Moreover, I do like your system where the state picks up the tab if the accused is not proven guilty. But maybe it would also incentivize the state to only bring cases that had a proper foundation. Moreover, I am against the injustice of forcing an innocent to pay monumental legal fees. If the state can't prove the case, the accused should not have to pay.
