I personally don't like to sleep in pants so I'd probably do something like these, maybe a set that has shorts that are a bit longer. VS was just the first store that popped into my head. https://www.victoriassecret.com/sleepwear/pj-sets/boxie-pj-body-by-victoria?ProductID=333997&CatalogueType=OLS

Exercising lowers stress, causes me to drink more water, and subsequently helps clear my skin (ymmv). I would focus on what you can do right now aka exercise and continue moving forward with your dermatologist.

If you can swing the cost or find a deal, a large (very comfy) recliner is awesome. My father loved his when I was growing up. We all knew that was "his chair"

I would say you can work through cheating based on the circumstance. But the fact that he cheated, but didn't use a condom then promptly had sex with you exposing you and the baby to STDs is unforgivable in my opinion. It's a complete betrayal of you and your child. How could you ever trust him again?

I've been in a LDR with my fiance for over two years now with a short (only see every couple weeks) ldr for the 6 months preceding that. The best way to deal with missing him is to make sure you can video call. It makes sooo much of a difference seeing their face as opposed to just talking on the phone. Also, have visits planned in advance. Having an exact day when you see each other next helps a lot. Also, I know you posted a similar topic about two weeks ago. Maybe you were hoping for a differ…

The only times I made a first move, it never worked out. Whenever I let the guy make the first active steps, it turned out well. There's a quote from He's Just Not That Into You that I've found to be true, and have found success when applying it to dating life. "When a guy wants to date you, he will make it happen" I have a couple girlfriends that even though their current boyfriends were more shy or passive, they still actively pursued the girls despite that not always being their MO.

There are no perfect partners or perfect couples. There will always be someone out there who may be more compatible with you in different ways than you're currently experiencing, but there's also many who may not be as compatible. The biggest indicator of relationship success is not how compatible you are (though that helps) but how you both deal with your incompatibility. How do you both deal with disagreements? How do you have arguments? How do you approach problems and solutions?

This was an awesome read and a great narrative of what a relationship should look like! Could you expound more on the disagreeing aspects of a red pill relationship, e.g. how you have arguments, making decisions, etc?

My SO and I have been long distance for 2 1/2 years already. It's very tough, but the time passes regardless. I read your other post for more background and since he's in "school" I used to do care packages to send since my SO was in "school military training" so he had long days that included class and practicals. You could put together a box that has different cards he can open depending on mood, tea packets or coffee k-cups, 5 hour energy if he's into that, protein bars, a stress ball etc. If…

Why did you even post on this sub if you weren't going to take any of the advice? Separation under one roof will not work. How horrible for your children. Even if they don't fully understand what's happening children easily pick up on the emotions around them. You should leave him completely.

There are plenty of ways to get around mismatched libido. If you'd think he'd be down for it, there's nothing wrong with using toys on yourself and he could just be there for the ride (kiss/watch/touch w/e he wants) you don't always have to have the man to get it up to still end up satisfied especially if he is making the most of the times when he is ready to get into it. From the way you talk about him, I think you'd guys might be a good match especially if he's willing to do work arounds if ne…

I can't believe you've been doing this for so long. Infidelity is rarely pardonable. Knowable and chronic infidelity is unforgivable. This relationship is doomed. He is quite happy to have two women at his Beck and call. You will never be improved enough for him because he likes to have two women. I bet he has a similar understanding with the other woman.

I agree with SylviaToday. In marriage my only deal breakers are abuse, chronic adultery, and continued substance abuse. Everything else should be compromised on. The way my FH and I have disagreements is we discuss the topic calmly. We each state our sides "I" statements, we don't use hateful language or accusations and if we can't agree we just drop it (if it's just a theoretical). If it's actually something we have to make a decision on, we'll go back and forth on the pros and cons of each sid…

is it wrong to judge someone on their future RMV than current? I know we have all had hardships in our lives at one point or another It's only wrong if that's all your basing your decision off of. There's a difference between having a lot of potential but not being able to do much "because of hardships" versus having a lot of potential and busting their butt to make it work even though the circumstances aren't great. You said his new job isn't working out? Is he applying to new jobs daily? Polis…

He kinda ignored me when I tried to explain this, and when I explained that the other student missed it too, which is why I feel like I'm being singled out. I think he's trying to teach you a valuable lesson here even though the delivery is poor. Just because it didn't cost anything this time doesn't mean it won't in the future. He's trying to prevent the same mistake happening again only next time it could be with something expensive. Additionally, I think the other point he's trying to teach i…

God have some effing self-respect. No RP man I know would even entertain to put up with this shit. You're acting like a cuck. Your gf was actively pursuing someone (didn't even hide it) and when he found out she had a bf he rejected her because he's smart. (No decent girl does that in a relationship). She's doubling down on putting effort into your relationship because she was rejected by the other dude and is now afraid that you'll leave her for this. Just break up with her.

*not recommended on this sub. This is due to the saying "why buy the cow, when you get the milk for free". It can also lead to an indefinite ltr instead of commitment in a timely fashion. Also, marriages that go from living together to getting married because that's the logical course of the relationship as opposed to making a defined decision to get married have an increased risk of divorce. Edit: not saying that those who live together before marriage are destined to divorce. This is more for …

I know it's tough, hun. Hugs but, hopefully you can think about some things you're excited about to get you more accepting of the situation? Here's a couple off the top of my head that may or may not apply: -cuddles every night -the ability to make him his favorite food whenever you want -moving your relationship forward together -movie nights on the big ugly couch with takeaway -you could throw a house warming party!

This is just my experience, but maybe you're going after the wrong men? I have a degree in biomedical engineering. Usually when I tell people this they looked either shocked or impressed because I'm very traditionally feminine in appearance/speech. When I was dating, I would look for guys that would appreciate my education but have a different skillset than mine. Since, I'm well-versed in hard sciences, I would usually date people in the business school since they had a different area of experti…

Tough love time--You're saying you don't care about these things but you actually do. I.e. they're all dark brown, too big, ugly etc. You're being passive in hopes that you don't get invested and if you drag your feet enough then maybe it won't actually be "your home". It's time to wake up. You decided to move in with him under pressure and that was your decision. Now you're acting like a petulant child who didn't get her way so you're refusing to do any of the mental work in preparing (picking …

I learned about hyaluronic acid from /r/skincareaddiction and it has seriously helped my skin like crazy. It helps with keeping your skin hydrated (don't make the mistake of using it on a dry face, you need to apply it when your face is damp!). The whole point is that the solution can hold up to 100 x it's weight in water and when applied underneath a hydrating moisturizer it is awesome. My skin looks so fresh/plump and is now really soft to the touch. It's also evened out my skin tone so I don'…

I recommend reading when food is Love by geneen Roth. It's a great read and touches on vulnerabilities and how food is often used as a coping mechanism. Very easy read, I finished it in an afternoon. I'd also recommend a therapist. If you've always been sort of closed off due to childhood experiences you definitely need a professional who can help you work through that. That's a very difficult thing to try and work through yourself.

Though I think the sentiment of your call to action (respect your men, love your women) is good. I disagree with your logic and arguments. I think you are over-simplifying your definition of love to fit your message. The Greeks had four words to define love: agape, eros, philia, and storge or in simple terms: charity, passion, friendship ("brotherly love"), affection (due to family ties or identity i.e. love for your country). Your definition neglects agape love and wrongly attributes storge lov…

No problem! That sounds like a good course of action to me. You sound like a responsible young woman! Just reiterating that it's okay to go at your own pace. If you want to wait that is okay. If you decide that you're prepared and comfortable with the next step, that's your decision and still just as valid as waiting. Just don't let your peers, or your boyfriend or even us dictate what you feel is best for you. Sex is very personal and differs for everyone and you know yourself best! As an anecd…

This is just my opinion but I think 17 is too young to start having sex. You're still learning and developing. Not to mention that dealing with the extra hormones from sex at your age will make you feel extra crazy on top of your hormonal mood swings. Sex can also blind you to red flags in relationships and make you feel bonded to your partner so you would potentially stick it out longer even if you shouldn't. I bring up that last point because even though you both have been together three years…

The best advice I can give going into my own marriage soon is to go to some pre-marriage counseling. If you're both the same religion, a spiritual advisor is great. If you're both secular, there are different options out there. Look for someone that facilitates and uses prepare & enrich which is a couple's assessment. It really helped highlight our strengths and weaknesses as a couple showing us the areas we can improve. If you don't have the resources to do that, here's a list of questions my f…

I'm glad. I think that was a good choice. I hope he is willing to talk to a therapist with you and that this works out. Edit: also, please remember, that you don't deserve this treatment and that his new ideology does not mean you have to follow. Don't set yourself on fire to keep him warm. The most important aspect of a red pill marriage dynamic is trust and he has effectively destroyed it.

Most men on the trp forum are not married and are mostly there to get help with spinning plates/being successful outside of relationships. They think being married is for suckers. It's not a healthy view to marriage or a long-term relationship. From your post, I immediately thought of the term spousal rape. I've been assaulted and I can't begin to understand the feelings you must be going through right now to feel so violated by someone you trust. I agree with MostlyTroubled about the therapist.…

The first thing, was that I had to recognize it was a problem. This happened when I realized I was resistant to socializing because I wanted to game and I was constantly thinking about the game even when I was not playing it. Then I shocked my system by quitting cold turkey. After about three days the desire to play diminished and it was easier after that. I uninstalled everything when I went to University since I knew that would interfere so there was about a 4 1/2 year period where I didn't pl…

I'm going to go against the grain here from other posters. Their comments read like they don't actually have personal experience with video games themselves. I have been addicted to video games before so I understand their draw and also how they trap people. So reading through this, your boyfriend's behavior is concerning to me. A one off couple of times of playing all day because he got a new game is not a big deal, BUT if he's been routinely just playing games non stop in his free time as you …

If you can't think of a single character fault, then your shortcomings probably include an inability to self-reflect and a lack of humility. Both of which will make it difficult if you wish to self-improve. For example some of my faults include, being prone to letting my mood swings affect my words and actions, being chronically late, and being easily overwhelmed by stress. A way I try to improve is limit my sugar intake (stabilizes my mood), always start getting ready to leave an hour before I …

Ooh I love this! One of my goals for this month is to lose 3 pounds (a little over 1/2 pound a week). I'm at the point where I cannot lose quickly or I'll lose my sanity lol. My other goal is to have non-zero days meaning every day I do one pomodoro of something I'm feeling resistant to e.g. practicing my Spanish, last minute wedding stuff, that closet that still needs to be cleaned, etc. I'm tracking through Google sheets and I got a head start in July and still going strong!

Also, what's up with so many women referring to their boyfriend's as "captains"? Why and how does that make sense? (serious question). Captains are in charge and run the ship (the ship being a metaphor of the majority of your life). I don't see why so many women here feel the need to give up so much of their sovereignty to a man that hasn't fully committed to them... I don't see how any man gets to be a "captain" without proving that he actually is one via commitment. I guess the best way to ask…

He always uses pet names, but the one time I told him I also love hearing him say my name (instead of the generic 'babe'). He started to use my first name a lot more. He also always walks on the outside of the sidewalk. He'll always open doors for me and if I'm carrying something heavy, he'll take it from me to carry without me asking <3

If you're not engaged, I would not move in with him (especially not with a roommate) even if you were engaged I wouldn't unless a date was set and deposits made. Basically, this gives him everything in this situation. He gets all the benefits of having a 'wife' without the commitment. Have you both talked about marriage at all? Is that a goal of yours? If not, then go ahead. You could potentially land yourself into an indefinite ltr this way.

Sure! The 100/0 Principle is a book by Al Ritter. I recommend it as it's very short only 1 hour and 20 minutes as an audiobook which is how I "read" it. It's a theory on how to approach your relationships(including familial and friends) in a way that will make you happier and increase their quality. The basic premise is that you should approach all your relationships as your full responsibility (100) without having any expectations of the other person (0) as opposed to the common belief that bot…

Even if this were to work ( I understand there is some frustration in finding women that share your ideals), how are the women supposed to properly vet you through an anonymous forum, even if that progresses to video chat, it will most certainly be long distance for the most part and there isn't a very good way to vet. People can say anything they want, but it's actions that speak louder. So personal ads to women over reddit wouldn't be a good thing for the women. Again showing that though it mi…

Thank you!! I've been thinking about posting a meta post about this for awhile as I mostly lurk, but I've seen this trend a lot in the last couple weeks. A woman will ask for advice, a man will comment what he thinks the woman should do based off a man's experience (sometimes helpful), and then if a woman disagrees with his advice, she has a horde of men disagreeing with her comment below her. This is a place for women! If I wanted to read comments telling women to shut up or that they're b"tche…

I think my favorite part is how simple this boils down to. By making my fiance's life as pleasant and homey as possible while also making myself desirable as possible = lots of affection and love from my partner = me being happy = me wanting to make my partner's life as easy as possible. I can just do the things that come natural to me and I don't mind doing i.e. taking care of him and he's always so appreciative. he doesn't do anything wrong This is the bare minimum of being a good partner in a relationship. You both should be doing good things for each other. Also, I am not sure what exactly 'treating me like a queen' would mean... What is an example of a good treatment by a Captain? A couple of the dresses had more conservative tops so therefore showing a little more leg is alright. I'm not suggesting she wear a short mini skirt. Knee length or a couple inches above is perfectly acceptable especially if she is younger. Also, thank you for your concern. I know that how we dress affects others opinions of us. However, style standards do differ based on a woman's age. If OP is younger, her style will be different than that of a more mature woman.

I'm just starting to apply the principles myself (though I realized I typically followed these without realizing in the past), so if I'm coming off wrong someone let me know! It really depends on what the date is. Do you have something in mind? I usually tend to go for soft, feminine looks during day time dates i.e. florals, pastels, flowy dresses or flowy tops with nice jeans. For night-time dates, if it's just a drink, ill wear dark wash jeans with usually a dark red top that is just a bit suggestive and heels. A fancy dinner date, I'll usually go for a blouse and pencil skirt. Of course all of these really depends on how casual the setting is. Examples-- Daytime: …
