I was married until 46, so I can't compare it to anything prior but I'm having decent success. Obviously there are many factors but overall I'm happy with OLD.

I think negative people and experiences will always make up most posts and give this impression. As for me, I have honed in on what seems to work for me in regards to dating and I'm happy with the results.

Another angry post generalizing people.

This is why you filter out people that do some of what you mentioned. As for the cost of dating, yes, that can be tough but I normally do walks, coffee, etc in the beginning to offset that.

The penis tat in her cleavage should land her a good man.

Is having more bad options really better? As a man, there are times I disliked that OLD seemed like a ghost town but still prefer quality over quantity.

My opinion is they are the same.

Posts like these make me understand why so many people are single and miserable. Maybe look at it as a partnership where both are equal. Where 1 does not mean or bring more than the other.

I can't speak for those younger than me but I feel you're wrong on the 45+ women. That's my age bracket and I can assure you many want to date and be intimate. My GF is 45 and has an pretty impressive drive.

Here are more recommendations for you and others that are similarly minded: - Don't match with anyone with a social media handle in their profile. This is a red flag for me for the reason you stated. - Get your profile reviewed. Many do this on the dating subs and you'd be surprised how many people make a profile THEY think is good but not for their targeted audience. The advice I read is really good. If you aren't comfortable doing that, I would be happy to review in private. Just DM me pics of…

I think some make it too hard. They measure their success in likes, messages, etc instead of quality matches. The also stay online too long, get burned out and then come to reddit to complain.

I've always cared and had success, so I can't say I agree but I see the point.

If that's true, and I'm not saying it is, that's their choice.

I would say the bar is high for matching my effort and energy. If a woman can do that, we are good. Sadly, that rarely happens but I have found a few. So I guess I am disagreeing as I choose not to spend my time with anyone.

Chads are considered hot guys that use women for sex, sometimes get them pregnant and dump them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/22 08:25 PM
9

That suggests to me that she had her fun with the Chads in her younger days and knows they are garbage and need a good man as she is older. A huge turn off for me and a left swipe if I see it in an OLD profile (which I do). As to your question, I consider myself a nice guy but have more positive experiences with OLD.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/22 08:20 PM

OLD isn't the problem. It's the attitude of people using the apps. A new app won't change that.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 08:20 PM

LOL good point.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen09/05/22 04:14 PM

What surprises me is that it took 6 kids to get to this point. 6! Normally I see 3, 4 tops. Maybe she is more tolerant of the Chads.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen09/05/22 04:13 PM

Sad but true. If she is reasonably attractive, she will still find a man.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen09/05/22 03:36 PM

The bonus is that she put all the red flags up front to make a left swipe easier.

Why do people always say their kids come first when we already know it?

Why is she picky *now*?

As a guy with man boobs, I must disagree.

LOL I know. I was just being silly. I agree in general but I also feel rounding out a relationship includes the bedroom and it's OK to want that too.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/22 05:57 PM

Not sure I totally agree. If my GF wants to tie me up, whip and then take a dump on me, I'm telling her and you that we are not sexually compatible.

I have yet to use a hooker/call girl/whatever, but am happy dating. A few years ago I decided to grow thick skin and take breaks from OLD and it has helped tremendously. When I do date, we eventually get to the bedroom and that satisfies that part of me.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/22 03:19 PM

I see this on occasion and it's an immediate left swipe. Not sure why they feel this is a measuring stick for compatibility. If it were, they could just date someone in college, ensure they are a match and live happily ever after.

I have yet to see this but occasionally see it with age. They always say they can't change it yet could simply create a new account. All of these are hard swipe lefts for me.

She cycled through all the local Chad's and now wants a real man.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen20/03/22 05:16 PM

Understood. So you see the male representation here in the US with OLD. Best of luck to you!
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 04:27 PM
1

That's part of my OLD process - take regular breaks. I last 3 months max, drop off to do my own thing and come back when I feel ready. That can be 2 weeks or a few months. Just depends on what I have going on. Are you in Greece? If so, that tells me this isn't a US issue; rather a male one. Haha.

This is why I don't envy your side. Yes, you get more volume but the quality is seemingly low. I'm not sure that's better but I commend you for putting up with these men.

My single female friends have sent me some scary looking profile pics, so I can see this being true. For the ones that are not deranged, it amazes me that they look at these pics and think they are fine.

Some are predisposed to being overweight. It's not always being lazy. But it's in our best interest to be active.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 01:32 PM

Meh, I don't agree with all of this. I (50M) was heavier as a kid even though I was outside as much as the weather permitted. I will agree that some profiles (female ones too) are terrible. If you look at Bumble BFF, most guy profile pics look like mug shots and I can't understand how they don't know this. If these are the same pics they use on their dating profiles, I understand why they don't get much activity.

I've done way better than those odds.

I love it when they put out all their red flags so swiping left is easier. All kidding aside, I don't get most of this but the degree one specifically. I'm almost 100% self taught, have an amazing career and stable. This woman would swipe left on me and possibly miss out. Her loss.

Chad pumped and dumped.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen10/03/22 10:37 PM

They are pretty consistent in stating this.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen10/03/22 08:29 PM

It's also the reason so many want to see a body shot in a profile but it swings both ways. My female friends tell me men show up looking different than their pics in a profile. On a related note, a few months ago a married buddy was asking me if some women in OLD post only top down pics as he sees a female mutual friend do it all the time on social media. I replied with a yes and that I view it as a yellow flag. Not quite red but definitely something that may be done on purpose as it's arguably …

I would have swiped left at "finer things". The silver lining is that she puts her gold digger-ness up front.

Another profile telling us what she doesn't want or like instead of telling us about herself. I see this often even in my age range (40+).

The problem is the men she dates, not all men. Also: "A universal characteristic of insanity is inflexibly doing the same thing over and over while hoping for different results"

As a good man, I can tell you we are out there but probably get overlooked by those men. My recommendation would be to look for different traits . If these men are similar in certain aspects, maybe look for something different.

Any time I see the word "Queen" or "Goddess" I assume they want to be pampered and spoiled at my expense.

Wow that is terrible.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen07/05/21 09:21 PM

Wow. If there was ever a case for a hard left swipe, this is it. She hits on almost all the red flags in a matter of 4 paragraphs.

Give her credit for stating it up front. I once met a woman that didn't tell me until date 2.

Her pics are the equivalent to men flexing shirtless in the gym or at the gym. That's a hard left swipe for me.

My only issue is the "eff off" part. Maybe due to me being older. Do younger men really not get offended by this? Anything like that is a red flag for me as it conveys anger and unwillingness to change.

As a father to a young lady (23), I can't go very low. It just doesn't feel right. I haven't met any tired or low energy people in my age range. What I do see (mostly) are people that are laser focused on what they want, have good life experiences to share yet still willing to change and grow. This doesn't apply to all of them. Some are still set in their ways, have their guard up, not fully healed from their divorce, etc. but overall I've been impressed. The main issue is just breaking the ice.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen28/04/21 09:40 PM

Same to you! Just keep at it and I'm sure it'll happen.

I have to disagree. I (M49) don't want youth. Bring me experience and maturity.
