Honestly I’m kinda extreme with my feelings about how crappy men are/can be/probably will be, but part of me still has a tiny bit of hope of being with a “good one” but reading stuff like this.... makes me wonder if this just something you have to accept about being in a relationship with a male?

As a person who was abandoned by father as a baby, sexually assaulted by my male babysitter, had an inappropriate friendship with a middle school sports team coach, was in an abusive relationship with a porn addict for 6 years, and used by male “friends” for sex when I was vulnerable.... I think subconsciously I knew but didn’t put it all together until I was 27-28 when I looked back at my life and realized many situations I was in were definitely not normal. I do not trust men and I don’t know …

This happened to me at 13, lost my virginity then, and I’ve regretted it since

Not as bad as this poor girl but, it kinda reminded me of my shit bag ex who, one year on my birthday, made us late for my plans for us to go out to my families restaurant, because his dad cooked lasagna (literary premade shitty frozen lasagna) and he felt bad, so we had to stay and eat it before going out, even though it was my birthday and I had already planned on us eating at the restaurant. (Also i share a bday with my mom so I felt extra rude because it was her time to celebrate too.) This …

Honestly I hope it’s a troll too but I was in a long term relationship with an lvm like this, at the time I did watch porn sometimes (this was before I knew it was harmful) one day he saw what I had been watching and literally would NOT let it go. He would insist that I was actually a lesbian, called me a pervert, would trick me and pretend he “understood” why I watched it and then turned around and tried to convince me there was something wrong with me. (It was ok when we watched it together th…

This is so close to how my abusive ex treated me, it’s scary. Every word of this is a red flag!

Ew this was my ex. Ugh god I’m having flashbacks. There were multiple times I noticed scabs on his dick and I would be like “..another one?” And he would try to claim it was from me. At the end of our relationship he admitted to being a porn addict. Like yeah I fucking know bud ?? but thanks for acknowledging and admitting it in order to manipulate me into feeling bad for you while you’re desperate for me to stick around I guess 🤮🤮

This started happening to me at the end of my long relationship with an abusive narcissist. He wouldn’t let getting pregnant go and always got mad if I didn’t want him to finish inside me. It got so scary and incredibly creepy.

Pardon my ignorance but what is a MVM?

So true. I’ve been there. I used to doubt my instincts so much before because I thought I might come off as “crazy.” I’m so glad I learned to trust my gut when it comes to men.

I relate so much to everything you said. This past year I cut all men/male friends out of my life, aside from my boyfriend, who has been nothing but a hvm (on the surface) for the past 3 years. I say on the surface because he does everything right all the time, but I always sorta knew and had a feeling that the stuff OP is talking about was true, so even though my partner appears as a hvm I always keep part of my guard up due to the fact that it’s just a man’s nature to act a certain way. Not su…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
