Agreed. She's just got back in and I'm getting the silent treatment. She is muttering under her breath about what a bastard I am and how terrible her life is. Interestingly, as well as bringing home the thing she forgot to get for me earlier, she has also bought loads more stuff for herself. So, 5 bags in total now filled with her things and one item for me which could fit into the palm of my hand.

I think the best for me is simply not to date anymore. Yes. Very true. I have lost count of the amount of times I've been to someone's home and everything relating to the man is relegated to a 'man cave' which is a derisory term. Everything that man has, often the chief breadwinner, is reduced to 1% of the house he is largely paying for.

I can relate to all of this. I once went away for a weekend and came back to discover all the movies I had bought over a lifetime were gone. I went ballistic. It was my mother this time. She feigned ignorance and denied she had touched them. I had 200+ dvd's and videos and they were all gone. I never knew what happened to them. The same happened to all my books and CD's. Vanished without a trace.

I agree and also, she made me actively question where the power supply could be. I know where it was. It couldn't be anywhere else. She has just arrived in through the door and already she is ranting about what she wants to buy, what a shit-hole this place is (we live in a nice home) and how better her life could be in different circumstances. She is every woman I have ever known, ever dated. Every woman others have dated. Every person's mother I have known.

You're right by the way. I will only reply to her now and agree. I have noticed that when I express myself, she looks into the middle distance and zones out and although she can regurgitate verbally what I have told her, it's simply being held in her short-term memory, she isn't actually interested in anything I have to say at all. I exist primarily to echo back to her, her own thoughts which are in fact a regurgitation of the shit she has watched on the TV.

I agree. She reads me perfectly. Whenever she has suspected I was going, she has love-bombed me and I, like a fool, stayed put. Today, she informed me that it wasn't 'pressing' that we got a new power supply as there was nothing we (we = what she wants) needed to be drilled so could she buy one for me another time? Future faking is what she has done. It will never happen so it's all just empty words, as always.

They don't allow us anything. I used to have a bass guitar but it had to go because in her words "It's not as if you're making money out of it" but that's not the point. I enjoyed playing along with backing tracks in my free time. I took up photography but the cable I needed to connect the camera up to the laptop went missing so I bought another one and that went missing as well. It's almost as if it's a game to them. That's shit about your buddy's car. He shouldn't have had to get rid of it.

They have no respect for us or our things. They never have. Even my own mother got rid of my favorite toys as a kid and gave them to a cousin of mine. I was shocked when I not only discovered them missing but then saw them, all scuffed up, under the stairs at my cousin's house. No letting me know at all. She just got rid of them. Women are hard bitches, the lot of them.
