Where is my hypocrisy? I believe in the safeguards we have which will ensure this woman is judged fairly, reasonably and objectively. Our whole legal system is built on objectivity and predictability.

I'm a law student. I know more about the practice of thattheiry than the layperson. She and the victim's advocate will have opportunity to appeal any decision not judged objectively.

As a legal positivist, if they are accused of rape and are found not guilty then they didn't rape the person. I dislike the absolutist nature of this headline.

OP is saying it's better to acknowledge a desire and control it rather than stick yiur head in the sand and pretend there's a magic switch when someone turns 17 which makes them sexually appealing.
