Nobody complains about how male models are paid pennies compared to their female superstars and no surprise since the market for female clothing is much, much bigger than mens'.

I watched the gif 3 times looking for the girl. Did find her, but watched 3 more times in disbelief.

Dude...you have to cultivate a dgaf attitude. Once you internalize that concept, then you've earned freedom. Seriously, why does the opinion of others affect your personal self view?

Unfortunately...not. 2nd largest national newspaper (i.e. sold in every market) but only claims 40% of the leader's readership, the Globe and Mail. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_newspapers_in_Canada_by_circulation

Yeah, but that sounds like incompetent management. I've had great experiences working with women - in subordinate or equivalent roles. Co-operative, supportive, mature, hard-working...completely the opposite of what was portrayed. Maybe I've just been lucky. Living with them is another matter.

Hmmm! It's one thing to be excluded from a social/private club, but to deprived of employment duties in a workplace is something else entirely. I wonder if the male servers have a justifiable case of discrimination?

No...sub is for men and women. Any health professional takes threats of suicide very seriously and more so for men, since we're good at it. As others have pointed out...they just need to be heard and not feel so alone and helpless. Just giving them a ear can be very helpful.

Similiarly with professional female models. We all hear about the super successful ones but the average earnings for a model is $27,000. Market economics.

I've recently become dubious about the 50% rate myself: the calculation seems odd - 2.4 million new marriages, 50 million existing marriages but out of that 50 million, 1.2 million get divorced. 1.2/2.4 = 50%. Seems like an odd way to calculate a rate, no?

Well only a problem for women. Men keep their freedom and sanity.
/r/MensRights29/09/10 02:55 AM

Difference is that they generally don't need proof to accuse a man of rape. Nope, the woman is always right.

Especially worse for violating personal space of fine white women. The outrage!

Amen to that. Happily ever after - hell no....well at least 55% of the time.

"The women there were not only unsympathetic to the idea of changing laws, but refused to understand that there was a problem." "Why yes...of course my teeth are sharper and longer than yours. Why is that a problem?"...said the wolf to the sheep.

Only if you're less than 35 years old - at least where I live. Older than that and you're automatically eliminated. If you're female, you can volunteer, no matter your age.

The ones making $300 an hour would be disinclined to agree....

Not true: later in the article, the beefy model reports getting more work recently. Now if there's real equality, he'd get paid as much as the female models....

Perfect ... we guys can hang it up, chill out and rely on the women to bring back the dough. Feminism FTW!

Title is misleading - if you actually read the article, she doesn't blame the patriarchy. She just accepted it. I don't think it was a rape at all - just a date gone bad; she doesn't seem too traumatized by it.
/r/MensRights24/04/10 02:39 PM
3

That's outrageous. I hope some lawyer takes up this guy's cause and sues the county for every dime they have, or ever will.
/r/MensRights21/04/10 03:10 AM

I disagree - marriage is only screwed up in the western world, but not in Asia or south America, where the rates of divorce are significantly lower.
/r/MensRights18/04/10 01:15 AM
1

Not at all...an increasing imbalance means that the pool of eligible males will be even smaller - if you're a male college hottie, you'll never have a problem getting dates!!!!

Generally, women aren't very funny. Case in point.

Well, how else are Oprah's fans going to feed their need for facial cream made from infant foreskins?
/r/MensRights22/02/10 01:28 AM

It's called femininity. Travel to South America and you'll understand. Women don't look at you like you're a potential rapist.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but what's that for?

It's kinda like telling women: make your guy OK, so you will be OK. Besides...do you think men really care more about their health than women?
/r/MensRights12/02/10 04:03 AM
2

No, it's not gentle loving women...it's women who are desperate/poor and know they can't possibly afford to give the child the love and attention that all children deserve.
