So.. women are not doing that to you. Sounds like they want to hire and objectify women. You're both being used.

Your last paragraph is expected. Win win is always the desired route. Mutual respect for each other includes autonomy. Sovereignty applies to nations, this is a conversation about people in a romantic relationship not a peace treaty. But the truth is, it's frequently not possible to achieve a win win with no comprimise. I'm speaking to situations where there is no obvious win win without personal change on some level. We must accept change, and accept that our lives will be moving and dynamic, a…

You just ignored everything I said. I never said someone else should achieve anything that's important to you. I said the ability to empathise with others and prioritise their wants and needs aswel as your own, in a reciprocal relationship, is an indicator of healthy communication. So, if he likes football and you don't but you want to spend time with him on a Saturday maybe get used to the sport. And if she likes birthdays but you don't maybe go all out one day a year. It gives the other person…

You're ignoring context. If someone doesn't pay attention to the things that you're telling them are important to you, then over time small things become indicators of big problems in a relationship. If a person doesn't pick up their socks a few times, fine. That's not a big deal. Like I said, no one writes a Reddit post about that. But if they never do it, and still flick off their socks thoughtlessly after talking to you, and hearing you and agreeing that they will do it. And then they keep do…

Sad day when you can't find common ground with the opposite sex of your own literal species. You'd think we all had more in common than not. But I can guess the reason you'll say why.

No one wants to touch the bumbum seat without gloves. Why is that the hill you're dying on. We should have a pedal for toilet seats and you know it. It's fuel for our culture war while the rich laugh at us, I bet they have toilet springs. I also complain about women who hover and piss on the seat by the way. NO TOILET SURPRISES from any of you.

Reddit gives men exactly the same advice, to just breakup. It is dependent on whether either have kids too. Usually people who post here are in quite a bad situation - you get the tail end of a relationship when people are really considering leaving. If you think about it, you're not going to post about someone never picking up their socks or not remembering a birthday. By the time people post it's usually been a year of X behaviour with no change and no improvement. They're at their wit's end w…

Sounds like they're trying to find some common ground with you. Irony is you're talking about anti male hostility while being openly hostile to women and women's movements. I dunno what happened to you but not everyone is against you.

This is true. Unless you are a gym bunny, being with one isn't a priority. An attentive, instinctive, considerate, enthusiastic lover is way more important than a pornstar dick. Women like a dad bod ( equivalent of a guy liking a size 12/14 woman) because that guy isn't going to spend all his time at the gym and not with you. Shared values, companionship, confidence, humour, good mental health, kindness and emotional intelligence win out over a big willy and a six pack. Those same qualities are …

Cool, well. I find a lot of the chat here misogynism barely veiled as anti feminism, hence the tirade when you equated feminism with religion. I'm too used to fighting my corner here I think! So I've unsubbed I don't think this is my jam. Anyway, enjoy Mr Noodles. This was the most normal conversation I had here. No one cares about artificial wombs. Can't wait. They comin.

You think it will be an affordable technology in 10/20 years? God I hope so. Has anyone been incubated in an artificial womb yet? What if... Governments start making babies if their population growth declines...

I think it would be great for anyone who wants a kid but doesn't want to give birth, or doesn't have baby making facilities. That's gonna be a lot of women and men. I currently wish I could do this. Reviving extinct species would be fucking swish AF. How long do you think it'll be prohibitively expensive, as in unaffordable? I think 60 years. And then it'll be at least as expensive as IVF.

Have you ever watched Fr Ted? You remind me of his speech when he's getting the golden cleric award. And now, we move on, to liars. OH SHIT that also works with the weird religious vibe you've got going on.

I wasn't saying you had to ask the women. The previous commenter, Mr Noodles, said the feminists wouldn't like an artificial womb ( untrue). Hence my response, don't even bother to check with the women, just burn the feminists! They're crazy and women hate men! I saw the memo, I wrote it myself! Ok, I'm gonna ask some questions. So, we're experimenting with an external womb. That's a whole area, arena, of complex thought. Practically, difficult. You have to risk your reputation to do studies on MDMA, who in the hell is allowing university students to grow human babies. Let's not rush ahead here. And you then also, want to use sperm cells .. to do what exactly? Use their genetic information how? I hate to be this person. Do you have a scientific paper? Like I said, it's been a few years.…

You have an opportunity to actually talk to a person here. If you're interested in fixing anything and achieving equality for women AND men - you have to acknowledge discourse is a part of that. I'm a smart, fun, funny woman. Happy to chat, I'm not sensitive in a way that people like you don't have to social skills to interact with. That was a jibe! Harhar. As someone who is happy enough to have lively debate. Anyone. Who says assuage. Has lost the argument. I'm smart too, I read. I'm not intimidated by your basic grasp of English with zero creativity or fun. Step. It. Up. Make a point. Make a joke. Anything. Try literally anything else. This has descended into me having to address your feelings about, well presumably, me, who you don't know. So you can't respond to me an individual. So this has to be more around people who disagree with you. And I…

Couch, here we go again. I literally said you'd repeat yourself. And you still did it. No one with half a brain is convinced by your lies and repetition. Might be convinced by other people. But not by you. And you don't get to name me. You can't repeat any BS bigotry and make it a part of my life. I've told you before. I love my brothers. And my brother's love me. I didn't say that. I was more trying to let you know that while I have a background and an interest, it's been ten years since I looked into what we were talking about. I work within pharma and medicines now. So when discussing it I don't have the confidence to say whether I think something is / is not based in fact. It's not an insult. Sorry, I'm going to be honest. It's been a few years since I finished my degree. Mate, points of evidence. What facts. What do you think a fact is? Facts are evidence based. There were literally no facts. And then to say, I'd do well to stop talking?! Never say that to anyone who is beating you in arguement. It comes off as weak. If you ever had to argue a facts based arguement, you'd actually have some experience of that. You do understand that you will have to pay for the service? It will likely cost more than .. free? Which is what women charge, currently. Oh, unless you get an actual surrogate. You will still need some woman's genetic information of course, eggs need to be harvested. Harvesting women's eggs is in the region of 10 G currently, to my knowledge. Takes hormone treatment and 6 months.. You'd then have to nurse an infant, alone. Not sure you've heard but apparently that's not dreadfully easy. You'll…

I had literally the opposite experience. Ten years with a guy who wouldn't really quite commit. Turns out I was just, the best he thought he could get. Still would be wrong for me to hate all men because one was a gobshite to me. Honestly though that sounds horrible and I'm sorry anyone treated you like that. You deserve better. You did nothing. You said nothing. You made no point. You keep repeating " willful ignorance, bigot, couch and misandrist". What insults? I've not insulted you at all. I tried to talk to you. You are exactly. Like the people that you say you vilify, parroting absolute nonsense about nothing that even you can barely understand. Poor me that has to respond to it, ignore the repetition and dignify it with some answer. You are actually everything that you say you hate. Can't you see that?

..so you don't believe evidence. If you don't use logic to make decisions, I can't use logic to show you my perspective. I know you know this. But.. writing laughter and making.. kind of weird accusations means very little. It's pretty myopic. Obviously, we're here, in a sub you know favours your opinions. You're such cynic. Saying women marry men for utility is an insult to men. As if after years of living with someone you couldn't tell. And if any relationship doesn't make it to retirement that's both their responsibility, of course. I swear no one in this sub has actually had a long term relationship, that they harp on about. It's about mutual respect. Look it up.

This NEVER happens to me in real life. But incels and their history has just come up on a related sub https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-45284455 This is the news article if you'd like to read it. https://gimletmedia.com/shows/reply-all/76h59o This is a podcast about the bisexual woman who started the movement. I would love to actually talk about men's rights here. You can find good points here, for sure, but they get no attention. The top comments ( and that's a stretch) are always some toxic arse just eager to blame women.

Sorry, incels don't exist? I think they'd disagree with you there. Em, with your name, I assumed because it was similar to incel. And you're MGTOW. My bad. Thank you for reading also. Em, I used to read MGTOW subreddits for years and I admit it's become somewhat healthier lately. Well, better is a strong word. Less about just hating women and more about focusing on themselves. I'm finding the same here, I'm genuinely trying to find a sub actually about men's rights I can contribute to and have conversations but nearly every post here uses feminism as a barely veiled attempt at slamming women. This was the worst one in a while. The lesbian comment, cringe. The rape comment, keep your pants on, Jesus. Rapists take them off you. Em... They were more likely to admit they were using ED medication. Less fragile egos. And ED in absolutely no way correlates to masculinity. And shame on you or anyone, who implies that ED makes you less of a man? Women use lube, does that make them less feminine? No, that's fucking stupid. Your draconian ideas about men belong in the dark ages, and you're unintentionally and unironically sexist. Your opinion is the real limp dick that needs propping up in this conversation.

I think I came off a bit snarky in my responses to you here, it wasn't my intention, I was more musing. I didn't realise it at the time. I often expect a big negative response on this sub, which to be honest I always get, it makes me defensive at times. Not your fault, thank you for your response. Anyway. Stereotype? I was basing it on my own sexual experience. And of course it's not every man, or women for that matter. But good for you! Tell your boy friends your experiences and tricks. Ask your girl friends if they're vocal about what they like. Talk it out. The more we normalise talking about pleasure the easier it becomes. Anything that isn't actively against women is downvoted here. Folks here read that article and blame the women for not telling them they're unsatisfied. When the article is about how they feel like they can't. Yet again - a communication issue. And the more important factor is that there's bound to be a disconnect - men cum faster. I cannot believe yours is the highest comment here. Body count. She's not a fucking sniper you twat. This issue has nothing at all, to do with the number of sexual partners anyone has. It's about a space for one partner to tell the other about their level of satisfaction. And the dynamics that feed into that. I don't know why we can't all just admit men take 5-10 minutes and women take 10-15 minutes to satisfy. Build that into sex education/ expectation. When you cum it ain't over. Its literally…

I've been in a similar situation as this in Sydney, the abuser was a man but the point stands. There were kids in the house. We recorded the shouting. Keep in mind it can be hard to get proper recordings through the walls. You can hear it clearly but it doesn't get across fully in audio. Report the abuse to the cops. Hopefully the threat of the cops coming back is enough. Keep in mind that you don't have to be shouted at for it to be abuse, of course. The reality is the abuse will just transmute…

You are allowed to have any preference you like when dating. People can, however, judge you for that preference, if they want. I will say though you may be judged more heavily for looking for qualities you don't have yourself e.g. if you want a slim partner but you are not slim, if you want a young partner but you are not young. You want a rich partner but you are not rich. Some "differences" are more accepted than others. I'm not justifying either but again. In romantic relationships, you get t…

Its such a large complicated topic it's again, impossible to unpack in a comment. Anything I say would perpetuate the same thing I've been saying I'm trying to avoid. But I do hope you are treated fairly and humanely. I hope there are things we can fight for together. I hope we achieve equality that's not at the expense of others. Maybe we can eat the rich together, who knows. If there's one think we can agree. The Expanse is a class TV show. Space dramas are usually shite but it's very decent.

Women tend to curate their space more. Listen, I've gotten on the wrong side of it too myself but I do understand it. Different ways of communicating require different skills. Let's not get bogged down on this one, men and women communicating is a fundamental issue and I can't solve it or justify it in a comment. But reading the subs and top comments you would think that feminism was what was the biggest roadblock getting in the way of men fighting for more rights. That's why I think it's fair t…

Yes. Of course. Who could disagree with that. People should know their rights. People should also learn when we are being pitted against each other. Echo chambers confirming our opinions and creating further division doesnt help anyone get more rights or be further understood. We just get to vent and keep the status quo. That's it. Well. There's a lot to unpack here. We can talk about what it's like to work in a team - arguably more healthy and relevant for you. Or we can talk about the ,selfish other worried team mate. Who tots up the scores and knows that while they say they'll bring out the bins they have forgotten 36% of the time and it's their only job. I didn't want to get involved but you've annoyed me now!

Great advice there dad. Why don't you just suggest that nonsense to them directly so you have to listen to yourself? Anyone can identify and personify their gender of choice! We're all, after all notoriously tolerant of that, dammit, I'll play along too with their fancy notions. After all men don't wear colours and feelings are for girls. But don't express them in politics or you're on your period! Where's your baby you suspicious Eastern European, where have you come from? See what kind of feed…

Little boys aren't asserting themselves. They're not imposing themselves on the space. They're not even thinking they're taking up any space. They're exploring and if anyone who comes along with them and explores with them is weaker than then them, they help them. Little boys are good.

You know, I think I have a really easy way of understanding where we are both coming from here. Give me an example of what you're talking about. What are these giving orders. They're not ordering you to go to war or steal a van. Are these chores you're being asked to do? Is that what you're talking about? Maybe it's much more serious. I don't mean to assume.

Sorry, that was a throwaway statement, this platform is dismissive, I shouldn't have judged so quickly. That's stupid. Can I tell you the role men tend to play in society? As I have noticed it.

You know. It's mad. But I actually know so well the dynamic you're talking about. I've always been surprised to find myself in it. Can I posit another one that women feel, in the same situation? Men ( very gender specific just my experience) are never aware of the next job we have to do as a team. The way I demonstrate caring for you is thinking about you. I always have to do my job and tell him his. It's so boring to have to do that (commands I hate it) but at least he will know I'll pick up th…

What are you talking about. Protecting - predominantly offered by our society. So the structure and development of our society determines our protection and the protections of our incrementally weaker members. It is not the responsibility of individual men. Systems are in place to protect us. If I get in trouble I call the cops, not the burly looking men Inthe corner. Providing - entirely depends on who you talk to and the country. Of course the primary caregiver sues you - your child is hardly going to sue? Might be better if they could. From the perspective of the state, the primary caregiver has the power to sue for child support. Child support is for the care of the child, whoever the primary caregiver is ( not always the mother) . You're mixing it up with alimony. I don't precide over these things and I don't pretend to know the laws in different countries, or the fairness of judgement in a specific case. But that's t…

Child support is for the child, not the mother. The proper protection arguement is an assurance by a company, not a guarantee by the state. This argument is BS. In the case of rape, I agree, it's fucked up. But in the case of rape of a woman, they also can't opt out if they're not ok with termination. If their country even allows. Or they have to carry the child of their rapist. And adopt, which is heartbreaking and always wonder where they are. How do you hide it from friends and family and wor…

Maybe it is misandry. Why think of a murderer as so one dimensional. Maybe innocent men who are targeted and attacked and one of the factors in deciding to select them was their gender is a form of misandry and shouldn't be generalised.

Three things an interviewer asks themselves. Can they do the job. Will they do the job. Will they fit in with the culture. Someone who is interviewing for a position and they're answerable for that hire won't hire someone who doesn't fit that criteria. They'll hire the best fit that also suits them. They won't necessarily hire the most qualified. Bubbly college girls tend to be more agreeable and they're cheaper. It's a business decision. I'm not saying this shit is right but it's the truth.

There is nothing to suggest that they wouldn't in the current facts. I agree with you. I was also saying however that more often, that isn't the case. But I know SWA about murderers, and I'm not into it. So I dunno. I agreed with OP. I did also point out maybe, why he was facing some confrontation. We have no experience of serial killers, and their minds. You treat them like robots, I'm treating them like an angry MGTOW. Both are likely wrong. Listen, maybe we should come back here in two weeks. And if I'm right and the murderer is a pervert that had distain for women and evolved that into murder, you'll eat crow. And if you're right and they're a psycho passionless murderer that identified a likely victim, I'll eat crow. If it's not a man we'll both eat crow because no matter what we say …

They do, for sure. And again, I'm not a murderer, I don't know the mind of a murderer or how complex it is. I assume as complex as ours. And I agreed with OP, their ban was BS. So you have said there may be reasons/ motivations at play where the murderer might have attacked regardless of gender. But if one of the reasons they felt like they could attack and get away with it in broad daylight was because the victim was a woman... Then misogyny in that case was at least in part be one of the motiv…

Mate, they're both as bad as each other. They try to make things safe and make relationships purely transactional. Removal of friendship, best part of a loving partnership. Sovereignty. You're not a country. Hypergamy. Listen to yourself. That's like me defining men as horn dogs, plenty of evidence to back it up. But it's not all that men are and it's disingenuous to say that. Once you start to define people like this it makes it easier to dehumanise them. It's not at all healthy. There's too mu…

Well, the only thing we do know for a fact is that they targeted and killed a woman. They likely stalked her, to be able to kill her in broad daylight. That does paint a picture. People are drawing conclusions early. They're assuming it was a man. We don't know that yet. If it was a man, and they stalked her... Well. I don't know much about murderers. I feel like I'm gonna get hammered now for asking you this but.. isn't a man murdering a woman fundamentally misogynistic? Like.. the most extreme example of it? Be hard to be more misogynistic. Unless she's a spy or something. If a man killed her, and we don't know yet who did. By definition it must be rooted in some sort of contempt or prejudice for her, and she's a woman... That's the height of misogyny. No? I don't agree with the ban, but I say some pretty contraversial shit myself. Just res…

I don't understand. Of course no one would ever marry someone who was awful? No one stands on the alter, looks into the eyes of their best friend in the world and says - I know you're a piece of shit. But I'm doing this anyway. I love you. As romantic as that sounds, I doubt it has happened.

Gonna need you to explain what you don't understand. So MGTOW and FDS try to create a way of thinking and rules to live by. They can both be fanatical, referencing previous point ( very anti women and anti men). I agreed with this and pointed out it's bizarre to create a group that is so against the opposite sex within the same species. However we feel about gender, hatred of the opposite sex is a bit bizarre when it's how we literally make more of us. And I described that as pigeon holed, like …

I think it's because she's so young, it was the middle of the day and she's a school teacher. So all her children will be in mourning too, it'll have to be explained to them. She was involved in the traditional Irish music scene aswel. So she was very integrated into the community. We often blame the victim in some way for these attacks. Normalise it so we feel safer. Ok, I had a look. And there was a big case last year, a woman killed three of her kids. But I'm not finding much else. Way more reports of abuse against women and men killing their children, their partner and themselves. Beyond that I am finding scholarly articles of infanticide in 18th century my country. Many involving children. 29 carried out by men. One carried out by a woman. She poisoned the dogs aswel. In my country it's men that are killing their children in this way. I don't know what ye're statistics are.
