This is the message he got from Facebook, they included the article text as part of their reasons for removing the content. He originally just posted the link.

I agree with you that one should be free to do whatever. I don't like the feeling of female massages for example. People are quick to judge it as homophobic and that's wrong. It boils down to why you prefer a woman. If it's because you're afraid that the guy is gay and that he's getting off on touching you, then yeah that's hateful and ignorant, but if it's because you prefer how a woman gives a massage then thats perfectly legit.

Maybe they feel trapped in the marriage and they make this choice because they don't want children to complicate issues. My big point is that a person's body is their own, and if either gender wants to stop reproducing it should be their person choice.

Okay, but neither should be true.

the whole "your body" thing really goes out the window with the "your money" and "your stuff" and "your life" business because you are sharing all of that stuff. His body is still his body. Yes he has shared life, stuff and money with his spouse, but his body is still his body.

I'm sorry, but I disagree. This would be giving in to the system that we are trying to fight against. Men have reproductive rights as well. There is no way that a woman would ever be asked for her husband's permission to either have her tubes tied, or be prescribed the pill.

To me this sounds like it could easily grow into body dysmorphia.

Are the facts on the posted backed up by anything? 1/3 as likely to attend university seems a little low.

I'm sorry I was unclear. "Society often considers a gun to be a man's weapon." is more what I was trying to say. I was not discussing what is true, but what people think.

Unfortunately a handgun is considered a "Man's Weapon" because they can also be used on the offense. But not everyone is trained in using one. Pepper spray is not hard to use, but vastly considered a Woman's weapon -- which is unfair to women too, because it makes them out to be unable to defend themselves with out it.

I'm happy to hear this, you should report it to one of the local news stations or newspapers and get some coverage on the fact that we are being represented.

You would assume that, but it's not true. A lot of parents are afraid of "standing in their way" by warning their kids.

I agree with what CMOS222, said. Don't make it dramatic, just handle it legally and within the limits of the law. Please keep us up to date, I'm hoping that you can help this person not have a horrible experience.

Here is the explanation. The short version is that a little while ago, people were making posts and when we all responded to it changing what the post said to make /r/mr look like jerks. So the troll would post "I really hope that one day we will all find equality" and everybody would agree and then the troll would edit the post to read "Fuck women, they all suck" and the comments below would read "Yeah I agree completely!". So the bot was created to copy any post to another subreddit so that th…

But since I'm in theater, people make assumptions about me, never mind that I built a two story house on stage, when I was in high-school, THAT FUCKING ROTATED. I had to laugh when I read this. I completely agree with you. Not to mention at one point the theater was exclusively men. It was also very manly to cry -- that's why in Greek Tragedies they always broke into tears. I don't know what changed...hrmn.

I do that too. I knew this woman who was doing costuming for Medieval Reenactment stuff and she was going to show a bunch of people some tips on it. I asked to come along and she politely but firmly said no along with some very flimsy excuse. It occurred to me a few days later that it was all women who were invited to her house.

There's a post at the Austrian Times which claims to have interviewed the dentist. http://austriantimes.at/news/Around_the_World/2012-04-28/41273/Chew_Cheating_Rat_ Also a number of other reputable news sources have reported on it. I Huff Post, Daily News, etc. I imagine that they would research their story first.

Yes. I understand that and it sucks, but I do not believe that we should openly attack them back. My opinion is that MR should not exist to stop feminism. Instead it should exist to give men power and to remove the negative stereotypes from the status-quo. If we draw parallels between the two movements you will see that we face many problems just as women faced back when feminism became popular. The issue is that when they fought for their rights the pendulum swung too far. We are not talking ab…

Yes, I agree with you, but campaigning is unfortunately about marketing. Framing our concerns and our needs in a way that does not make them appear to directly counteract feminism is a way to make the message reach more people. We should make MR more about lifting men up and keeping women up so that both genders are empowered instead of bringing women down to where we are now.

I really like this concept but I don't think that it should be so us vs them, because I don't think that it is about that. Instead I believe that it's about how we are taught from so young that many of these things above are just common truths that we should except. Instead I'm imagining a shot of a guy looking slightly forlorn with a caption that reads. "It's important for me to learn to enable a culture of false accusations with zero evidence causing major penalties for me and none for the acc…

I agree that my example wasn't the best. Differentiating between kinds of sexual abuse is dangerous IMO. It tends to lead to conversations about what is "worse". The comment made above by epsteinbarr puts it best I think: There are plenty of men who project the masculine ideal that any female attention, especially sexual, is sought and cannot feasibly be forced upon men. So perhaps a better way to answer your question would be, "A man can be raped by being forced into a sexual situation that he …

Well a number of ways. Did you ever get hard in a weird situation? You weren't aroused but all of sudden you're hard. Well that's because getting hard is a physical reaction to stimulus. You will hear people here say, "an erection is not consent". So imagine that some woman has asked you for sex and you told her that you were not interested (let's say for example that you're married). Say she pulls a gun on you and holds it to you temple and forces you to lay down and then begins to rub her vagi…

I believe that this is relevant because it is a way for a man to be in control of his reproductive organs.

Everybody should be fixing it, males and females. This is an issue of society not of gender. Men's Rights =/= Anti-Women's Rights. Look at this story as an example. No one is saying that male pedophiles should go free, we're saying that this boy should be given the same protection as a girl would be given if she were raped by a 33 year old man. Just imagine a poor girl, 13 years old and pregnant with a child that she never wanted because she was forced into sex by a man more then twice her age. …

I agree with your point but it is /not/ slightly over half. I am in a same sex relationship with a bi male who I share an income with. He pays child support and I handle the bills. It is a crappy drain on our income, but it is not half of his check.

That's the point of why everyone is mad. That iamge of the woman who beats her husband with a rolling pin is allowed to exist, and women who follow that image (as some do) tend to get away with it. The ad shows that a woman beating a man is so acceptable that it can be made light of. If this picture were reversed it wouldn't be attached to an ad, it would say "Get out while you can", or something like that.

Thank you. I really appreciate it. It's funny to even bring this up, because it was so long ago. You're right, I should've pressed for it, but I had 2 more years to go and I just didn't want anymore torture.

No, I wasn't generalizing. I was simply saying "they" to mean the woman who did this to me and to SpykerSpeed. I'm sorry if you took it that way. Please understand that MR and this thread aren't about denying that women are abused but instead about bringing to the forefront that men are abused as well.

I identify with this. I'm gay...and I at one point came out in HS. There was this very good looking girl who thought that she would prove it. So she came up to me at lunch and sat on my lap and like straddled me in "riding position". The vice-principal was standing right there....I immediately put my hands up so that the whole lunch room (who was now looking only at us) could see that my hands weren't on her. I just kept repeating, "Please...get off...please..." I got called-in for causing troub…

More than 10 percent of all child abuse victims are male and nearly half of them are under the age of 18, according to RAINN. Huh? I would imagine that 100% of "child abuse victims" would be under 18, lol.

It was probably that he was brought up with a knee jerk reaction that "We don't hit women". So when she was smashing him with crystal, he went defensive instead of offensive.

FWIW, "Odds are" is a common expression meaning "it is likely that". This does not, as it sounds, mean the mathematical probability is high. Some examples: Odds are it will rain tomorrow. Odds are they used milk chocolate in the cake because it's cheaper. Odds are the odds are stacked against us.

I think the joke is supposed to be that her and her friend on the phone know that she is talking about yogurt, but the guy doesn't so he is looking for the literal items. My issue is that the yogurt containers, with labels that say what the flavor of the yogurt is, are right in front of his face. Clearly men can't read.
