As a frequent browser of this subreddit, I've noticed the same thing anecdotally in my friends and I've never seen it mentioned on here until now. For age reference, I'm 20. My friends who I would describe as stoic, a mans man, or "mature for their age" struggle the most with girls, even if they're good looking with cool personalities. Whereas my friends who are relatively immature or give off the sad boi vibe have a new girlfriend they hang out with 24/7 every time I turn around. They bounce fr…

I've noticed the 420 guys excel at being seen as the casual option. "Wanna come over and smoke a bowl?" gets any person to come over to your place. Who turns down free weed?

You sound like me OP. I just posted a similar post a few hours ago about the college culture. I was a late bloomer so when I finally got the looks (acne went away) and confidence to get girls, I had no clue how to go about it, whether it be dating or hooking up.

Was the guy's name Corey Wayne?

This is gold, dude, I appreciate the detail. This is way more helpful than the standard advice of this sub "be attractive and just stick it in." I recently hooked up with a girl using the exact format you just described. This was before reading the book, but I realize after reading how high her attraction level was. She was doing 80% of the talking and I wasn't super into her, so I unintentionally was being mysterious and not revealing too much. I was oblivious, but she made the first move so it…

I really liked Corey's way of describing a date as basically just being a 1-1 situation with a girl and facilitating the logistics for sex to happen. It really takes the pressure off the word "date" and as long as you're facilitating an opportunity to be 1-1 with a girl and make a move, that's all a date is. Most guys I know who are good with girls never really go on "dates" in the formal sense, but they get a girl 1-1 and make a move, so I guess it's a date after all, just not in the cheesy rom…

I definitely picked up on that. I just liked his overall in-depth analysis on how women think. I somewhat disagree with his thing about purposely waiting to contact a girl since girls usually SnapChat the fuck out of me right away if they're into me and sometimes lose interest if I don't reciprocate enough, but sometimes it causes them to SnapChat me more and chase me, it varies. Maybe the former were girls that had a low attraction level anyways, idk. But I've also lost girls by contacting too …

This runs contrary to everything said on this sub.

As someone who lost my v-card a few weeks ago, I understand the dilemma. I wasn't a stereotypical virgin, I'm a tall, decent-looking guy who wasn't afraid of sex by any means, but I just never really went after it for whatever reason. I know a lot of guys who aren't virgins who literally act like you just described, they just fell into sex at the right time and place, and normal guys who are who don't act like that, there's a wide variety in people, you can't put people in little boxes. I know g…

Wanted to lose my virginity so I started reading this sub and a few others to pick up the slack. I lost it a few weeks ago actually, so I'm on the right track. Now that the v-card monkey is off my back, I just want to get better with girls in general. I can make initial approaches, but I usually struggle with sealing the deal, so that's my focus now and this sub has a lot of info about that. This sub has given me more confidence towards women in general and I just need more practice. Without thi…

Dude, I'm on the same journey. I am also trying to lose the v-card, and I'm in college. I was just a late bloomer and never really bothered with girls until recently. Don't focus on the whole losing the v-card thing because it puts too much pressure on yourself. You're a guy with a lot going for him and not your stereotypical virgin, so you have so much room for growth. Guess what, a lot of guys who are virgins or maybe not virgins but just bad with girls have zero motivation to improve. I perso…

Alright, so I have this piece of advise, and then everyone else saying only slutty girls do that. Ya'll confuse me sometimes.

This subreddit is full of contradictory advice. A lot of other posts are always saying things like if you don't make a move fast enough, she'll go fuck some other dude or friendzone you, no matter what kind of girl she is. But my post seems to be attracting a contradictory opinion of only slutty girls do that and everyone else takes their time.

Says the subreddit focused on trying to get laid.

Says the subreddit focused on same-night lays. I'm in college, so I feel like the rules are a little loosened, at least from what I've observed.

I'm thinking do a coffee date early in the week to establish some rapport. Then on Thursday night, invite her over to watch a movie or something. I think pulling after a day date would be tough to pull off.

How should I phrase it? Should we meet up somewhere in public first? I'm new to the hookup scene, so I don't know the logistics.

Yeah, I've been Tindering pretty hard recently and had a few daytime coffee dates that went well. Netflix and Chill for second date seems like it may work. I'll experiment and see what happens.

No, I agree, it's definitely been around for a while. I just don't know how to navigate it.

I'm not 21, so bars are a no-go, unfortunately.

Any tips on how to get good text game?

I agree that actual dates are a one-way ticket to the friendzone in college. But these successful guys aren't pulling chicks from frat parties, it's more of a "just talking" thing which lasts anywhere from a few days to over a month before they actually hook up, they just text and snap each other every day. I just don't get how it happens.

Yeah that's more what I'm referring to. Meet for coffee early in the week to screen each other, then hit them with the come over text on Friday. I'm new to Tinder so idk what works and what doesn't.

I feel you. I was just wondering how to meet up with them for coffee on say Monday, and then have them over on like Wednesday or Thursday night. I go to a pretty competitive school, so weeknight pulls at bars aren't really a thing, people usually have homework or something.

People usually already have plans to go out with friends Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, so in my experience, it has been much easier to just meet up during the day between classes. People don't want to waste a prime night on a Tinder date usually.

Yeah I've definitely noticed that hook ups are the common occurrence. I had mostly goody two-shoes friends freshmen year that dated for a while before sex, so I was late to the party about the hookup culture. Thanks for the insight.

That's the problem though. The advice on this sub is always go out for drinks somewhere to escalate, but many students, myself included, frequently can't go out on weeknights because of schoolwork or an 8 AM class the next day.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
