I just thought you should know, though it may be aside from your main point, that 10% is a noted overestimate forwarded frequently by the mens rights community. The Globe and Mail piece cited here just states the 10% figure over and over, and backs it up only with hearsay and strident activist statements. Citations indicated below are in the references section in the Wikipedia article on misattributed paternity. The rate of non-paternity is commonly quoted to be around 10%.[2][3][4] However, a 2…

I think this sub may have inadvertently uncovered the worst debater on the internet.

Grand Theft Auto has been a top seller in video gaming for a couple decades now. Do the people who buy and play year after year secretly want to do - really do that with their lives?

I was just thinking that the most hardline RP-ers will skew young.

I basically agree with both you and /u/nope_nic_tesla on this. The argument was forwarded upthread that he wasn't displaying any successful RP traits - which is partly true, he was a 22 year old virgin. Still, he was doing all the RP "self improvement" stuff to try to get laid. Things PUA/RP all encourage lonely "incel" guys to do - work out, acquire money and good clothes and was get an education. He'd clearly had some exposure to elements of the philosophy if not the whole package. He had othe…

Are you as disappointed as that guy was? He wrote in his manifesto that he once cried in a bathroom for an hour from disappointment and loneliness because he said "hello" to a stranger he passed on campus and she didn't say anything back.

It's the painting that's bothering you? That's a famous Italian renaissance piece by Artemesia Gentileschi, and it depicts a scene from the bible. Just a thing to know...

I like Dan Savage's Rules for cheating. By and large, no - cheating is not okay. It's deceptive and it tends to indicate that the cheater is selfish, or they're being overly avoidant of possible remedies to the situation they are just too lazy or disinclined to take. However there are situations in life where cheating is the least worst option - and in the situations he lays out I can see the "cheater" getting a basic ethical pass as long as they are discreet and use commonsense safe sex practic…

I'm considered crazy Fempire /r/shitredditsays is a humorless, tedious place. I actually find those qualities in your post here and in the comments you're referencing, to be honest, which is why you got downvoted by bluepillers, who prefer to use their subreddit as a snarky refuge from the surreal, all-out crazymaking of RP. SRS folks tend to take themselves way seriously and get so anxious about the number of internet points associated with their posts, and the ones they disagree with. That's e…

Well, the article here it says it's a rare procedure, and that the surgery is actually most often performed in Muslim communities (underscoring my point that it's mainly a religious association of chastity equalling virtue). If virginity were uniformly or even frequently demanded by men in China or elsewhere from their brides, wouldn't it be more common? This is probably outside the scope of your interest, but it makes me pretty sad that in certain cases, according to the article, these women ha…

Shenanigans. This study pertains to adolescents and rape. Not surprisingly, the study concludes that 'unwanted sexual debut' before age 16 indicates a higher rate of marital dissolution later in life. The results suggest that the timing and context of adolescent sexual debut have important implications for marital stability. It seems pretty understandable to me that a sexual trauma like this would have a negative impact on the victim's future relationships.

I pretty much agree with your points about RP resentment regarding female "choice". And I think the AWALT doctrine is where RP philosophy really shits the bed. However, I also think RP theory falters on its overreliance of an incomplete picture regarding sexuality in the animal world. Also, if you were to look at males and females in the animal kingdom, the dynamic is "male tries to persuade the female to sleep with him, female tries to decide if he's good enough". You can see this dynamic play …

I've never heard of a girl being called a loser for being a virgin. Oh, I have! And even if nobody's actually calling you a loser out loud, you may feel the sting of other-ness, ostracism, or experience severe self-doubt and loneliness as a woman, just as a man would.

There's a rather prevalent fixation on female virginity in regions where the Abrahamic religions are/have been prevalent, but as tides of religious fervor wax and wane, so too does the virgin fixation.

shit Maybe it's just part of the RP/BP mindset divide speaking, but I don't find either of those anywhere near as troubling.

/r/Whiterights in TRP's is probably the most troubling thing I see on either list. Blue Pillers are really way into snarky subs.

Sex offender registry is a really big problem, granted. But kidnapping charges are thrown around all the time in the more gruesome custody disputes. And people frame others for murder, arson, and other serious crimes, hoping to put the blame on them. And then there's the whole drug war thing.

Honest question - is it in bounds to target other anonymous crime tiplines? It's not like these only exist for sexual assault. Kidnapping, homicide, stuff like that?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
