That's so unusual. Amazing. Did you end up connecting with the next girl, the one watching the experience from afar?

interesting. you're not addicted to what you want ... you're open to experiences and feeling what comes. Do you ever get humiliated?

I did the experiment. It felt pretty good. I think doing things that I'm proud of, seeking those things out, will give direction to me, and increase confidence. You raised some insight. Thank you, and for sharing your experience with self-hatred. It's amazing what messages believed can do to ourselves. I mean, look at me. I never thought that I could believe anything else than I was a loser. But not believing that feels good. I like it. I'm a little afraid of making a mistake and ... it just fee…

Same. Looking for anger is the Sith way. It’s better to allow yourself to feel what you feel without addiction to one over the other. Anger passes, but wrath abides.

A loser. I can do some things better than others, but I always tend to find something to feel ashamed about. Or do something to feel ashamed about. That part I can control. And one day maybe the other will fall in line.

That's great man! I'm happy for you. Do you wanna fast together? I've known I should fast. But I don't. I think I would like to have a brother in this with me. What kind of fast are you looking at? Something spontaneous to carry as far as you can? A week? And what kind of lifestyle are you prepared to adopt during this fast? Fasting and prayer can rout the demons as Jesus said. What is the Holy Spirit telling you?

This is the mistake I've made with my blood father, who is not Christian but pretends he is. This is an interesting approach, because all my pointing out glaring facts does is infuriate him and cause him to go full psycho. Let Christ convict him. What are some practical ways you do this? How do you get someone to think about playing basketball when they're quarterback for the NE Patriots? How do you encourage that kind of 'insanity' when they think that their prayer is actual prayer? Like, I thi…

I don't know what u/same_letter is talking about w/ respect to pride. Sounds like he misread you, and if he comes back guns blazing then maybe it's him not you. Unless you really ARE prideful about it, but I didn't get that from what you wrote. My kid blood brother has embraced his homosexual inclinations. You don't have to embrace yours. With homosexuality there's a lot of distinctions you can make. One that can help is that homosexuality isn't about identity but about inclinations or leanings.…

Great question. Great topic. I'm staying with my blood father for another year and a half finishing a degree. Once I move out, I'll never live with him again, and I don't see any reason why I should pursue a relationship with him. He's a mean person and emotionally uncaring. I wouldn't be able to deal with his BS and total denial about it (he is incorrigibly convinced he's a Christian and lives the right way). We aren't defined by our sins after Jesus enters our life (unless we turn away and emb…

The meaning of life isn’t not sinning. The meaning of life is God. All of us who are leaving sin are doing so out of respect to God’s mercy, conviction, and goodness: and all of who He is. What is wrong with sin? Is it really so bad? Yes. It corrupts our real identity, something that actually exists and was created by God. The reason your brother and my blood brother sin in homosexuality is because that behavior is what the devil uses to destroy beauty and bring about death. I’ve seen some testi…

Wow thanks for sharing your story. Please don’t delete it; leave it up for others to read so we can see that these problems adjusting to society exist in Christian culture too. I come from a similar past, although much more from abuse and psychological torment. Can identify w molestation. That made it easy to slip into a long history of sex addiction. Now I make less than you do, am fit and “smart”, but have destroyed most of my life. I’ve also contemplated suicide. But I’ve come a long way (am …

To obey God rather then (red pilled) men ... It’s easy to give up and think we’re on a secret path to fulfillment. But the whole pattern of red pill behavior is evil. Here’s the pattern: Guy worships girl Girl proves to be mortal and hurts BP tool Guy still wants to “get laid” but is mad girl won’t have character Guy plans to change who he is to get girls he never liked so he can have sex Guy ends up unhappy and less himself Most RP guys are just BP men who changed their ways. OP isn’t suggesting your straw man argument of “ bottling up emotion or fear of wife leaving you”. For example, the solution isn’t to suppress feelings; it’s not to share them w a woman (other then your mother) and share them w appropriate channels. That is very different from what you identified as his solution, an identification which if correct would strengthen your objection. But since you misread what he said, it makes you look careless. Not judging, been there done that. But as in math, RT…

you're a good kid to be hurt. others here will trash your vulnerability as naivete, but it's okay. it's okay to be hurt. it doesn't make you less a human; if anything, feeling pain makes you more so. I'm not saying try to feel pain for its own sake, but the pain reminds you how close you were. And it's through pain we can learn to mature. To make wiser decisions in the future. These are the consequences of sexual intercourse with strangers. You never know what you’re gonna get, but generally someone DTF right away is messed up to begin with. I speak for a minority’s, but once you realize what a woman can do to you, you either get afraid and refuse to change your behavior, or you change your behavior and grow some standards and stop fearing what a woman can do. When you do right, when you treat people the way you’d want to be treated, when you have good intent, bad thi…

A better option than expecting to encounter a psychic here: ask her. An even better option: enjoy the mystery. You don’t have to know why. Get to know her instead a little. If your life is not complete without a woman, you will never be happy with one anyway.

The meaning of meekness today compared to the Greek word which is its origin is about as different as Grima Wormtongue from Aragorn. Meekness today is slavish, insane, death-dealing, and ignorant. In the old days it was wise, patient, unflappable, and slow to wrath.

Yes; thou shalt second guess thyself is the unspoken zeroth commandment. I was just in a conversation with a leader who tells me I must be sacrificing for God; I literally told him that God is my fuel source and life, and that he wants to be the vine and me the branch- not the other way around like so many people I’ve dealt with. And while he said he was skimming, he said he could not disagree with me more. Exasperating

And the sad thing is I have no other friends who are married who deal with things right. These young boys just get married and become total mindslaves. There’s no one to vent this to! Sex brings people closer together. You should never have fucked her. Now your bodies are together even though your minds are resisting. Your feelings tell the truth as you see it. Maybe you care about her more than you’re willing to admit. Or maybe you’re a piece of trash who just hooks up with his best friend and doesn’t care about her at all after that. Or want to.

It’s everywhere in church. I literally can’t hang out with my guy friends who’ve been married because they always need to ask their wives’ permission first. I'd like to drop in my 2 cents here with you and u/red-curious. There is a clear difference between loving the person and distancing oneself from the sin. The church has always expressed disdain for sinners who celebrate the sin. A homosexual should be welcome at church. One who celebrates this sin and flirts with other men, expects the other men to high-five him for this behavior, and get married in church ought to reconsider what he's trying to be a member of. Either you're aware you're shifting topics, or you just wanted to brigade ahead with your own ideas that are spuriously relevant. Maybe 25 years of not starting a relationship with a woman has caused you to forget how much easier, convenient, and healthy it is to find someone who crosses off bottom line needs for a relationship, than randomly hooking up with someone, getting one-itis, and trying to convert her to Jesus as a white knight crusade. Feel free to try. Six to ten months from now when you're single and angry at God instead of yourself, maybe you'll remember this. I'm no better than you are, rookie, i did exactly the same thing, thought the same thoughts, explained it the same way you did. you know, RP would probably recommend OYS rather than retaliation. like, lift for one. make your wife envy you, be jealous of you, be afraid of losing you, etc. Kick ass in your other areas in life. When your wife kicks you down, and you either flip out on her or believe her, you've shown yourself to be her subordinate psychologically. when she has your emotions wrapped around her little finger, don't kid yourself who's really in charge. it may feel powerful to retaliate, and sometimes it actual…

you really want a woman into Jesus? get a new girlfriend, rookie. you don't evangelize your lover. you accept her for who she is. you'll never be able to share the deepest part of yourself with her, and she will never ever once truly understand why you do what you do. dating someone and then making them a project to turn into a Christian will never work. Conversion is the work of the holy spirit, not you and not me.

idk about that interpretation. Could be. Might not. But remember: logical positivism does not prevail in Scripture. Just because something is in the Bible doesn't mean it's kosher. Look at Judges 19 and there's not even a real denunciation of any of that from the skyward vault of heaven. So, does that mean it's cool to play Dexter w the hoes in this day and age? why anyone would want to be less horny is a denial of their masculinity. There is nothing wrong with being highly sexed. What is wrong is wanting to suppress who you are. Eliminating sexual thoughts is a waste of time. What is better is to pray, give sexuality up to God, and to let yourself think what he allows you to think when you're sitting in Abba's lap and safe from evil. It amazes me why "be yourself" is not acceptable in Church these days, and it explains why so many people think that Christianity panders to pretenders. If a person is not a Christian, then the formula would help them tell the truth. If a person is a Christian, they're one with Christ, so being themselves and being authentic is actually moral.

There may be more going on here than meets the eye. It is quite possible that your man does not want to marry you, does not want to marry period but still wants to be together with you, or just doesn't know how to express some different kind of nuanced feeling. In either case, your best bet is to apologize and let it go, and he'll bring it up when he's ready. There's nothing more annoying than having a woman talk about marriage before it's right. Two thoughts: First, one of the major changes that came over me was to become at peace with wherever his will takes me, to stop looking for "signs" that I'll either remain single or get married, or whatever. To be happy with God, and learn to relate to him first, and really him only. As I'm reading The Book of Pook, it's helping me to consolidate what exactly i've been looking for from a woman. To want her to validate my feelings, understand what I've been through, provide a shelter for me, and …

Each of masculinity and femininity is a node of polarity on the sexuality spectrum. In my experience, it's not just big breasts, pink or tight clothing, a short skirt, or lovely windswept hair. I remember when in college and getting to know a butchy gal from the softball team. She was bi, and painted her nails pink so as to seem girlier than she really was. You can shove feathers up your butt, as Tyler said, but that doesn't make you a chicken. Femininity is a spirit. A spirit that is continuous…

You bring up a solid point. In war, killing is different from murder. Malice, however, plays a big role in the individual conscience of a soldier. So does bloodlust. I think in my case, God is more concerned about my heart than the formal appearance of things. So I'm beginning to look inside myself than outside at systems that people really don't understand, and that make a person go mad than be at peace. There is no excuse for masturbation; it's self-defilement and I know well the psychopatholo…

I was out with this girl, walking around town. We were laughing and playing around, it was a good date, we'd just heard some live music from a local artist and shared a beer and a light dinner together. As we pass by a piano store, she gets this arch look on her face and proceeds to tell me a story. FIrst words out of her mouth were "I told you I was married twice, right?" There are at least two reasons why only God’s approval can satisfy us. First, his comes from the inside while others’ comes from the outside. Second, once you really get to know another person’s flaws and see them as they really are, odds are you’ll see they’re no better or worse than you. I have looked all my life for approval from others so I really can speak to this. It will make you crazy. RP Christian here. The best way to move forward is to let it go. I'm not saying fold your legs into a lotus position and try to think positively about this backstabber. Even Jesus says "forgive your enemy", not "force yourself to think everyone is nice even when they're not". Jesus himself permits us to have enemies. You don't have to own a corporation, be a spellbinding lobbyist, or run the White House in order to do little things here or there to set back the devil. This is really interesting. I also knew that Eldredge wrote in feminine style. He's a faux-transcendentalist, in the tracks of Thoreau and Emerson but very certainly ways and ways behind them. None of his imagery is concrete, there are too many adverbs and adjectives, and the sense that he's in a state of delirious rapture whilst dancing his quill across the parchment gets stale after about the tenth platitude about the airy hills of Montana or the spiny nettles in the Southeast. Only he'd use s…

You write beautifully and truthfully. Sounds like a good mission. Are you doing that because you love God, or hate feminism? One way I have found to expose feminism is to expose bad women. I've been there. It's strange that when one doesn't care about using others, one ends up not caring about being used, too. I don't think someone with self-esteem and knowledge of one's true worth would use someone else, because that entails using oneself to use someone else.

Equality is not something that came without men's approval. I find that there is a proportional weakness in men that is associated with empowerment of women. Men have believed for a long time that they cannot get by without a woman leading them. They marry a strong woman to keep up the familiar, and the cycle repeats itself. As a man, it is on me to act in a way that disregard…

I'm in the middle of a Stefan Molyneux video on Che Guevara and what is so interesting is that he comes from money. Like Marx he is bourgeois. Something you said reminded me of a word of wisdom a father of sorts said to me a while ago. He was discussing children, how they are the most perceptive people on the planet, but also the worst interpreters. The child can sense when anything is wrong, but the question the child asks is usually, "What does that say about me?" rather than objectively viewing the situation. I've been considering bulking up, so thank you for sharing this half hour routine. While I can't find the exact paper on type-1 and -3 muscle tissue development, here is an article which at least rehashes the arguments and refers to type-2 tissue directly. This is another article which interestingly takes your skeletal system and advises a muscle-training program tailored to your baseline anatomy. I think this is wise on two grounds: first it eliminates overtraining (except in mesomorphs) and se…

Wow, instructive material here, Red. Your 5x5x5 method reminds me of a paper I read years ago referring to a layer of deep muscle tissue below the standard two that older texts covered. You have the reps right. About five, no more than eight. I have a life filled with a lot of competing interests (society, music comp, university, prayer, meditation, and as you now know training for law school) so fitness while it has priority can't be 2 hours combined cardio, weights, and commute. I try to do so…

Sometimes a guy just wants to know you're there to talk and listen when he needs it. Maybe he won't open up right away, but if you create opportunities for him to open up you may find out some things. Carry humble expectations though. You're gonna fail. But that's the fun because you get to outsmart it too when it gets yanhere and there. Another thing is be prepared you might not hear everything you wanted to hear. This sounds like his gaming and your TV are just the surface of underlying opportunities for a closer relationship. You need to communicate beyond the "well if you want to game then let me watch my movies" or "is gaming even a real hobby". I sense there is a lot going on here beneath the surface. Questions of worth, you think he's choosing gaming over you and he cannot see anything important to do in reality right now. Maybe you guys are bored. I would like to say, thank you for sharing your experience with your wife. That was touching. I take it "LL" means 'low libido'? Contextual reading indicates it means some sort of self-inflicted penalty, probably sexual in nature. I ask because I once thought LOL meant lots of love. With these complex and delicate scenarios, with a greatly nuanced morality, and with so much risk in marriage that just the two of us identified, is it any wonder that the disciples then asked in exasperation "who then can marry?" (Or "it is better not to marry!") Good points all around. One clarification I'd like to submit regarding Abraham: perhaps posterity has not termed his relations as sinful because they were outside marriage but because they materialized doubt in God. This would fit in with the more grand idea that these HB6-8s do this out of resentment against men preferring women marginally more attractive than them. Post facto revenge in a way. But also we need to consider that these women are smart and tired of being approached by PUAs and dweebs. I was watching a good looking guy on YouTube pretend to be a soccer star and approach women, and one cruelly told him to fuck off repeatedly when he was just playing around and having fun. I'd like to chime in. Many do not want to judge by the law in order to seem justified. I think this takes a disparaging view of Man. Rather those who look to the law rather than themselves seek for justification outside ourselves, presumably for a higher cause, although some may just be afraid to exact decision based on our own desire or discretion. I thought it would be useful in my perusal of sources to examine tradition in the Early church and within Judaism. We know our own mores, but are th…

You bring up a good point. "What's fake?" At least the kind of player you describe is honest. Nice guys have a double lie, in that they won't admit desire. What is fake, however, is that players seem to be fake people. Not that they have fake desires, but they don't seem to have hearts, they present a carefully constructed persona instead of a natural personality, and very often it seems interacting with them is just which mask I am talking to. You bring up valid points about integrating sexual desire into approach. But your advocacy flies into absurdity. Many men are indeed domesticated, but many are also professionals and plain old smart. You don't go sticking your pecker in some Jessica at the club ... precisely because you don't know anything about her. Except she's hot. Just because some woman is hot isn't a valid reason to sleep with her. It's a valid reason to approach, and definitely to feel aroused in her presence. But your ad…

The men who aver that women cannot change are projecting a belief of their own. In my opinion, people change all the time if they can get to the bottom of why they do what they do. Some men have been hurt so deeply and so badly, and do not forgive their perpetrators, that they write off women altogether. This stance is sad because it will result in a self fulfilling prophecy. What you did wrong was assume you were exceptional. You let arrogance get in the way. arrogance that he wouldn't do to you what he did to his wife to be with you. Any man who cheats on his own wife when he has kids involved cannot be trusted in anything he says or does. You were a fool. Because you thought you were different, that it couldn't happen to you. This is one reason why you shouldn't go after a married man. And that's the most selfish one and morally weakest. The other reason is you're…

Yes, that ability to manipulate, and the ruthlessness behind it, the need for someone to stay - begotten of a desperation which in a sick way is attempted to sanctify this manipulation ... it is evil. It is living backwards. An example is when a BPD is confronted over being controlling in a relationship. Since in the BPD's mind there is complete chaos, the BPD will never look at himself any deeper than a superficial glance. It's got to be the other one trying to control the BPD by bringing up an…

I highly doubt this.

Notwithstanding your uncompassionate attitude and complete disregard for tact, I will respond to this accusation for the benefit of any readers. Having had all nine criteria listed in the DSM that compose BPD (and you only need 5 of the 9 to qualify, while i had all 9), I can indeed say that yes, I am someone who can relate to ALL people who have BPD, since no one can have a case that is utterly foreign to my own. I say this not to victimize myself as someone who is suffering worse than any of y…

I like your questions. They show either the caring quality of someone who wants to help someone in BPD, or someone who either is BPD and looking for a way out, or someone who has BPD characteristics and is doing his or her best to "break out of those narratives". I will be truthful to you, as crazy as I'm probably going to sound, then. And it will be up to you to believe me or to dismiss my words as nonsense, immature, superstitious, or self-deceiving. But you won't be able to say that I am lyin…

You said something interesting in reply to my post. That you weren't aware that BPD could be reliably treated, "let alone cured". As far as my examination into psych journals and that area of academia goes, I'm 100% with you. This is for two reasons. First, and this is coming from experience, BPD is associated with paranoia. Therapists are seen as enemies and allies of parents (and sometimes they are), and other people are mistaken as the bad ones. Those with BPD see the world as this army of de…

I get your skepticism. To be honest, one doesn't just 'snap out of it'. Personality disorder goes too deep, and is too encompassing of the identity to be woken up from. So, if you think that's what I'm stating to people on here, then it's good for your to disagree. The truth cannot be further from that mistaken context, though. I'm no psychiatrist, but I recently went for a personality disorder interview, and I don't have one. Looking back on my life before meeting the Holy Spirit, and rememberi…

I will do my best to answer both questions, but the true answer will involve some context, and in part an anticipatory response to your second question. First, BPD is twofold. It's a condition of the classical 'heart', but also a distortion of the mind. In the case of 'cure', when Jesus Christ entered into my heart then the personality disorder disappeared. An inner sense of emptiness, not just an impression of emptiness but a true lack of any identity within or any 'rock' of who I am within me,…

Perhaps we should be more careful before exonerating personality-disordered people from their own villainy and callousness. It's easy to sympathize with the devil, and lemme tell you having once been BPD and having grown up child of a BPD mom, these people can be real monsters, despite all this 'understanding' going on in this PC culture. It's easy to look inside the psychology of a villain and rationalize why they do things, etc. The sad truth is that yeah, villains like BPD are suffering from …
