Yeah, those people perpetuate ideals of toxic masculinity, therefore they are pushing the negative influence of a patriarchal society. You’re right- women do it too, but just being a woman does not mean you can’t participate in advancing the expectations of toxic masculinity

In 5th grade, I was bullied all the time by boys. Why? For “not being manly enough.” This was code for “you have emotions, and we don’t like that.” This is how today’s men are being raised. This is quite literally a problem caused by the patriarchy.

Men are far more often branded as heroes for sleeping around. I think people should neither be shamed nor praised. I absolutely hate the argument of “If the roles were reversed…” because nobody ever bothers to look at scenarios where the roles are actually reversed to prove a point.

I don’t know if height preferences are really as bad as people claim. I’ve never heard of anyone only being able to stomach dating someone over 6’. I think it’s a manufactured oppression for men to feel like they also face lots of body shaming. While men can and do get body shamed and feel self-conscious, the height thing just doesn’t seem like a real thing.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
