My husband is 9 years older than me, we met and hit it off and found out about the age gap later. My parents have a 7 year age gap.. i think its probably not uncommon. But keep in mind that you may be still forming your personality/interests at 22yo, and your lifelong wants and goals may still be shifting as you are settling into adulthood. Also be aware that he may have 9 years of baggage to bring to the table, so be very cautious with your trust so you know youre not being taken advantage of. …

He may have some emotional problems he just needs to work through over time, and you may still love him.. but this is a horrible foundation to restart a relationship on. Very well put, i would also add that when youre pregnant (at least for myself and pregnant women ive spoken to), the protective instinct and hormones are going to reinforce your desire to keep your baby. If you feel this strongly now, you wont change your mind, and if he thinks youll eventually change your mind- he might just leave/resent you during pregnancy and labor, and that is when you will need his support the most

Deal breaker, if my husband felt that way we would be incompatible. Raising kids, deciding on a human life, is a HUGE thing in a longterm relationship, and its better to have it sorted now than to cause exponential misery in the future. Its best not to hope for a change of heart, bexause that adds pressure and tension that could manifest in unhealthy ways.

Absoloutely not. High Value means he may check certain boxes, but high value doesn't matter if things don't click between you and him.
