It's funny. I'm currently reading a book called 'The War Against Boys' by Christina Hoff Summers. The old edition had the subtitle 'How misguided Feminism is hurting boys'. She had to remove that subtitle because a lot of feminists got really offended and saw it as an attack on feminism itself. Yet clearly, 'misguided' is an adjective, as OP argues. Does OP or anyone else have any idea why the subtitle was considered offensive by feminists?

The way I see it, some people see bigotry as wrong in any circumstance. Some people see bigotry as acceptable in some circumstances (eg it's ok to be bigoted against group x because they are lazy, or because they commit crimes, or they only recently arrived in a certain country). When people say it is ok to be bigoted against people who are more powerful than them I consider them to be in the second group.

This is such an important thing to acknowledge. Cassie Jaye has probably done as much for the MRA cause as anyone. Also, if you follow the Johnny Depp case, there are a lot of women, and even a lot of Feminists, who are calling out the appalling double standards around Amber Turd. The idea that all women, or even all Feminists, oppose Men's Rights doesn't really stand up to deep scrutiny.

This seems like a great idea. I am a little disturbed by the emphasis on only men being DV perpetrators though. Hopefully this is just a reflection on the journalist and not Tomorrow Man. I hope they also teach how to set healthy boundaries and how to walk away from a violent partner. There are quite a few resources available for older men in Australia to do this kind of work. It's great to see something aimed at younger men.

Some feminists believe that a woman cannot physically assault a man except in self defence. This belief has legal backing in some jurisdictions through DARVA laws. In the interview above, this woman refuses to acknowledge that she did any more than shout at the 14 year old boy, but she does claim that the father "attacked' her. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure 'female' is the adjective form of the noun 'woman'. So for instance "The firefighter was a woman" (noun) becomes "The female firefighter" (adjective). I think you make some good points here. But one of the things I value about this subreddit is that the mods seem to allow an open conversation. Some other subreddits seem to ban a lot of comments. This feels to me like being treated as an adult -' here's the conversation, make of it what you will.' A subreddit with all controversial comments removed feels infantilising to me - 'You probably can't handle this comment so we'll remove it before you see it'.
