat her like she treated you

If you have $ enjoy yourself... With four kids and if I go through with a divorce I don't think I'll be living like you but I so sincerely appreciate your post. It's refreshing.
/r/Divorce_Men04/07/25 03:59 AM
3

Do you have children now? I assume yes....so you want them to have half siblings? Remarry with a pre up is the only way
/r/Divorce_Men18/06/25 11:43 AM
7

Sexless for that amount! You should feel good about yourself for getting action... that's absurd for a marriage. And if people are pissed off for you being in a roommate situation they can go to hell.

I'm afraid to read that book but I've heard about it. Well I think that's the case He's very comfortable and you know what a lot of people think like that It's pretty normal. It's going to take some pushing your point and some misery to make change or to just get out of the situation.
/r/Divorce_Men19/03/25 01:52 PM
1

Yeah I hear you there... I hate to say this but I think what you need to do is stop being the nice guy... Put your foot down even more and make it a miserable situation. Maybe this will light the fuse and change things up. If that doesn't work at least at that point it will lessen the blow when you try to end things. I'm not saying do this for the breakup but maybe this will make things work better on his side. Otherwise if you don't want to go through that effort you have only two options keep …
/r/Divorce_Men19/03/25 01:40 PM
2

Honestly partners just get comfortable... This is the way things have been going and they get comfortable at least that's what I see in my situation. Any concerns about getting divorced and being the bread winner? Otherwise no kids.... I'd bolt personally.
/r/Divorce_Men19/03/25 01:31 PM
3

Any kids? If not.... Sounds like you need to give him an ultimatum and say that the finances need to be 50/50 control and the sex life needs to step up If not we're not compatible You're not happy etc. As someone who's in a sexless marriage I don't see that part changing. But every situation is different.
/r/Divorce_Men19/03/25 01:23 PM

Women do what other women do in a single conscious at times is my guess. It's like a seed plants because her friend did it now she's quick do go that route. Women that hang with each other get the same menstrual cycle at times. I'm no doc.
/r/Divorce_Men08/03/25 02:11 PM

I hope you have security cameras.. indoors and outdoors... She doesn't need to know about them If you get what I'm going with this

They say death is the most stressful event and divorce is second.

Porn has saved me in a dead sexless marriage. Good for you for taking care of yourself. I don't believe what she says she's just trying to put the blame on you.

Dome 😂 great to hear this story
/r/Divorce_Men19/12/24 07:09 PM
2

That's terrible that she lied to you. She clearly had feelings for woman and does this shady act. Don't stand down and let groups and voiced quiet you. She's a despicable liar. If I had feelings for both genders and hid it it's just not fair.
/r/Divorce_Men18/12/24 03:14 AM
1

True
/r/Divorce_Men18/12/24 02:12 AM
2

Right on.... Just want to avoid the situation altogether for the kids sake but need to be fully prepared on if it officially happens meaning I get served papers or something like that. Not going to be cut off guard.
/r/Divorce_Men17/12/24 02:55 PM
1

Have a consult this Wednesday but now I'm scared as hell to hear of the fees they might charge
/r/Divorce_Men17/12/24 05:19 AM
2

Thx will do...I just want things to be normal but if if it's divorce I just wanna fair one. I don't want to see the kids 20% of the time because I got screwed in Court. Goddamn I'm tearing up just thinking of worst case scenarios.
/r/Divorce_Men17/12/24 05:17 AM
1

Certainly! Ask you when she mentioned it last year that's what my gut was saying. But this time around I'm not sure. It doesn't add up because now she said she wants to try marriage counseling. I did mention this to her that if she had someone else's mind to go ahead and pursue and do what she needed to do it wouldn't bother me. She said she would never bring someone else around the kids. Not like I believe her words.
/r/Divorce_Men17/12/24 05:15 AM
3

Now she's saying she wants to try marriage counselor.
/r/Divorce_Men17/12/24 03:22 AM
2

Yeah this is very concerning because now she's saying why don't we try marriage counseling which we never have ... I thought recording someone without their consent wouldn't be liable in court?
/r/Divorce_Men16/12/24 10:17 PM
2

Holy cow it's that much money with lawyers? I'll speak to one soon.
/r/Divorce_Men16/12/24 09:45 PM

What do you mean?
/r/Divorce_Men16/12/24 09:26 PM
1

Christ now she mentions marriage counseling...this is getting nuts
/r/Divorce_Men16/12/24 07:30 PM
3

She gave the four kids a guilt trip last night which I thought was unreal She kept saying you guys want Mommy to leave I'll leave by tomorrow and they all started crying of course.
/r/Divorce_Men16/12/24 04:59 PM
3

Now I've been the stay at home parent... Thanks I'll check out the link
/r/Divorce_Men16/12/24 04:49 PM

Open marriages typically end in divorce same with with swingers Erase her out your memory and look ahead
/r/Divorce_Men12/12/24 12:25 PM
9

She should be dead to you after that selfish request.
/r/Divorce_Men12/12/24 05:54 AM
1

Yeah I get it some cases seem pretty bad because usually it's the mother who stays at home while the dad is a breadwinner and the mother gives up her career etc so in that case I do agree that the women should be entitled to half. But you'll see a shift because there are a lot more working women now and they're making more money and they're the breadwinners in the household. If you don't see a shift then yeah that is very unfair
/r/Divorce_Men09/12/24 07:07 PM
2

Would it be the same if it was the female working and the man not?
/r/Divorce_Men09/12/24 05:04 AM
3

Talk bang and move on.
/r/Divorce_Men14/11/24 05:27 AM
2

I see thanks for that
/r/Divorce_Men19/10/24 06:10 PM
6

That's my concern is why would she get the house? What happened in your case?
/r/Divorce_Men19/10/24 05:09 PM
2

Truly a terrible thing. What if the roles were reversed where as she was the bread winner? Just asking in general not of your situation
/r/Divorce_Men19/10/24 03:22 PM
2

Sounds like one you need a hit and run. But drive slow homie

Remember she was posting because she belongs to the street. I don't have it either my wife is always on that shit. But post about her cooking and the kids and stuff. I'm sure there are down to Earth chicks who don't do it.

I don't know I guess what's wrong with my mentality but I'm at the point where I just don't care if it happens it happens and if I even have to go live with my parents I'll go f****** do that I'll start over as a bum
/r/Divorce_Men20/09/24 04:02 PM

What I've learned from the sub is that everyone's situation and especially everyone's marriage is very very situational and unique. Just because one person says oh you should leave them don't raise your kid in a toxic environment again that's situational What does toxic mean What is exactly going on etc So you need to weigh out the pros and cons of your situation and see if you both can sustain a reasonable relationship to raise the baby girl.

I don't have a prenup and can hardly find a job at the moment. I don't know what else to do in terms of an exit plan
/r/Divorce_Men20/09/24 02:29 AM

That's fuckin sweet. Mine is a roommate situation. In it for the kiddos. Not sure what direction it will go.

What do you propose for him to do You're just complaining without a solution. This man is clearly suffered for 28 years
/r/Divorce_Men25/08/24 11:23 PM

Why in the world did you buy a house with this woman when you were planning on leaving last year? You need to learn to be cold-hearted and tell her the truth and just leave it's your life not hers move on.
/r/Divorce_Men25/08/24 08:46 PM

A prenup would have saved him...best to spread the word
/r/Divorce_Men15/08/24 06:00 PM

Reality is they never met! Maybe she had bad breathe? Jk. Tell him it's a big difference when you live with versus this online fairy world. Unless he plans on marrying her online and living that way!

How old are the kids?
/r/Divorce_Men11/07/24 03:18 PM

She can only brainwash them for so long and sooner or later they'll realize she was the evil one putting a rift between you and the kids. Be on standby and welcome the kids back with open arms. But if you leave you'll feed into her agenda which is exactly what she wants.

In the past 5 years my wife bought up divorce twice... first time she said I said don't tell me get a lawyer to get the papers and let's do it. She was bluffing or whatever. 4 months ago she seemed very serious about it. I think it was a strong bluff but she wanted to sit the older kids down and tell them. Bitch move. All of this was done via text. I pleaded this is terrible and not to do it. Not begging but she agreed. Things are better probably had sex 2 times in the past 6 months which sucks.…

Good warning... always get them on the phone. Any hesitation you know it's a fake ass hooker.

Doable! You'll eventually weed out the ones who want a relationship but that's about it. Not as large a pool of candidates but you get peace of mind.

I'd envision that I would only see them at events such as graduations or potentially birthday parties sports events etc other than that no contact.

Yeah at my age my main focus is the financial turmoil that will happen after divorce I know I can pick up plenty of women no issue there and I definitely will not get married well I should not say definitely right who the hell knows. But at your age it seems like everyone is settling down but trust me there are still a lot of women who are very career driven and don't have time to meet someone and they're around your age still looking so you're good man
/r/Divorce_Men20/03/24 01:28 PM
1

How old are you? Any kids? I just had serious divorce discussions about a week ago or so with my wife but we're trying to work things out. I would be in your same boat. I'm in my forties so I would target women around my age or in a similar boat. A divorced woman is someone to target but yeah how do you find those?

From what I hear there are a lot of scammers and bots on those apps. And women in general get bombarded with messages so I don't think you'll get much luck there. Best bet is to get out there and try to meet some. You're doing everything correctly You got to take your time and get your mind right and then let things fall into place. Hit the gym get buffer get healthy and the sweetness of poonani will come to you

I keep hearing this but the we split of finances is something I couldn't be happy about. I just can't see past the finances since I haven't worked in 7 months(unemployment ended). Shit is in the toilet right now.

I had a toxic ex-girlfriend like this and when my uncle passed away I told her I felt sad and this and that and all of a sudden she's picking a fight with me and I even asked for my how are you going to fight with me when I told you my uncle just passed away and I'm kind of sad right now and she's still fought with me. Wasted 5 years with that woman.
/r/Divorce_Men15/03/24 04:44 PM

All I saw was that she's the breadwinner and cheated.....child support and spousal support. But then again I'm not a surgeon so I would have went that route.
