I’m not OP but I deeply appreciate your sharing this. I am absolutely the same with needing the house to be under control before I can start to relax on any level. Doesn’t matter if it’s sex or just sitting on the couch for a show we both enjoy and make time for to watch together. It’s taken me a long time to uncover this comes from growing up in a home where you paid in blood if your chores & homework weren’t done before you went out with friends. Congratulations! You’ve gotten solid advice this far. The only thing I would add is to look up Dr. Meg Meeker she is a fantastic resource - she has books, audiobooks and a podcast. Just remember more is caught than taught!

I have no motivation advice for you. Just wanted to comment because I have felt and sometimes still do feel stuck in the same spot, in a way. I think I’ve been on a diet in one form or fashion every day since I was about eleven years old. Sad but true. What works for me is a lower carb / higher protein diet and weight training.
