5	How long is too long to wait? I would wait 1 year to get married. Any longer than that and that tells me the guy does not want to get married. Average is 2 to 3 years. I personally think that’s too long. Any longer than 3 years is a waste. After 2 years you should be engaged and married by the end of year 3. The last year is usually to plan the wedding.
