I love how the author uses case studies as damning evidence. Case studies are ways to look at things that are so uncommon that actual studies cannot be preformed, such as savant syndrome. By using case studies the author is essentially able to cherry-pick things and prevent them as fact. The only problem with this is the author is shortchanging herself by applying this to generalizations. Basically she is saying "Look at these examples, they prove women are discriminated against broadly in tech.…

Even if she were to sign something before, she can just later claim that she revoked it midway and the man didn't stop. Thus women would have to sign before and after saying consent was given. But even that wouldn't matter as she could just claim signing under duress. There really is no way to prove consent without actual video evidence.

Another contributing factor that I see could be the bias in scholarships/Affirmative action. Because of the bias there It is easier to get into and go to college as a woman because of all the organizations that back women attending college. Then if its harder for men and easier for women, A higher percentage of men with high IQ will have to be present because without that advantage of increased intelligence, that man would be less likely than an equivalent woman to go to college.
