The dude showed up to the party, knowing he knocked up his friends wife. Maybe greet the guy with champagne? Let me repeat: the dude showed up and played it off like everything is ok. Had the guy not been there, she would have gotten all the focus. She is not absolved in any way by any means. Plus you missed the part where the father yelled at him: “you would come visit her in MY house!!” Of course the father’s anger would be towards him.

You were looking for profanity. In Latin cultures, although frequently used, profanity doesn’t hit as much as insults and derogatory language. People who say this is fake won’t be convinced otherwise unless there’s horrific violence or death involved. Not everyone handles things like people in the US handle things.
