An argument could be made that NSA sex with women still involves some small amount of emotional connection, there's conversation and connection happening at bars/clubs/etc. And girls aren't usually going to voluntarily go home with somebody that they feel no connection to. It's not like hopping on Grindr, swapping nudes and going to town, which men are fully capable of doing and enjoying.

Im not who you're replying to but I think sex can be one of the strongest expressions of love and desire and intimacy between two people. (Two people on a ONS are not suddenly deeply in love of course). I think sex is a necessary component of romantic love and I think it's no surprise at all that levels of sexual intimacy in a relationship work as a pretty good measuring stick for the state of that relationship.
