It's just fluff about rich people. Most people can't afford to be a single-income family let alone afford to be a single-income family living in upscale neighborhoods in NYC.

that's a valid point. What if person A takes a salary cut so person B can double their salary (such as, moving to a new location)? Collectively this is a good move. Should person A be screwed later on if they decide to split up?

I've never been a fan of giving out scholarships based solely on race or gender (although I do understand that it may be necessarily under certain conditions to encourage people and kind of "get the ball rolling"). However, if we're going to give out scholarships not based solely on academic merit, then socio-economic considerations should be more important than race or gender. It trivializes the important things...and really, stuff like this starts to edge closer to silliness like that whole changing "woman" to "womyn" or like to correct you that it's not "mankind" it's "womankind" or the women on reddit…

What's more important, trying to change unfair custody laws that keep men from seeing their kids after a divorce, or raging about "ladies' night" at the bar? For me I say, damn those bitches not paying a cover! <rolls eyes>

Yeah, this sounds like a really good strategy. It may also be worth it to bring up during the meeting, in front of all the other parents, that the superintendent made veiled threats and tried to intimidate you for simply trying to make conditions between for your child and the other children that had to wait in front of the school. If I were a parent of a child at that school, I'd be very annoyed at the way the superintendent behaved, since it obviously shows he/she doesn't give a shit about the…

I don't think you quite understand how nanotechnology works.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
