The latter definitely. Unfortunately boring, average women still seem to desire excitement and as they aren't internally motivated to be "crazy and fun" then that responsibility falls on me.

Public nudity laws are in place to save the citizens from themselves and each other. There's already inane hysteria regarding "rape culture" without public nudity, allowing it would only add fuel to our already overly-litigious society.

Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, take a gander at a couple of threads where we've already discussed this. CMV: TRP actively engages in confirmation basis TBP: Why is basing sexist Red Pill beliefs on Confirmation Bias so critisized by you guys?

So then men should have the choice to opt out before the child is born, rather than a woman having the unilateral decision on whether the child is born.

Uhm, no, I'm not going to cater my responses to protect the feelings of people You shouldn't have to cater your responses to anyone. That's the whole point TRP makes to men, expectations of women be damned. You don't owe anyone more than the most basic level of civility.

To answer the titular question: Why do TRPillers insist that women shouldn't be attracted to looks? The only ones that shouldn't are the body positive sort but I think we all know that they are completely hypocritical.

I see. Even then it seems that the two are trying to make the case that women don't objectively see the "beauty" in a man, or even subjectively related to physical features and preferences as men do in women but develop a sense that a man is attractive to them based solely on how he makes them feel. It's an interesting concept but not one that I'd feel comfortable backing at this time.

Where is it said that TRP insists women should or shouldn't do anything? 1- it's a subreddit that describes the general actions of women as is. Then tells men the best way to use these actions and tendencies to their advantage. 2- It's a subreddit specifically for men.

I'd say objectively she's an 8-9, however personal taste largely overshadows this. For me personally she comes across as a 6 because I don't care for white women and she is too petite for my tastes. I might bump it up to a 7 for the large eyes and dark hair.

When they try? That's their choice. It's my choice whether I choose to tolerate that behavior. There are a great many things I don't like, but that doesn't matter- ruminating on something I can't change is foolish.

This has been documented before. An essential characteristic of those TRP would define as blue pill (not the sub) is not taking responsibility for themselves and finding any outside source to blame for their situations/problems.

If reality is a constant, why is it different for everyone? Because not everyone has the same cognitive capabilities and the experiences as you describe affect the perceptions of the individual. Birds fly and fish swim- that's all they know. Do they somehow change reality? Have they altered the laws of physics?

It could account for many of them, as the more likely situation is that they have a low SMV and they are unwilling to take the necessary steps to improve that- that's how the description of stage three MGTOWs comes across. The other way to look at that however is that the joys/comfort they get from their incel lifestyle are preferable to the work required to improve their SMV. Otherwise, conceptualize a man who grew up a stereotypical neckbeard, found TRP and actually took the time to dress bett…

First, you cannot give any more fucks about how other people see/judge you. That leads to a mindset where you will be afraid to act and hold frame if it seems like "something a cripple should not be able/allowed to do". In my opinion one of the best responses in this thread. In a dating context most of the obstacles we perceive exist only in our heads.

Reality is the perception. You have it backwards, our perceptions shape our view of reality. We unconsciously digest the information we detect which either confirms or refutes our previous notions. Coincidences are just that. I'll give you an example that I am pretty sure you will be able to tie to something that has happened in your own life. The situation is plausible, the connection isn't at all. That is precisely what I'm talking about: magical thinking. Your perception that the causation of…

What I am saying is that your expectations create your true experience I get what you're saying, but the only way we alter reality to fit our expectations is via hamstering, to use the local term. Anyone can lie to his/herself and after long enough truly believe them. Keeping in mind that to some degree it's also possible to misread cues and attribute something that happens to an incorrect cause, and of course our expectations can alter our choices but reality doesn't bend to our whims- only our…

What's the purpose of life in your opinion? The purpose of life is survival, however in the first world that's not a worry for the majority. Aside from that, there is no purpose. We ultimately create our own reality.... But how is that different from any other preference? Some people don't want to date people of other races, some people don't want to date fat people, or short people, or the mentally handicapped. It's not shaming, it's simply a preference as others have said. Your poor self esteem made you feel ashamed.

Never heard this to the point where it could be attributable to a whole category of people within my groups of friends. I've never heard anything similar during my school years either but now in my 30s there's little chance that I'd want anything to do with virgins.

Anyone else encounter this? I didn't have sex until I was 20 and in the military. I'd had a couple of girlfriends and orbited several more over the time from puberty to graduation but was too beta/needy at the time to be a worthwhile boyfriend. You don't believe in love? I believe in "love" like I believe in "happiness": feelings that are consequences of chemicals in our brains. They are fleeting and still occur because they push us to procreate. We all crave to feel something so deeply it changes who we are.... Perhaps, but as children we also entertain notions of rabbits leaving us chocolate and fairies paying for baby teeth. Just because people grow to adulthood doesn't mean their beliefs and desires are any more rooted in reality. …

Yes that's why I don't know why TRP is built on the idea that all women share the same ideas and beliefs and behaviors. Because we see (based on our own experiences and aggregated data in the form of not only TRP field reports but also similar accounts across the manosphere and in talking male peers) these behaviors. The severity of the behaviors is the only thing up for debate. They certainly exist minimally for the majority. Are there other, nicer assumptions that could also be made? Absolutel…

Are there certain people that crack you open and you don't really have control over how you feel about them? We all have "buttons" that can be pressed. Everyone is vulnerable to manipulation, whether it is intentional or not. The danger is misinterpreting someone's ability to manipulate you as being an indication that you are somehow linked by imaginary notions like love or fate. They fall to magical thinking and completely disregard reality. I used to think it was involuntary with some people. …

Understood and women don't suck per se (taking the high road on this one). Many of them have tendencies for behaviors we wouldn't tolerate in other men. I think that's likely the majority of it. I can't speak for women but the longer you live and the more you interact with people you realize that it is foolish to assume that most people are like you or share your ideas and beliefs (a reason the "Golden Rule" has been mostly replaced by the "Platinum Rule") however when you're young it's easy to …

There are still feelings, and letting go still sucks but just as you have to have enough willpower to keep eating right and exercising you also have to learn to control how much you're willing to leave yourself open emotionally to another person. Letting TRPers forget that the world hates them and is brutally against them Even without the MRA tagged topics not a day goes by that there isn't a reminder that men get a raw deal in the dating arena- it's part and parcel of almost every post. Again, TRP is described as an area to help men realize their sexual goals. MRAs are ineffective and come off as "whiners." They don't even make the progress that bat-shit insane feminists do.

I feel like it's a main selling point of TRP - women are just inherently untrustworthy, whereas men are simply "primal beings". I have no idea what you are talking about with "primal beings." Sounds like some New Age BS. As far as trustworthiness in the context of a LTR, you can never fully trust a woman, but you can trust a woman to be a woman (i.e. Briffault's and hypergamy). Having said that, it's a safe bet although it is setting the bar very low, low enough that better women may surprise yo…

Jesus all those ONS's would be more work than just sustaining one LTR It's really not. With ONSs and FWBs they don't see you enough to get over the "newness." You're perpetually in the pre-honeymoon phase and once the "honeymoon is over" so to speak you just next them. I've found it's almost always better to "next" someone you've begun having to make compromises with rather than consistently settle (even if both of you have to).

Let me go ahead and correct dragoness_leclerq's statement so it's not (yet another) strawman: The effort I've put forth to improve my SMV has various applications. While hitting the gym and being more active helps to improve attractiveness it also improves my health and most other leisure activities I have. Continuing education helps me make more money (certifications, etc) that improve my SMV, but it also helps me improve job performance. In a nutshell, the effort I'm willing to expend has to s…

That's a very naive viewpoint. Husbands are involved in this as well. How does this negate the risk? The fact is 72% of women file for divorce regardless of who did what. The fault doesn't need to be unilateral. The action taken is largely unilateral, and the man doesn't have a choice if his wife files for divorce.

I want to know if men literally just want to have sex with as many attractive women as possible or if there is some sort of cut off? What is the goal? Personally, my goal is to have sex with a variety of different women, at my leisure, without the effort required to maintain a relationship.

How are men that sleep around "a lot" better eventual partners than women who sleep around "a lot"? Other than the requirement to be skilled sexually whereas women only need to be available, I'm not entirely sure sleeping around is a mark of quality for anyone as far as relationship value goes. How are men any more in control of their impulses to cheat or just overall better relationship material than women, given the same history? I missed where this has been asserted. Coddling men in the "anger phase" by allowing them to freely rant. It may be necessary, but it isn't constructive and IMO should have its own subreddit. MRA topics- the point of TRP isn't to change society, but to become successful despite society. Any and all threads pointing out alpha, beta, etc influences, examples, and behaviors from movies, television, books- any fictional source.

Where would a person find this information in the pre Internet age? Books if you were too squeamish to approach another person; mature men who appear to be successful with women if you weren't afraid of speaking to strangers I think you basically had to be lucky and have a player uncle or something to teach you this stuff back then. That would have been easier, certainly.

Women's inability to rate themselves accurately is just another sign of their immaturity, reinforcing the notion that they are the "most responsible teenagers in the house." The simply lack the ego integrity to be truthful with themselves. It is expected.

The bottom line is one works and the other does not. The difference between how non-TRP males have been successful with women and how TRP-minded males have been successful with women is that the latter group has to at least start out being mindful of the tactics they use until the point that "the game" becomes second nature, whereas the former group have naturally come by their own tactics. The strategies themselves serve the same purpose.

First off, it's a platitude which I know blue pillers love and revere, but they are not descriptive enough to be helpful. Secondly, many aspects of PUA tactics and RP's prescription of them aren't "nice" (negging; dread game, strategies for overcoming various shit tests) but they are very effective in assisting men to get sex from women.

No one in your life could have given you decent advice That's simply not true. From TRP's sidebar the information available has been out there for sometimes hundreds of years. It just isn't (now, nor will it likely ever be) socially acceptable. That doesn't mean it isn't available, or that the wisdom behind it isn't more widely known than is ever mentioned in polite society.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/15 08:55 AM

I'd hardly call TRP a crash course. You have to realize that no BP'er has the understanding of TRP that someone who has immersed himself in it does and as such they rely on their imagined, Bogeyman-esque idea of TRP as presented at TBP. It would be similar to an astronomer and astrologer having a conversation about the stars.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/15 08:08 AM
2

I get that, but if you are a 3, you can still date your fellow 2s and 3s. That's not necessarily true. It has already been shown that women tend to rate men much more harshly than men judge women. Women also tend to rate themselves as more attractive than they really are, and have myriad ways of tricking men to make them appear more attractive than they actually are (spanx, makeup, etc). Even ugly women are hypergamous- to think they'd settle for someone at a similar SMV is laughable.

TRP has helped me quite a bit in streamlining the process to getting satisfying sex. The guidelines/sidebar material helped me to understand why women do what they do and has helped me to have realistic expectations from them. In addition the field reports have helped me identify locations and tactics that work well for me- some I may never have thought of myself. Overall it has taken a lot of the guesswork out of dating and helped me eliminate ineffective behaviors.

I'm arguing for the part of compassion that says you must feel the way the other person does. Pay better attention. People value the sentiment and comfort you give them, whether or not you actually feel the same thing they do doesn't matter and generally trying to insinuate you do can easily come off as insensitive and offensive if your perception of their feelings is wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/14 06:34 PM

I'm actually arguing that most people who claim to empathize lack the capacity and lie about it to appease perceived social pressure. Even people who share a common experience won't perceive it in exactly the same way because a lot of that is cultural.

2

If a man is happy being in a relationship with a dominant woman and find sexual and emotional fulfillment in being of service to her, is there really anything wrong with that? TRP isn't about judging people's relationships- they will tell men what actions or inactions are causing them to fuck up their relationships. Asking if something is good or bad is a value judgment and TRP isn't about getting into morality issues.

we can use Elliot Roger against you You can but as usual you'll be completely wrong. Rogers has been pointed out as staunchly anti-PUA and PUA is one of the main contributors to TRP strategies.

It's not about admonishing women, it's about pointing out to men what behaviors in women coincide with poor relationships and greater chance of divorce. Just because they say things that don't reflect well on women doesn't mean that they intend for women to see these things as do's and don't's- it's one of the things TRP is consistently right about- women can't bear to not be the center of attention. Everything has to be about them.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/14 07:59 AM

Except it's not. Men were never saying hey, let's get generally physiologically weaker people in one of the few areas that still value physical strength. The military is just another career path that some women wanted to get into and the government bowed to the social pressure. Apples and oranges.

Values are inconsequential as well. We're talking about sexual strategies. Morals, ethics, and values are entirely outside the realm of TRP. Those are issues BPers want to harp on.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/14 06:39 AM

Completely beside the point. What a woman regrets after the fact is inconsequential. The fact is that many of them can't come to the same realization when they are caught up in the tingles.

Which might be provable if you could actually pick out someone following TRP strategies from sight alone, but the ones who are proficient don't give obvious tells. But don't let me interrupt the world that only exists in your head.

Once you prove to them you're not the type to "kiss and tell" LMR goes away. It's disappointing when you have to convince women to do what they want to anyway- really kills the mood.

It's not as big of a deal on the internet. So long as they don't post identifying themselves as women as if it's some qualification or post beta views then there's no disruption as there would be in a physical location where women would disrupt the environment simply for being a woman.

As someone in the medical field who works with Child Protective Services I see cases of abused children at the hands of their mothers often. One of the reasons it isn't publicized is because 8/10 times (guestimated) it's classed as postpartum depression and medical treatment is sought rather than there being legal repercussions. Men don't have that particular get-out-of-jail-free card.

Possibly- I can't speak for all RPers, but my purpose for being here is to try to discuss gender issues with people of differing beliefs. As it's called Purple Pill Debate it makes sense that there will be people trying to argue in an attempt to win at being right. That's a little too neurotic and try-hard for my tastes.

I tend to check back every week or so to see if there are any worthwhile posts or even just some original content instead of the same posts rehashed by people that weren't around to read it the first time. I feel as if I've gotten everything I could use already from TRP. I identify as redpill because I do believe many of the basic TRP premises however the actual subreddit has become a caricature of itself and is usually not worth reading aside from entertainment value.

Be thankful you're a man. I definitely am- just because women have some advantages that get brought up ad nauseum at TRP doesn't mean that women don't get a raw deal. To be valued primarily for your looks and genitalia and to be treated with kid gloves until those looks fade- then the kid gloves come off and you just have to learn to live with it? Sounds far worse than just being treated as disposable by default.

I don't doubt that people (regardless of pill) get emotional comfort from having pets- particularly if they aren't in a relationship. I'd be stressed to hell if I didn't have a cat. As far as sexual needs go it's women or masturbation only. The latter is far more convenient but the former can be a zesty enterprise.

But I figure if it works for people, that's a good indication that TRP is correct about a lot of it. You'll find over time that the actual ideas TRP espouses are rarely the issue- it's always the language/tone. Blues won't swallow a pill that tastes bad.

Women are fickle, they go with whatever "feels right". This; which is why you have to take whatever women say in "Cheaters, why did you cheat" Askreddit posts with a grain (and likely a shaker) of salt- because the accounts listed are post-hamster and likely reflect very little that factually occurred.

Unattractive people will always be disadvantaged. Some of them just get a raw deal, like the birth defect kids whose parents were so selfish as to make a kid go through that. When "real discussion" consists of trying to alter the language used or to make content more palatable to the masses it is, in fact concern trolling. Off the top of my head, my guess is that it is because PUA doesn't come across as genuine. But certainly those people with less natural ability in seduction have to start somewhere. The problem with this, as pointed out in another thread is that these actions are only classified as manipulation when it is something a person is using as part of an artificial strategy (negging in particular, possibly more covert forms of dread). When a person naturally behaves this way it's given a pass. This inconsistency causes terps to see bluepers citing manipulation as crying wolf.
