What I find most hilarious is that to my knowledge their reasoning boils down to: "national security is just an exception".

Thank you for saying it like this. I describe it similarly as an apex sampling fallacy. It takes only the top of the distribution and from there generalizes to the entire population. As a scientific and statistical practice that is so obviously wrong it's amazing this sort of argument is still so popular.

What are you talking about. Evolution as a whole IS one of the most successful theories in science. Race realism was rejected by evolutionary biologists, then and now. Who cares if online grifters abuse its name? And the discipline never claimed that women are cognitively less capable, so the fact that this is false doesn't disprove anything! Also sexual selection was already talked about by Darwin, since the theory's inception! For christ's sake stop spouting nonsense! You know nothing on this …

I hate to be so dismissive, but this lack of care for the correctness of your claims is simply insulting. Before you dismiss one of the most successful theories in scientific history as either hateful or wrong, you should at least familiarize yourself with what it actually says, and not just with what internet people (who also don't know it) use it for. Even your understanding of the most basic facts of genetics is terrible.

I see why you say this, but I'm afraid your idea of evo bio is riddled with misconceptions. The most important is that while I like you see the appeal of contradicting feminists with their own weapons so to speak, this kind of reasoning is inappropriate for deciding which scientific theory is the better one. As for this discipline being an unnecessary addition. While it's true that the "blank slate" theory can in principle predict any kind of behavior, this vagueness is also its biggest weakness…

Yes. The topic overall that you are touching upon is discussed under the umbrella of parental investment theory. But the kind of meta concerns you have are usually discussed in books. Some good ones are the handbook of evolutionary psychology, "Human Sperm competition", "Homicide: Foundations of Human Behavior." You will notice they are very careful in their claims and specifically distance themselves from biological determinism. The book on homicide I mentioned talks about this in their intro o…

I am someone who has read extensively in the literature of evolutionary biology. You would be surprised but the literature actually aknowledges these kinds of concerns and in fact points them out continuously to avoid confusion. But to answer your question: I don't think it would be wise to ever dismiss its findings. If we admit that the we can figure out that the heart was designed by evolution to pump blood it would be silly to assume the psyche of humans was not shaped by it. Naturally if we …

Interesting article. I agree that this is very one sided. If I had to offer some feedback it would be that the style is a bit too informal and that there are some typos. For example you once abbreviate maternal mortality ratio as MRR and in your table about Costa Rica the dimensions don't match correctly. These little details make it unnecessarily harder to take it seriously, which is a shame given that you are pointing out a real issue.

It's very funny to go to that video OP linked about how to date men if you also hate men. The guy is somewhat trying to be nuanced by saying that this attitude can lead to a self-fulfilling prophecy. The women in the comments are absolutely hating him for it. "Self-fulfilling prophecy? That's just victim-blaming! It's the men that need to do better!" I'm not even exaggerating. That is literally what they all say.

It's not about the severity, it's about the symbolism. But in a sense you're right.

Next they'll want to put men who commit crimes against women in gas chambers.

Let's hope for the best. Even though I am not Italian, this would set a dangerous president for the other European countries.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
