I was always ready to leave her if I thought something was wrong. Like I said, I’m more naturally red than most. Remember, if your gut is telling you to dump her, just go. THAT was my mistake, I waited.

This is amazing. Main thing I’ve learned from a similar experience and from this post: if it feels like a red flag, it is one. Any rationalization is hamstering.

One little trick, fitness coaches will hate you! Just kidding, you know the answer. You’re 29, quit smoking weed and lift when you know you should.

To a loser, everyone doing better than them is immoral, and everyone doing worse is lazy. To a winner, everyone doing better than them is an inspiration, and and everyone doing worse just needs inspiration. Don’t concern yourself with them, learn from them. And once you’re out of the house, do all the things you want to. Be the guy who shows up to the family parties with a different hottie every time. It’ll piss them off more than anything else ever could. “Live well, it is the best revenge.” Go…

Nice job so far. Don’t listen to your feels; I went through the EXACT same thing. It will NOT get better. She wants to be happy more than she wants you to be happy. And her happiness relies on you being sexually stifled and miserable. She’s now realizing you’re way more valuable than she is. But once you get back together, it’ll be same shit, different day. Trust me. Be strong, OP. 7 years is a lot to let go of, but it’s for the best.

You’ve found the right place, friend. This is one of the few parts of the internet that is almost entirely dudes who used to suck at life that helped each other reform and become successful. It’s a culture like no other; fuck the getting laid part, TRP is the greatest self-help group I’ve ever been a part of. In keeping with that spirit, no one here will coddle you and say you’re doing fine or whatever when you clearly aren’t satisfied. That’s the good news, now here’s the better news: You can c…

If you’re doing it right, it really shouldn’t be that hard. Focus on yourself, work your ass off 5-6 days/week, and on Saturday go to a bar or something. You can’t be productive 24/7, the downtime is pretty much for pussy. Don’t sweat it so hard.

Have you ever seen the Wolf of Wall Street? That scene where his wife reveals the divorce? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ltyfnY9VoZw How callous she is? Uncaring? How helpless he feels? The first time I saw it was before my first real full blown oneitis LTR. She was honestly pretty good as an LTR, nothing to cry over losing (though trust, I did then). Anyway, it was her complete unwillingness to work through any of our small issues once she “checked out” that killed me. It wasn’t until I saw thi…

Most important thing you noted is circumstance. Dudes don’t realize half the game is the illusion of value, 48% is circumstance, and 2% is actual “game.” If you lift and spit perfect game but you just get unlucky, nothing will help you. Don’t take it personal. This guy acknowledges that if he lived 20 mins away it probably wouldn’t have worked - fuck, Billy Beta could’ve ruined the whole thing. His fault? Nope. Take rejection, take the PROSPECT of rejection in stride.

I've described frame to my non-RP friends as maintaining your sense of self throughout all interactions despite the siren's call of any temporary emotions. Frame is like a rock in the middle of a violent river. The water (your emotions) can come crashing and rushing with enough force to carry you away, but if you stay on that sturdy rock, you'll be fine. Most people just jump right in.

I used to be in the same boat. Created a great system. Do a circuit: Pull ups to failure push ups to failure flutter kicks to failure (or 250, whichever comes first) tuck jumps to failure repeat this circuit between 4+ times (my number was 8) and you’ll see serious results

Oh man, that’s the worst. My remedy is to wait a full day (that’s the hard part). That day is my emotional, being a little bitch day. The next day is my “being real” day. I write down a list of all the things she did that bothered me. A lot of them are obscured in the post-break afterglow, a LOT of them, and it’s because we men are apt to fall into unconditional type love. Puppy love. Ok, so now your list of bad traits are all written down. Cool. Now watch the Wolf of Wall Street. Seriously. Do …

ha, appears your father taught you well. don’t get carried away. you’re assertive, you aren’t special. people respect the assertion, not you; as such, that’s what you should be cultivating and learning to control. if you don’t, it’ll come back to bite you. promise. honestly, if you want to see how to be assertive with proper balance of stoic and angry, watch Pacino’s performances in either of the first two Godfathers. key points to look for: don’t raise your voice too often, it becomes trivial a…

It’s never too late. And you aren’t even close to never. You’re 38, I’m sure you have plenty of life experience under your belt, on top of a good career and social skills. All you need at this point, as cheesy as it is, is to believe in yourself. If you want an LTR, find someone you click with (not just “an 8”), understand that it’ll be hard, and try to create an unbreakable frame (that seems to be what you’re lacking). Will you fail a few times? Almost definitely. The average millionaire goes b…
