Social media in its current form has not been around for a decade, and I didn't try to attribute anything to a single cause, I merely listed what immediately occurs to me as changes that have occurred in the past 10 year that may have an effect.

So just arrange your grocery shopping to coincide with prime target availability so you don't think of yourself as a creep? If you think you're a creep it's gonna show. Fucking frame man.

Fuck social media. All it's good for is digital social proof for men and providing validation and an ego boost for women. You don't need it.

A decade ago? What has changed... social media? Tinder? Feminist empowerment?

I get that, and it makes hypergamy, AF/BB, and AWALT a lot easier to understand, but women cheating down the SMV scale? Isn't that like.. the opposite of hypergamy? What feeling/instinct/survival mechanism would that serve? The "humans are animals" is actually one of the main things that led me to TRP. I was very interested in evolutionary biology/psychology, and when you look at human behaviors from a detached analytical perspective, things make a lot more sense.

I know this is kind of a stupid question, as it pertains to women's decision making, but... Why? I understand hypergamy and AF/BB but what are they thinking?

Alright, I see where you're coming from, and agree. (Though i don't know that I'd agree natural beauty will always trump surgically enhanced beauty. I agree natural is better, but no all plastic surgery has to be taken to extreme levels.) My reaction was due to the seemingly common idea that steroids just make you huge. They do, but not without a lot of work and discipline. Plastic surgery only requires $$$. On top of that, I don't know that I would say steroids are "unnatural" in the same way p…

Steroids are definitely not comparable to implants. Firstly, you need to follow a strict diet and lifting routine for years to hit your genetic potential, and then you add in the steroids and the cycling to push the limits even further. That shit requires work, it's not a fucking cheat code, don't disrespect the people that utilize it because you're ignorant about it.

I have no sources but I'd wager a strong stoic frame would negate those effects.

I can second your personal experience. I spent a few years doing a lot of drugs (MDMA and LSD primarily) and some of the experiences/insights they left me with made it very clear that things were not as they should be. I've scaled way back now, but the realizations and insights I had have not changed. I ended a LTR that was going to fail eventually and focused on myself. The effect psychadelic experiences have on users have a lot to do with where they are in their lives, they types of literature…

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I've been following this subreddit closely for the past 3 years. About a year prior to cutting off my LTR (partly due to adopting many of the things here led to that, which I have no regrets about) I really started to change my ways. I read everything in the sidebar, "No More Mr. Nice Guy" was a real wake-up call for me, and I'd love to delve into some of the earlier stuff. I know you are one of the more influential members of the early movement, and that …

The thing about the "more fit people survive" idea is that people reproduce, especially the lower intelligence population, in their teens and early twenties, before a lot of major hereditary health issues have had time to make an appearance, so the issue isn't as self-correcting as it is in nature, especially with modern medicine as it is today.

Because you can only grow your money to a point that you can afford a nice car and/or hobbies and that's it? Or just let it sit there? (In which case it would continue to grow, and a few years later you sure as hell could do both.) Your mindset is just wrong.

Care to expand on the singling out of the audiobook version? I'm curious about what you're referring to. I've spent a lot more time with The 48 Laws than I have with Mastery (The 50th Law was good too) and haven't touched Seduction yet but it's been on my list for a while.

I'd wager that's universal, but there are messy people that are so used to their "way of things" that they can't imagine cleaning and tidying all the time, when really, it's a simple task that takes very little time (unless you let it build and build) that clears your head for more important things.

Clearly (and unfortunately, which forces one to wonder how they can utilize all the higher level knowledge shared here) there is a portion of the population here that doesn't recognize cleanliness/orderliness of one's own living space as relevant to the Hierarchy of Needs.

The initial naysayers don't surprise me but not living in a messy shithole does a lot for mental clarity.
