Gabrielle Blair, a blogger has called for mandatory vasectomies of boys at puberty and she defends circumcision as well. How do these women not see that boys routinely being circumcised at birth is a violation of their bodily autonomy?I do not understand circumcision being "the norm." I'll admit, I'm not educated on any potential benefits, but can't circumcision occur later in life if an adult chooses to do so? Why directly harm a child? I've seen the argument that "moms don't feel comfortable cleaning that area of a boy," but if that's the case, they should not be mothers at all. If you choose to maim your baby for your own emotional comfort, you are not fit to be a mother. | /r/MensRights | 20/08/22 05:40 PM
I’ve been falsely accused of stalking, and I’m not sure what to do.This is horrifying to read. I'm so sorry | /r/MensRights | 20/08/22 04:46 AM
What did you guys think of this Instagram post? What’s the best way to respond to it?I know multiple men who were groomed and raped in their youth. Not a single one knows that what they experienced was rape, however, since the perpetrators were women. | /r/MensRights | 16/08/22 05:45 AM
Feminism’s emotional labor scam.Jesus Christ that was harrowing. "Women have to do this, so should men." Who is making them? Why not just...remove that self-imposed standard and leave men out of it. | /r/MensRights | 10/08/22 01:09 PM
Why are men often assumed to be the perpetrators of failing/toxic relationships?Women hold emotional power, both legally and interpersonally. | /r/MensRights | 10/08/22 01:07 PM
I’ve been falsely accused of stalking, and I’m not sure what to do.As an autistic person, I cannot tell when I'm not wanted. I have to be told explicitly to piss off, and then I will, no problem. But I am also a woman, so it's seen as benign and endearing. A lot of people struggle with social cues. When my friends bring up "harassing" men they interact with, I ask if they've indicated WHATSOEVER that they are bothered. The answer is always no. Women love to talk about unfair social standards, but men cannot have a conversation without ridicule if they deviate f… | /r/MensRights | 10/08/22 01:02 PM
HypergamyI hold no love for Andrew Tate, but I do find the vitriol he & his fans face to be unbelievable. How many mainstream platforms are built on the same advice, but for women? Kanye said it well. | /r/MensRights | 10/08/22 12:53 PM
Apparently it's even controversial to tell women pregnancy becomes increasingly more dangerous to mother and child with ageThat term is considered outdated, and people tend to use "Advanced Maternal Age" in discussion, but you know which one is actually listed on the medical documentation 🤭 | /r/MensRights | 09/08/22 11:01 PM
Apparently it's even controversial to tell women pregnancy becomes increasingly more dangerous to mother and child with ageI googled the topic and found none of the purported research indicating older pregnancies are "just as safe." The closest I've found is that "social advantages make up for biological disadvantages," but the advantages mentioned are "experience" and economic capacity, both of which are only suggestions, not cited phenomenons. Are there social advantages to being permanently disabled? What about being dead? Is leaving your newborn in the sole care of a grieving father "advantageous?" I'm sure. Fun… | /r/MensRights | 09/08/22 10:50 PM
I saw an interesting clip that said society absolves women of responsibility. what do you all think? This message is so lovely. More love and help for humans. Less support for governments that profit from their oppression | /r/MensRights | 08/08/22 05:27 AM
Sexism in WomenAs a rebuttal to the bias point: My undergrad degree is in sociology (I know, I know). Looking for documentation of X phenomenon in Y group is not an inauthentic means of collecting sources. It is not a problem when collecting the data for that research either. It's necessary. Social research requires a hypothesis just like any other research discipline. As long as controls/variables/etc are used and accounted for, and the data is presented without manipulation, all is well. The idea that you ca… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 03/08/22 10:27 AM
Thoughts on the phrase “not all men” and more specifically the general reaction to it?I just read an article about misandrist microagressions that touched on this issue. Sayings like "all men think with their dicks," and "he's a man, he won't understand" are socially acceptable despite their intrinsic harm. Funny how generalization is fine when it only affects men /s | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 02/08/22 11:02 AM
Thoughts on the phrase “not all men” and more specifically the general reaction to it?My personal stance on generalization is that it shifts the blame from the perpetrator to a scapegoat. Male rapists should be punished to the fullest extent possible because they are rapists, NOT because they are men. Blaming demographic groups for individual actions, when measured any other signifier (race, religion, geographic location, socioeconomic class) is bigotry. Why are men an exception? It isn't an issue of accountability or justice, it's an excuse for bias and misplaced malice. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 02/08/22 10:57 AM
Sexism in WomenThere may be something of use in this article: https://quillette.com/2020/07/27/the-myth-of-pervasive-misogyny/ It cites a fantastic variety of research (though most of it is people-perpetuating-misandry and not women-perpetuating-misandry). I can say, however, that teachers consistently give females higher grades. Over 74% of teachers in the US are female (https://www.zippia.com/teacher-jobs/demographics/). Misandry in education is a problem I severely underestimated. Today's research has been.… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 02/08/22 10:11 AM
