Same with Nepali men, I stopped dating them the minute I moved here when i was 18, after 7 years of not dating them, i tried to give a nepali guy a chance and he was cheating on his gf with me, that made me so mad and turned me off Nepali guys forever!! Ughh. Im so happy for you, btw!

I think it applies to a lot more people than they think. Ever since Ive been going to therapy and working on this, I see this issue everywhere around me!

Can I DM you some questions? I think I am bisexual and I have no idea how to go/explore about it.

My mom told me when i was 11 “ I can’t wait for you to go to the US because no Nepali man will tolerate you, you need to find a white man” I did come to the US and I did realize that I actually dont want any Nepali man. I also had a 3 hr conversation with her about how she didn’t support such a strong brave child and all the horrendous things she said to me and what she should’ve said to me instead. She actually understood and apologized, it was such a heavy discussion, ughh.

Im from Nepal but live in philly, US and I have the same problem. Im slowly realizing most of my IRL friends (both guys and girls) are LV and it sucks as I am trying to elevate and be the best version of myself but its difficult when you dont have HV friends to support you! I feel you 😩

I was just thinking of this too, can we make it happen? My brother is a software engineer, should I ask him to get something started?

Sweeet! Get all your friends and family to join FDS, nepali culture needs a massive reform!!! My sister is in Nepal and i asked her to join reddit so she can join this page and know what to accept when she starts dating!!

Hiii! I have no idea how I found FDS ( i have crappy memory) but ive been lurking on here for a while. For the most part Nepal is very patriarchal, especially the older generation, both women and me . But even with the younger generation ive seen men not being comfortable with females and their sexuality, saying things like “i want a virgin or someone who doesnt sleep around” while fucking anything that moves themselves. In the older generation Its a lot of women allowing men to treat them badly…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
