Alright, I think this would be the best and most mature way to handle this. Don’t stop caring, or acting cold, or whatever BS. Just talk to her. Communicate what bothers you. It’s clear some of this stuff bothers you, as it rightfully should. Say something along the lines of “I realize you have plenty of guy friends. Wow everyone here is saying don’t tell her. Things won’t really move forward well if you don’t tell her. She might second guess herself, or wonder if she’s really interpreting things the right way. I second this. Don’t be sly or subtle. Just be straightforward and say you like her and want to take her out. Do it a friendly, kind manner of course. It’s worked well for me.

Wow, it sounds like you’re incredibly into yourself. You act like you’re god’s gift to mankind. You should think about your ego. It’s narcissistic and I don’t think these people care/think about you as much as you think they do. You should tone down the anger too. Maybe this “insecurity” you’re sensing could be from people being uncomfortable around you for other reasons. You could be giving off hostile vibes.
