Well yes, I am aware. And that's why I don't care as much. I know what's happening. But unless my daughter comes up to me and says "dad, I'm sexually active," as far as I'm concerned, she isn't. And how are they sidestepping the issue to prevent the best care for their patients?

Well, no, because that's doctor patient confidentiality. And if my daughter is sexually active, it's her business. Not mine. She's old enough to be responsible and any actions she may do are her own choice, not mine

If the argument is price, then you are right, it is cheaper if its not prescribed as a contraceptive. But it's still the same pill. I wasn't arguing cost (or atleast, I wasn't trying to)

But they're the same pill. That's the thing. My sister got birth control pills for her acne. They are literally the same thing, just different intended uses

But that's during sex. Birth control pills are also useful for regulating periods and making them lighter and less painful, some cancer risks are reduced, and it can help with acne. So they aren't used exclusively for sex like condoms are. And yes, they prevent STDs, but that's only during sex. If they had other benefits besides preventing STDs, and minimizing pregnancy, you bet I'd have a condom on 24/7. But seeing as they're not an every day thing, I'm fine with buying those 24 packs for $20 (…

Condoms are used for sex only. That's why. Birth control pills can be also used to regulate period cycles among other things.
