| 1 | Lifting is not nearly enough: RUN!I see your point, and I agree that pursuing any physical activity (running included) is a great first step when facing confidence issues, and exploring with intensity is key. However, I am simply providing my anecdotal evidence from running at a high level and consistently winning vs. being an average schmuck at the gym. To me, adding more weight to my lifts will be a better confidence boost than winning a 2 mile race against 50 other competitive runners. | /r/TheRedPill | 27/06/19 12:06 AM |
| 1 | Lifting is not nearly enough: RUN!As someone who ran long distance competitively for over 5 years as a successful cross country and track athlete: there is no joy in running compared to lifting. If your argument is that running increases confidence, I have found that lifting is far more beneficial, and on top of that it produces visible results whereas even running over 50 miles a week will not hold a candle to the gains you see from the gym. | /r/TheRedPill | 26/06/19 11:33 PM |
