Two things to watch out for: Narcissists often tell on themselves. They will accuse others of various behaviors out of the blue but in reality the idea only occurs to them because they have done it themselves. If they know they are a Narc (some have diagnosed personality disorders...) they may start accusing others of it. Example 1: My ex who has an official diagnosis calls me a narcissist when I don't go out of my way to satisfy demands regarding child custody. Example2: My ex accused me of che…

I think the bitchiness is solely due to the fact that she is ruling people out based on her standards which is not socially perceived as an acceptable thing for women to do.b

This is a man who is too weak to say no because free sex. He will cheat on her and stay with her until he gets caught or finds her replacement. Men don't care if they like you or not! They are happy to fuck you, zero feelings involved, if you let them!

This does not surprise me AT. ALL. In the month after my ex husband left, I had no fewer than 8 guys, including exes and friends of friends and older men (friends and work colleagues of my dad's) who drooled over me as a teen try to proposition me. Some didn't stop again until I posted my wedding photos. They fake congratulated me and asked if he was the type to share... so disgusting.

Yes it does. More so, if you study rewards systems, or trauma/abuse recovery and then flip it on its head.

He left out the part where men don't have the willpower to say no to being adored and provided with free physical affection or sex.

Yes, better to focus all that energy on something towards leveling up rather than a wishy washy relationship.

Wooooow.... Dodged a bullet. Crossing ivy league degrees off my high value trait list... Wait, wait, wait! I understand if it's too personal, but I am DYING to know how the entire "house rules" incident played out! Please? I need a laugh after the day I had. I just cannot imagine anyone being so out of touch with reality that they would even attempt to pull that.

I would hope they controlled for emotional tone and content. But yeah that wouldn't surprise me. Female voices are higher pitched and lots of species respond to that better. Hence the creation of "baby talk."

LMAO. You are not the reason he works the bare minimum. He does that for himself. He just wants to keep you down on his level.

She is extremely pretty, not to mention well dressed and styled to the nines. I hope she dumps his ass for this. What a jerk.

Yep. I ditched them all. I realized they were all hobosexuals. No wonder I ended up married to a predator, that was my total comfort zone.

Not to mention a lot of men just flat out lie about the separation so they can cheat.

My husband, who is demonstrably a HVM, has been divorced twice. The first time, he married young, age 19, and his wife left him for a woman. The second time, his ex had a drug problem, untreated mental illness, was cheating on him and was endangering their children in multiple ways. They were married almost 20 years and those things did not manifest til late in the game. He stayed single for 7 years after his second divorce and he really worked on himself. Divorce CAN be a red flag for sure. It …

I think I have heard whispers that the same is happening in hookup culture. Didn't some study come out saying Gen Y and Z are having less sex than Gen X were at our ages.

Thank you, all! this is encouraging to me, I was having similar feelings, that it's all or nothing with makeup. That I had "horrible" skin and that was why foundation "looks bad." It seems like it should be easy but I think foundation really is the hardest part of a full face. Feeling less incompetent about it now. I use microneedling (you can buy on Amazon) with the products you mentioned and got some great results evening out acne scarring. (Caveat to other readers: do not microneedle on activ…

I would wait a little longer, maybe after the new year and after Valentine's day. Just so you can skip some of the games by lonely losers needing dates to parties...but really, I would say wait because I think we women tend to start in on these things before we are actually ready. I agree with the commenter who said that you will have an easier time rejecting the unworthy if you are feeling more confident. Work on yourself a bit longer. Get in the right head space. Enjoy finding some things that…

I HIGHLY endorse all of this. My husband, when we were first getting to that level, discovered that he had untreated ED. (He's in his 50s, he had been single for years 7 or so years, not into porn. He's very fit, it was a total surprise to him.) He got to a doctor and handled it pretty quick but we we still had about a month at the beginning of that phase in our relationship where the result was that it was all about just enjoying eachother. No pressure to get to any specific point. All of what …

Keanu is an excellent example. I love how he dates women in his own age bracket and even then they are well rounded women, known for their work and accomplishments, not former supermodels or otherwise "looks culture" famous. I can't recall what the questions were now, but there have been a few times in interviews when he was asked inappropriate questions and he could have gotten mad but he very gracefully kept it moving right along. I wish I remembered what the context was. I would go find a lin…

Oh my God. This is... so frightening and depressing. It makes me so angry that these perverts try to ride the coat tails of LGBT rights as if they are just like everyone else. I wish the LGBT movement would do more to distance itself... not that it is their responsibility... but God. It's just scary.

I was just having this conversation with my daughters. Men don't have the self discipline to say no to free sex. Don't give it out for free and think that means he's committed to you or even interested. He just can't think with his correct brain.

I saw a tik tok where this 50 something petite woman was demonstrating how to be "on top" a big man with this MASSIVE yoga ball. Funniest thing I have ever seen. I'm with you tho, if he has that apron thing going on, there would be no chance... if his hygiene weren't IMMACULATE that could be a truly harrowing experience.

Sad to say it's at every strata. Upper middle class upbringing, here. Hung out with diplomats and officers' kids. Permissive parenting. Laziness and disrespect for women is at every level. "Let the housekeeper do it, that's her job." Entitlement. Habitual dishonesty, to parents, in academics, with girls. Sexual harassment. Criminal mischief. As far as I know, most people who graduated in my class appear to be doing fine economically. Lots of divorces. Even at some surprisingly young ages. Still …

Also wouldn't it be better to not communicate your boundaries so LVM won't attempt to lovebomb or future fake you? I think it's really important to not "give them the answers to the test" up front. (Meaning not telling them your boundaries) This is one more reason why we don't argue with them when they are jerks, or call them out in paragraphs long text about how they made us feel, or try to "work on them." Just block and delete. Or state that the relationship is over, then block and delete, if …

This goes so opposite of my experience, which just shows me we can't generalize. I am white and the majority of my friends were white or Asian growing up (I lived overseas. Diplomats and ex pats with ties to the military mainly US Air Force and Navy.) When I was in my teens and young 20s, black servicemen at home- and college students when I went away to school- treated my white friends like dirt, pretty much across the board. We are talking public drama and humiliation, financial abuse, infidel…

It's sad, because I think men think we want "nothing more," as if that makes them less intimidating because there are "nO UlTeriOr MoTivEs" I guess it's a good thing they are so wrong, because they out themselves...

LOL number 2 resonates with me. I am a very touchy person myself. my now husband is all that you described despite being 14 years older than I am. Including the thick gorgeous hair, which is practically super human at his age. He is a confident man in general, but I can tell when he gets a boost from all my attention and it just makes him double down on all his HV provider traits. It makes me feel very loved and very poowerful as well. A little positive reinforcement goes a long way. Hahaha!

Why is it wrong to "buy your own happiness?" Am I missing something? You have money, you wanted it, you bought it. Are you saying this feels like you bought a ring for yourself because no one else would? And what is that 1950s garbage about owning no rings but a wedding band?? If you like jewelry, you are allowed to wear it. If you're concerned about scaring off legit suitors, wear it on a different finger.

Very useful at times. And often amusing to see them encounter other versions of themselves. They get all puffed up and even territorial, or they will just bail because how dare we have eyes for other men.
