| 2 | Github is about to go the Twitter routeBitbucket is free for private repos Setting up your own git is fine and all, but to be honest I would trust github or birbuckets redundancy capabilities much more than what a person could spin up quickly themselves. Its also useful to be able to easily share code, by sending a link to certain files if its not a private repo, or even looking through a project yourself on the web if it is.
