I"m just asking why everyone seems to insist NOT to when it seems like the girl is suggesting otherwise.

I'm afraid pulling a girl's hair would seem mega creepy. Idk maybe I just need more confidence to pull that off or more likely, better looks which it sounds like your friend possesses. just grab her by the waste and extend your hand, grab her hand, and then do the spin move. grab her waist from behind, then grab her hand and spin her so she's facing me? I don't quite understand the logistics of this move.

Dude you get exactly what I'm saying except at least you've gone for the approach. It seems the basic idea I've received is move to her side or front somehow to avoid the approach from behind, despite her seeming to ask for it. And go with an extended hand and big smile or something.

So turn around and butt bump her? It would've been kind of weird since I'd be facing away from the DJ where everyone else is pretty much facing - it was an EDM club setting. Maybe go up to her side and do a side butt bump?

You put your hand on her waist and then move to her side so you're side by side and not still behind her - is that what you mean? Idk I probably could've done just anything and been okay I was just overanalyzing things and feeling bad about not making any approach at all. I was definitely feeling the vibes from her - she kind of came out of nowhere, somewhere from behind me and started dancing in front of me, looking back at me, and what I really noticed was just the way she would grab her hair …

Appreciate the advice but I think you misunderstand what I was saying. I am doing what you suggested - having fun on the dance floor by myself. But I notice girls noticing me and the way they try to engage is by setting themselves up in front of me so that I am facing their backside. All you literally have to do is smile, look at them and put your hand out. I'm asking what to do when we're both facing the same direction and she's in front, pulling her hair to the sides, looking back at me, etc. …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
